Gudhi Padwa is an occasion to celebrate new year in Maharashtra. Ad Fizz, an entertainment company in Mumbai has been celebrating the occasion for the past seven years with different themes. This year’s theme will be ‘ladies special’. This year, two prominent ladies namely – Sanjana Kapoor, who has contributed a lot to keep the movement of theatre alive at Prithvi for the past 23 years and Mukta Barve, who has entertained Maharashtrian audience through her performances on stage, TV and films for the past 8 to 10 years; will be felicitated.

While Sanjana will be felicitated at the hands of Sulbha Deshpande, Mukta will receive her honours from Dr. Aruna Dhere. The entire programme to he held at Ravidra Natya Mandir at 4.30 pm on the auspicious Gudhi Padwa day, will be presented by all women from Marathi entertainment industry. Prominent among them will be Madhavi Juvekar, Sukanya Kulkarni, Priya Bapat, Leena Bhagwat, Pratiksha Lonkar, Chinmayee Sumeet Raghavan, Spruha Joshi, Madhavi Soman, Sampada Joglekar, Rekha Bade, Neela sohani and Shruti Bhave.
