‘Friendship Vs Love’ new film for youngsters launched with muhurat
Friendship and Love are often misunderstood by today’s young generation. Friends are always important for us during our school and college education. But, to define this friendship Abhilasha Films and Kavya Dreams Movies are coming together to make a Marathi film suitably titled ‘Friendship Vs Love’ , which was launched recently with muhurat at Prabodhankar Thackeray Rehearsal hall, Borivali, recently. Those present on the occasion were, cameraman Yogesh Andhare, writer Ashish Ningurkar, artistes Gaurav More, Pradeep kadu, Ajit Vasant Pawar, Sunil Jadhav along with technical team members like Swapnil Nimbalkar, Siddhesh Dalvi and others.
According to the makers of this film, in today’s Online world, somewhere the communication between friends is missing. While getting mobile phone addicts, the importance of ground games which are so necessary at this age are totally forgotten by them. And in this situation, even the real definition of ‘Love’ has changed and they believe Love in only physical attraction. The film will throw light on this aspect in an entertaining manner to explain the real definition of love.
Writer Ashish Ningurkar who did the reading of the script during the muhurat is very hopeful that the subject of this film will popularize among youngsters. The shooting of this film will begin soon.

Ganapati festival is considered to be the most auspicious time to launch or promote the Marathi films. Many film makers take advantage of this festival period by organising events at popular community Ganapati festivals in different parts of Mumbai and Pune. Kavya Dream Movies who are producing forthcoming Marathi film ‘Pratignya’ had organised unveiling of poster of their film at the Ganeshgalli Community Ganesh Festival, Lalbaug, to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha recently.
During this ceremony all those connected with this film were present, including writer Ashish Ningurkar, actor-and co producer Ajit Vasant Pawar, artistes Pradeep Kadu, Sunil Jadhav, Siddhesh Dalvi, production managers Pratish Sonavne and Swapnil Nimbalkar. Speaking on this occasion writer Ashish Ningurkar said that his film is based on real life incident and therefore besides entertainment would also send across a strong social message. Popular drama artiste Pradeep Kadu also expressed his views stating that such subjects should be highlighted through feature films to create awareness in the society.
Anna Hazare all praise for ‘Ek Hota Pani’ writer Ashish Ningurkar
We are already aware of social worker Anna Hazare’s fight against injustice to common man. At the same time, we are also aware of his efforts to eradicate poverty and water conservation in drought areas of Maharashtra. Keeping this in mind, writer of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Ek Hota Pani’ met Anna Hazare personally, to brief him about the subject of his film, based on water, which is so precious today.
Speaking on this occasion, Anna Hazare praised the efforts of the writer Ashish Ningurkar for selecting this subject and wished him all the best. “Time has come, when there will be a big war over water. If there is sufficient water, the village, district, state and country can prosper. It is unfortunate, in spite of having educated ministers and administrators in our state, still we are unable to have sufficient storage of water, to cater to the daily needs of lakhs of people. At my place Ralegansiddhi, you will find no shortage of water, as we have all worked hard towards water conservation. When other villages around are dependent on water tankers, we are able to supply water to nearby villages,” he said .
Therefore the subject of ‘Ek Hota Pani’ has invited the attention of all sensible film lovers. ‘Ek Hota Pani’ wins three awards
Marathi Journalist turned actor- script writer Ashish Ningurkar made his debut into Marathi films through ‘Rairand‘ two years ago. The film was based on the social issue of child labour and did receive good response from critics at some film festivals. Now, through his next film ‘Ek Hota Pani‘ Ashish Ningurkar has offered another social issue of water.
Produced under the banner of New talent Search and directed by Rohan Satghare, this film is also receiving a good response at film festivals. At the recently held first Ahmednagar International Film festival ‘Ek Hota Pani‘ has won three awards. Renowned veteran actor Anant Jog has received the award for best negative role, while the makers have won the Best film on social issue award. The third award for this film was received for best Poster.
Dealing with water conservation ‘Ek Hota Pani’ to release soon
Now days in Marathi films we find new writers and film makers presenting important social issues through their films. One such most important issue of water is being handled in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Ek Hota Pani‘, which has also highlighted the importance of water conservation. The shooting of this film is complete and presently the post production work is in progress. Recently, the new face in the film Sriya Mastekar completed her dubbing work at a studio, in presence of writer of the film Ashish Ningurkar and director Rohan Satghare.
