Known for her organization- ‘Kalangan’ that provides children with a platform to display and enjoy their creative talents, Varsha Bhave had organized a unique programme ‘Rangayatra’ on 6th evening at SwatantryaVeer Savarkar Auditorium, Shivaji park. The programme was to celebrate Kalangan Jallosh 2012 by offering an opportunity to all her students, who have excelled in the classical vocal music. The programme also gave them scope to act, deliver dialogues and sing classical songs, while enacting the scenes of all popular classical Marathi dramas of yesteryears.

Right from the age of 4 and above, children dressed up in traditional costumes suited for the different period acts, rendered their best and received a loud applause from the encouraging elite audience present in the capacity packed auditorium. Scenes from the play ‘Sharada’ received overwhelming response with a ‘Once More’ request and the enthusiastic little girls obliged. Classical songs from the old hit plays ‘Matsyagandha’ and ‘Shatajanma Shodhitana’ also received a good response. Varsha Bhave herself an exponent of classical music in the company of Chaitanya Kulkarni presented some memorable songs.
