Known for her involvement in labour work through Paani foundation along with actor Aamir Khan and others for the past 3 years in Western Maharashtra, popular Marathi actress Sai Tamhankar will now be offering labour services voluntarily on 1^st May Maharashtra Day . Sai will be offering her services in a village near Pune on this day. And, this contribution to society made by Sai Tamhankar is certainly to be appreciated.

Narrating her experience in this field, Sai says , “While working in Western Maharashtra, I received a lot of satisfaction to sweat out during a sunny afternoon. While working one day with a spade in my hand and digging the soil in search of ground water, the Sarpanch of this village noticed me and expressed his desire to do the work, as he had never seen any actress inspiring others to do this work. ” She further adds, “If we put in some efforts to make some water available to the farmers, it is a biggest service.“
