‘Vakya’ all set to release on 13th October
Nomads are known as a group of communities who travel from place to place for their livelihood. Though very poor and deprived they are still not facilitated with any constitutional safeguard and concern. The government of India in early 2006 has set up a commission for the development of these communities, so as to bring them to mainstream. But, 10 years have passed and not much has been done yet. To highlight this issue director Deepak Kadam has directed a Marathi film ‘Vakya’ , which is all set to release on 13th October 2017.
The film’s story is based on the life of Potraja who wants to come out of the old traditions and blind faith practiced by this community. So, ‘Vakya’ presents his struggle to reform. Highlight of this film is that the role of Potraja is portrayed by Rajdutt, veteran award winning film director and the other important character of Ghumya is played by Abhijit Kulkarni. Besides these two artistes, the other performers in this film are, Kishori Shahane, Prema Kiran, Ganesh Yadav & Priyanka Dnyanalaxmi. Music by Dev Ashish and cinematography by Trilok Choudhari are the other credits.