The story of ‘Ek Hota Pani‘ film is set on the backdrop of a drought affected village. World famous ‘Aajinchi Shala’ now on Big Screen
There are many people in our society who are unable to complete their school education. Most of them are women. But, they always have a desire within to complete their school education. In Maharashtra at Fangane village in Murbad, there exists is one such school which is attended by old women and is called ‘Aajinchi Shala‘. Motiram Dalal Charitable Trust runs this school which is headed by Principal Yogendra Bangar. Various institutions all over the world and news channels have taken note of this unique school .Recently, another school for older men was also launched early this year in Shelari village.
Inspired by this world famous school of older women now there will be a Marathi film ‘Aajinchi Shala‘ which will see big screen. Written by Journalist turned film writer Ashish Ningurkar, this is his second film as a film writer after offering a successful film ‘Rairand‘ which received attention at many festivals. Incidentally, Ashish has also written the story of another Marathi film ‘Ek Hota Pani‘, which is due for release. ‘Aajinchi Shala‘ film will be directed by Yusuf Khan, who has worked as assistant to film maker Remo D’souza and has also worked as assistant director for ‘Race-3‘. Speaking to Marathimovieworld Ashish said that, “he was fortunate to have a talented director Yusuf Khan to give cinematic form to his story“.
‘JD ICE’ company which is producing this film have already taken permission from the Principal of the existing school to make the film on this subject. The principal of this school Yogendra Bangar also felicitated the writer and director of this film.
Writer Ashish Ningurkar announces his next film ‘Ek Hota Pani’
Two years ago, he was seen at press shows of Marathi films, as a freelance Journalist. Those days, he used to share his lyrics with his colleagues, besides discussing the subjects he had in mind for Marathi films. At that time, nobody thought that in two years time he would be part of two films.
Ashish Ningurkar, who looked confident with his subjects, did find well wishers to support his ideas and his first film ‘Rairand‘ as a writer on the subject of child labour, saw its release not only in theatres but also at various film festivals last year. At some film festivals, this film also won awards and appreciation.
Now, Ashish is coming up with his next film ‘Ek Hota Pani‘ as a writer, which is directed by Rohan Satghare. Ashish has made official announcement of this film on his official networking page, sharing the first poster of this film. Produced by New Talent Search Movies, this film presents many well known artistes, as declared by Ashish. And, the title of this film clearly suggests that this will be his second film dealing with another important social issue.
Writer Ashish Ningurkar plays a Journalist in his debut film ‘Rairand’
For the past few years Ashish Ningurkar has been silently working as a freelance journalist in Marathi film industry. He did try his luck as a lyricist in few films; but he found better scope in Friday released Marathi film ‘Rairand‘, which is based on the social issue about nomadic tribes and child labourers. The film has already received appreciation and awards from few International film festivals, where it was shown.
Besides writing two songs in this film, Ashish Ningurkar has also written the script of ‘Rairand‘ film, besides playing an important role of Journalist in this film. The film also stars, Anant Jog, Ranjit Kamble, Shyamkumar Shrivastav, Karan Kadam, Anand Wagh, Ajit Pawar, Pravin Bhabal, Sunil Jain, Suresh Dabhade, Rekha Nirmal, Gorakh Pathare, Zakir Khan, Nana Shinde, Santosh Choradia & Anurag Ningurkar. Music by Vikas Joshi and Cinematography by Rajesh Wavhal are the other credits. The film is produced by Suresh Shetty and directed by Ramesh Popat Nanaware.
Ashish Ningurkar is very happy that the film’s subject has been appreciated at different film festivals, wherever it was shown and is hopeful that people from Maharashtra would also respond positively to their sincere effort by watching this film in theatres. MarathiMovieWorld film critic visited Moviestar Goregaon multiplex to watch the 12 noon show on the first day. As per the advertisement in newspaper, the film’s show was also to be held at 12 noon at this theatre, but the booking clerk at the ticket window clearly stated that no such Marathi film was booked at their theatre. Hope the makers/distributors of ‘Rairand‘ would look into this matter.
