Suprit Kadam – A Computer engineer, who quit his job to make a career in acting
Acting profession has opened new avenues not only for those freshers , but also for those who wish to switch over from their original professions like Doctors, Engineers, bankers to acting profession. Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Jaga Vegali Antyatra‘ has also open the doors to few such artistes. Suprit Kadam is one of them. Suprit who was interested in acting since his college days, used to perform mimicry, songs and also present programmes with Hindi film dialogues. He continued with this hobby at his Job place too, where he worked as a Computer Engineer .
One fine day, he made up his decision to quit his job, much against the wish of his parents and decided to devote his full time for acting. But, whatever he expected from this field did not happen, as per his wish. For about six months, he was cheated by middlemen who promised him roles and grabbed money. Soon, he started receiving small character roles in TV serials, after he went through the right direction of approaching the genuine casting co-ordinators. Suprit Kadam performed short roles in serials like ‘Julun yeti Reshimgathi‘, ‘Honar Suun Mi Hya Gharchi‘, ‘Ganapati Bappa Morya‘ & ‘Crime Petrol‘ and gained a lot of confidence of facing the camera.
One day he received a phone call from director Amol Lahande asking him whether he was interested to work a prominent role in his forthcoming film. Next day Suprit approached the director with his photos and video clippings of his work, when his selection was done by producer Dr.Nitin Toshniwal and director Amol for this film. Suprit is extremely happy about his role and especially this film, which he feels is best combination of very good story, good direction , scope for emotions and superb comedy with a message. “I am very thankful to Dr. Nitin Toshniwal and Amol Lahande for considering me for this role in their film. But, this was all possible because of my passion for acting. Last but not the least, this life comes to us only once. Whatever decisions one has to take should be at the right time,” he concluded.
