Highlight of ‘Kaali Maati’ film will be song on ‘Bail Pola’ Fest
Besides a good script, the songs in the film play a very important role in the success of the film. Keeping this in mind in the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Kaali Maati’ Director Hemantkumar Mahale has narrated an inspiring story of the national award winning and progressive peasant Dnyaneshwar Bodke. We are already aware about the relationship between a peasant and his bull, which is a very intricate and intimate one and can never be separated.
One major highlight as well as the novelty of the film ‘Kaali Maati’ is that it boasts of a song on a bull and peasant which according to them has hitherto not been shown in any film in Marathi till date. Hemantkumar Mahale has not only directed this film but also produced the film. Talking about the picturisation of the bull song in ‘Kaali Maati’, Hemantkumar Mahale reiterated, “All the villagers get together to celebrate Bail Pola festival and worship the bull and feed them. Thereafter lovely traditional dances are on display, besides lavni dances where a lot of villagers and the bulls participate with gay abandon. The star cast of this film comprises of Ompraksh Shinde, Aetashaa Sansgiri, Diksha Bhor, Bhagwan Pachore, Poonam Patil, P.K. Waghmare and others. In this film Omprakash has enacted the role of Dnyaneshwar Bodke. Lyricist Kalyan Ugale has written the song on the bull while Avinash-Vishwajeet duo have composed the number. Dr. Gauri Kavi and Priyanka Mitra have sung this song. The song with the words ‘Sun Aala Bail Polyacha’ was picturised at Khed, near Pune and has a blend of classical, lavni, folklore and lejheem. While Mayur Adkar has written the screenplay of the film, the dialogues have been penned by Anil Raut and Hemantkumar Mahale. Suresh Suvarna & Raja Phadtare have cranked the camera. Subhiraj Rajput is the editor of this film, which is slated for release shortly all over Maharashtra.
‘Kaali Maati’ bags 301 awards in 194 days
Marathi film ‘Kaali Maati’ was completed during the initial lockdown period. But, prior to its release this film has succeeded in winning several National as well as Global awards at various prestigious film festivals. Till date this film has won 301 awards in just 194 days, which is a big record. Produced and directed by Hemantkumar Mahale, ‘Kaali Maati’ has been inspired by life and times of the National award winning ideal farmer Shri Gyaneshwar Bodke and shows how strenuously with dedication and hard work, the story of farmers who have succeeded in coming up with around 400 crores rice crop has been driven home by his inspiring real life story.
Out of these 301 awards, 61 awards were bagged by director Hemantkumar Mahale for his direction. The film will now march towards various other festivals after having been showcased in India, Malaysia, France, Europe, London and USA. Producer-Director Hemantkumar Mahale says that his aim is to garner at least 351 prestigious awards in all for his ambitious thought provoking and progressive film and adds that it is by itself a world record for a film to garner so many awards. He has already briefed the Guinness Book of World Records, Limca Book of World Records, Asia Book of Records, India Book of Records etc about his achievement and they are likely to confer on him the certificates shortly.
The film stars among others Omprakash Shinde, Aetashaa Sansgiri, Diksha Bhor, Bhagwan Pachore, Poonam Patil, P.K. Waghmare in key roles. Music has been composed by the Music Director duo Avinash-Vishwajeet while Suresh Suvarna and Raja Phadtare are the Cameramen. ‘Kali Mati’ spreads its fragrance at Film Fests across the world
The success story of Renowned progressive National award winning farmer Dnyaneshwar Bodke has inspired many people in Maharashtra. Based on his success story is new Marathi film ‘Kali Mati’ produced and directed by Hemantkumar Mahale. The film has been inviting all the attention, prior to its release, for winning 52 various awards in different categories 42 of which have been for best film, 7 for best direction and one each for best actor, best music and best cinematography respectively, at the national and international film festivals.
The film has very well presented the role of Government and banking sector in helping the farmer to prosper in his business. Well known television actor Omprakash Shinde has played the lead character of Dnyaneshwar Bodke in this film, while the other important characters are played by Bhagwan Pachore, Poonam Patil, newcomer Etasha Sanzgiri and Disha Bhor.Screenplay by Mayur Aadkar, dialogues by Anil Raut, cinematography by Suresh Suvarna, music by Avinash Vishwajeet are the other credits of this film. ‘Kali Mati’ will be released soon in theatres.
