Maths Professor directs a Marathi film ‘Angai Geet’
Mathematics professor directing a Marathi film is itself a big news and that too a professor from a place like Tirupati in South India. It so happened that Narsinh Panthula who teaches maths to students appearing from IIT-JEE exams developed liking for films and was inspired by some foreign films including films from Iran. He has even made some short films. But, a sensational happening in Maharashtra which became a big news at national level in newspapers, invited the attention of this professor and he made up his mind to make a film on this subject. Accordingly, he wrote the script of his film ‘Angai Geet‘ . He even sought help from ‘Shwaas‘ film maker Sandeep Sawant.
Soon, he found a producer and presenter for this film in the form of Arun Kumar Mulye and Chandrashekhar Rayavar and now the film is all set to release on 16th February 2018. The film ‘Angai Geet‘ is set on the backdrop of rural Maharashtra and this social subject revolves around three main characters of Bhikaji, Anusaya & Siddhu. The lead artistes of this film are, Arun Nalawade, Abhay Khadapkar, Neeta Donde, Pratiksha Sable & Raj Bane.
