Actress Pritam Kagne to play a dashing Police Officer in her next film ‘Ahilya’
After impressing the audience with her roles in films like ‘Halal‘,’Sangharshyatra‘ and ’31st October’, Actress Pritam Kagne is now playing a dashing Police officer in her next Marathi film ‘Ahilya’ which will be released soon. Besides ‘Ahilya’ Pritam has three more films which are also due for release, besides a Hindi film ‘Monsoon Football’ So, the second half of 2018 seems to be good for Pritam .
For this challenging role of a committed IPS Officer, Pritam has really worked very hard. She trained herself for two months to work on her physical fitness and practiced cycling, Karate and swimming and also bullet firing to prepare for this character. Pritam is herself very excited to see her in this role on big screen. ‘Ahilya’ is written and directed by Raju Parsekar for producer Sudhir Chari. The film also stars Rohit Sawant, Priya Berde, Amol Kagne, Pramod Pawar, Nutan Jayant, Nisha Parulekar.
Ashok Saraf to play Loveguru in forthcoming Marathi film
The legend of Marathi film industry Ashok Saraf was in great form as a romantic hero through many entertaining Marathi films during the 80s and 90s. Later, we saw him playing important character roles suited to him during the past decade. Having established himself as a Comedy King, he has been offered variety of roles from many film makers. Now, Ashok saraf will be seen in a prominent role of a ‘LoveGuru‘ in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Hridayat Something Something‘.
According to producer of this film Vinodkumar Jain, Ashok Saraf was most suited for this kind of role, as it has a mixture of comedy and romance, which he is good at, while director Praveen Raja karle feels that Ashok Mama who has a terrific timing for comedy, will surely entertain Marathi film lovers with his tips in the role of LoveGuru. The film stars young pair of Aniket Vishwasrao and Sneha Chavan along with Priyanka Yadav and Bhushan Kadu. The release date of this film will be 5th October 2018.
‘Lathe Joshi’ to travel to Taiwan & Russia
Marathi film ‘Lathe Joshi‘ which was presented by Amol Kagne has won about 20 awards at various National and international film festivals . The film will now travel to Taiwan & Russia. In Taiwan, the film has been selected in the 58th Asia Pacific Film festival , while in Russia it will be screened at the Sakhlin International film festival.
Directed by Mangesh Joshi, the film had already received critical acclaims from media persons as well as from sensible audience after its official release. Speaking about the selection of the film at Taiwan and Russian film festivals, presented Amol kagne seemed extremely happy. After ‘Halal‘ this was our second film which dealt with an important social issue, which has been appreciated by film lovers all over the world. The film stars Chittaranjan Giri, Ashwini Giri, Om Bhutkar, Seva Chauhan & Ajit Abhyankar.
Poster of Marathi film ‘Patil’ launched
The poster of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Patil‘ was launched by renowned Marathi film producer-director and actor Sachin Pilgaonkar recently. Present on the occasion were dignitaries like Shrikant Bharatiya, Omprakash Shetye, Script writer Imtiaz Hussain, Hemant Patil, Director Shivaji Lotan Patil and others. The film is ready for release on 26th October 2018 all over Maharashtra.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest Sachin Pilgaonkar was all praise for debutant director Santosh Ramnina Mijgar, who later promised everyone that his film has lot many things to offer to Marathi film lovers. The film presents inspiring journey of lead character Shivaji Patil. The star cast of this film comprises of Shivaji Lotan Patil, Varsha Dandle, Bhagyashree Mote, Narendra Deshmukh, Pratima Deshpande, Suresh Pillay, Kapil Kamble along with Dr. Jagadish Patil in a special appearance. Music by Anand Milind, Sonali Uday, Prabhakar Narwade, D.H.harmony,SRM Elian and background music by Amar Mohile are other credits.
Aniket & Sneha film ‘Hrudayat Something Something’ to release on 5th October
We are all aware that Aniket Vishwasrao and Sneha Chavan got engaged on 5th August and exactly two months after that their film ‘Hrudayat Something Something‘ is all set to release on 5th October 2018 all over Maharashtra. Both Aniket and Sneha came closer during the shooting of ‘Hrudayat Something Something’ film at different locations like Alandi, Pune, Mumbai and Goa and this helped them to understand each other better.
When Aniket was asked to comment on how their bonding took place, he stated that being food lovers brought them more closer. However, Aniket also admits that besides food, they have different viewpoint. “While I am an introvert, Sneha is very socializing type and also mischievous. However, her sincerity, hard work and talent impressed me a lot,” says Aniket, while talking about his would be life partner. Directed by Praveen Raja karle, the poster of this film has been released on social networking sites and also shows Priyanka Jadhav along with Aniket and Sneha. But, the other artistes artists of this film are not known yet.

‘Home Sweet Home’ will be tribute to Reema Lagoo
Reema Lagoo has left this world due to her untimely demise. But, through the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Home Sweet Home‘ her admirers can watch her performance, which is like a tribute to her. In this film Reema Lagoo will be seen in the role of a housewife, along with other renowned artistes like Mohan Joshi, Spruha Joshi, Hrishikesh Joshi, & Vibhavari Deshpande. This film will be Hrishikesh Joshi’s debut film as a director and revolves around redevelopment of relations. Produced by Ranjit Thakur, The film will be released all over Maharashtra on 28th September 2018.
It may be recalled that Reema was inspired to take up acting , as acting was in her blood. Her mother Mandakini Bhadbhade was a renowned actress. After completing her school education from Hujurpaga School in Pune, Reema began her acting career through Marathi stage and later went on to perform in Marathi and Hindi films simultaneously. She had performed character roles in more than 50 Hindi films, besides performing on television. Perhaps, ‘Home Sweet Home‘ will be her last Marathi film to be released.
Kiran Mane pays tributes to Late Dada Kondke on his Birth anniversary
Dada Kondke will always be remembered for the Kind of humour he brought into Marathi film industry, with his perfect timing for comedy in almost each and every film he performed right from the days of ‘Songadya‘ in 1971 till ‘Vajavu Ka‘ in 1995. For 25 years he offered entertainment to his fans in Marathi as well as Hindi. In every entertainment programme of awards function, Dada is remembered through performance on his songs.
Now, almost twenty years have passed since the legendary comedian left this world. Born on 8th August, today is his birth anniversary and had he been alive, he would have celebrated his 85th birthday today.
