Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Redu‘ has been in the news for the past few months before its official release. And the reason being that this film has been inviting all the attention at the various international film festivals. Just few days a go on the Maharashtra day, this film did a double dhamaka. Besides winning the prestigious state award for the best film, it also won the best film award at the Dadasaheb Phalke Film festival at Delhi.

Actually, ‘Redu‘ had received nine nominations in different categories in the state awards and went on to win six out of nine individual awards. The film had already won one declared award for Shrikant Desai for best make up. So, besides best film award, the film’s director Sagar Vanjari won the best direction award. The other awards for this film were bagged by Shashank Shende- best actor, best music – Narayan Gavande, best screenplay- Sanjay Navagire and best singer- Ajay Gogavale. The film will be released in theatres on 18^th May 2018.
