‘Dashakriya’ receiving response from American Radio channel
Marathi film ‘Dashakriya‘ which won 3 national and 11 State awards was released last Friday. But, the film received opposition from section of society, which felt offended with some scenes in the film. At some places in Maharashtra, despite police protection, some shows of this film could not be held due to protests . The worst affected place was Jalgaon, where shows of this film had to be cancelled.
However, according to the producers of ‘Dashakriya‘ film, at other places, the film received very good response, with audience coming in support of this film. The film has also received positive response from an American radio channel radiochai.com. On 20th and 21st November as per Indian time, between 9.30 pm to 1.30 am a detailed programme on this film was broadcast on this channel giving all the information about this film’s story to Americans and NRI’s. And this has boosted the morale of the producers and director of this film.

Director Sandeep Patil is confident that the audience would appreciate his film
Some film makers are confident about success of their films, much before their official release. Director Sandeep Bhalchandra Patil is one of them. For the past three years he was making the film ‘Dashakriya‘ and his efforts have already paid dividends, before release of this film. ‘Dashakriya‘ has already won three national awards, besides bagging some popular awards. Now, this film is all set for theatre release all over Maharashtra on 17th November 2017.
This is Sandeep Patil‘s debut film, but he is very confident that the audience would surely appreciate this film. Having gained considerable experience working with reputed directors of big and small screen. When Sandeep Patil wanted to make a film, he along with his friend Film PRO Ram Kondilkar launched a production company and went in search of story. He was very much inspired by Baba Bhand’s novel with the same name. Thereafter developing this story for cinematic format he approached Sanjay Krishnaji Patil and finally through him found a producer in Kalpana Vilas Kothari , who was also impressed with the story. According to Sandeep he has presented a sensible subject in an entertaining way.
‘Dashakriya’ among six Marathi films selected for IFFI Film Fest
Marathi film ‘Dashakriya’ which won four awards at the 64th National Film awards, will be officially released in Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and other places on 17th November 2017. But, the good news for this film is that it has also been selected for screening at the International Film festival of India (IFFI) which is scheduled between November 20th to November 28th 2017 at Goa. ‘Dashakriya’ finds its entry among six Marathi films, which have been recommended by Maharashtra Government as official entries of Marathi films.
It may be recalled that director of this film Sandeep Bhalchandra Patil received recognition on his debut for presenting the subject which was new to films. No wonder the film won four national awards. The film is based on the original novel with the same name written by Baba Bhand, which has been given cinematic form by screenplay writer Sanjay Krishnaji Patil. Produced by Ms. Kalpana Vilas Kothari the film stars versatile artistes like Dilip Prabhavalkar, Manoj Joshi, Milind Shinde, Milind Phatak, Uma Sardeshmukh, Asha Shelar, Nandakishore Choughule, along with Arya Adhav, Vinayak Ghadigaonkar & Aditi Deshpande. Renowned cinematographer Mahesh Aney has captured the photography of this film.
‘Dashakriya’, ‘Kasav’ & ‘Ventilator’ bag National awards
Marathi film ‘Kasav‘ produced by Sumitra Bhave, Sunil Sukthankar and Mohan Agashe has won Golden Lotus National award for best film at 64th National awards declared on Friday, while Priyanka Chopra‘s first Marathi film ‘Ventilator‘ as a Producer has bagged three national awards. In the regional film category awards, film ‘Dashakriya‘ was declared the best Marathi film. The director of the film ‘Ventilator‘ Mr. Rajesh Mapuskar has won the award for Best direction, Rameshwar Bhagat won the award for best editing, while Alok De won the Best Sound design award, bringing a big smile on the face of their celebrity producer. The technical team in the presence of director Rajesh Mapuskar celebrated this happy occasion, by cutting the Victory cake late in the evening.
It may be recalled that this film had many well known artistes from Marathi film, television and Drama field to bring humour into this emotion filled film on a thought provoking subject. Highlight of the film was return of Ashutosh Gowarikar as an actor in ‘Ventilator‘ film, playing an important role. Well Known Bollywood artiste Boman Irani was seen in a special appearance , while Priyanka Chopra was also seen in a guest appearance. The film had received good response from Marathi film lovers and now these three National awards are sure to raise the morale of the entire team.
