36^th Children’s play competition by Ravikiran group, was recently at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi. This competition received overwhelming response from different groups. It was inaugurated by Mr. Santosh Rokade, Director of P.L. Deshpande Academy . On the second day,renowned Production designer Pradeep Mulye was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners. Actress Vimal Mhatre, Dr. Madhuri Vinayak Gavande and Dhananjay Sardeshpande were the Judges for this competition. ‘Dheyadhund’ play was adjudged the best play in this competition.

This competition was held in memory of Late Jyotiram Kadam Sir formerly from Dr.K.M.S, Shirodkar High School. Mentioning about this the Programme Presenter Mr. Nagesh Vandre said ,”it was the wish of Kadam Sir that Ravikiran Group should organize Children’s play competitions and he had mentioned this way back in 1984.” On this occasion a  book with the collection of plays written by Kadam Sir were distributed to the representatives of the schools present on this occasion.
