Marathi Film Lifeline sends across a strong message
New Marathi film Lifeline is in the news today. This film, which has already won 11 international awards at different film festivals, has invited the attention of not only people from medical profession, but also film lovers. The film has a strong social message about organ donation, which has been very effectively presented through the screenplay to create awareness.
According to director Sahil Shirvaikar, he is overwhelmed by the response received from filmlovers. “ Organ donation is a serious subject and it was necessary to remove misunderstandings among people about this subject. In an entertaining way, we have tried to do it and the good response received by this film, from the film lovers says it all. Our entire team has shown their willingness for organ donation.
Besides the lead pair of Ashok Saraf and Madhav Abhyankar, the film stars Hemangi Kavi, Bharat Dabholkar, Jaywant Wadkar, Sharmila Shinde, Sandhya Kute, and Sameera Gujar in important roles.
Rajit Kapoor to Play Aurangzeb in Marathi film ‘Chhatrapati Sambhaji’
Actor Rajit Kapoor who became popular with his title role in equally popular TV serial ‘Byomkesh Bakshi’ will now be seen playing the role of the most hated Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Chhatrapati Sambhaji (छत्रपती संभाजी )’. This film is produced and directed by Rakesh Subesinh Dulgaj. Besides Marathi, this film will also be released simultaneously on 2nd February 2024 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
According to the director, Aurangazeb was a cruel ruler but at the same time he was ambitious. Therefore, we were in search of a versatile actor and we felt that Rajit Kapoor would do justice to this role. Rajit Kapoor while reacting on his role said that till now he has performed variety of roles; but through this film he had an opportunity to play a negative character. Along with Rajit Kapoor the film also stars Pramod Pawar, Shashank Udapurkar, Dilip Tahil, Mrunal Kulkarni, Mohan Joshi, Bharat Dabholkar, Lokesh Gupte, Bal Dhuri, Deepak Shirke, Amit Deshmukh, Late Anand Abhyankar, Samir, Mohini Potdar, Priya Gamre in prominent roles.
Music for this film is provided by Avinash Vishwajeet, Guru Sharma and Aarav, while background music is by Amar-Amit Desai. Cinematography by Suresh Deshmane, editing by Bharat Bahi, art by Anil Vath and action by P. Satish are the other credits.
