‘Times Marathi Film Icon 2019′ felicitate Marathi on screen and back stage artistes
Marathi films with their out of the box scripts have already impressed the film lovers all over the world. So, it will not be surprising if the top media houses don’t take note of the talented Marathi artistes and people behind making such films with mind blowing subjects. One such media house in Times Group, which had organised a big event (Times Marathi Film Icon) on Tuesday to felicitate Marathi artistes for their on screen performances over the years and those behind the screen for their contribution in making quality award winning films.
The grand event titled ‘Times Marathi Film Icon 2019′ felicitated three prominent Marathi artistes like Ashok Saraf, Sachin Pilgaonkar and Mahesh Manjrekar on this occasion. But apart from these three other talented personalities like Subodh Bhave, Amruta Khanvilkar, Ajay- Atul, Guru Thakur Aadarsh Shinde, Vikram Gaikwad & Mahesh Limaye were also honoured.
Reacting on his felicitation legend of Marathi film industry Ashok Saraf said, “This award is like an acknowledgement for my work. I was always having a doubt whether what I perform is really appreciated by the audience? But, with this award that doubt has been cleared.” Renowned actor director Producer Sachin Pilgaonkar also thanked Times Group and recalled his memories of his film ‘Ashi Hi Banvabanavi’ which was made by him 31 years ago. He also paid tributes to late Viju Khote who passed away only few days ago.
Ajay Atul whose music had popularised among music lovers during the past decade entertained the audience singing in their melodious voice. Among others who entertained the invitees were singers Priyanka Barve, Aditi Bhagwat and the team of ‘Bharatiya Digital Party’ which presented their stand up comedy. Pushkar Shrotri anchored the show . Among those who present on this occasion were celebrities like Reena Agarwal, Sayali Sanjeev, Sonalee Kulkarni, Prasad Oak, Nivedita Saraf, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Shweta Shinde, Jayant Wadkar, Rajesh Mhapuskar, Vaishali Samant, Ashok Shinde, Shreyas Jadhav and others.
One Beat Fellowship for Aditi Bhagwat
Renowned Classical dancer and actress Aditi Bhagwat has received fellowship from American Educational and Cultural Forum and Found Sound Nation. 30 representatives from different countries in the world have been invited to attend a workshop for one and a half month duration between 7th September and 15th October 2012. Aditi will represent India.
One Beat Fellowship concept has been founded by Ms. Hillary Clinton to promote peace and harmony around the world through the medium of Art and culture. The workshop will begin in Florida and will move to Washington visiting different universities to conclude at New York. The participants will get a chance to perform in the concluding session.
