New film ‘Vitti Dandu’ offers ‘Vande Mataram’ song for Republic day
Marathi films have always offered inspiring songs, to remind about the sacrifice of the freedom fighters during the freedom struggle of our country. Now, new Marathi film produced by Leena Devre and directed by Ganesh Kadam are offering a timely gift on the occasion of country’s Republic day celebrations. According to the film makers, the song with the base of ‘Vande Mataram’ will be played on the occasion of Republic day at various places; to officially announce completion of their film ‘Viti Dandoo’
This devotional song has been penned by Aashay Parab on the music of Santosh Mulekar. But, the highlight of this song is that it is rendered by popular singer and music composer Shankar Mahadevan. The makers are sure about the popularity of this song, much before the release of their film. The film is due for release on 11th April 2014.
Vikas Kadam has written the story and screenplay of this film . The story of this film revolves around a small boy and his grandfather, which is set on the backdrop of pre independence and post independence period. The cast of the film comprises of Dilip Prabhavalkar, Ravindra Mankani, Yatin karyekar, Ashok Samarth, Mrunal Thakur, Gauhar Khan, Vikas Kadam, Ivin and three child artistes namely: Nishant Bhavsar, Shubhankar Atre and Radhika Devre. The film has been shot in picturesque Konkan area.
