Laxman Kagne is now a known name among Marathi film lovers. ‘Halaal’ produced by him brought him name and fame. And after that he produced two more sensible films like ‘Lathe Joshi’ and ‘Perfume’. But, more than this he is also known for his work in social field. His ‘Ayodhya’ institute has hospital and college involved in social service. His decision to enter film production was only to spread awareness about social issues among people.

This time through his latest film ‘Vajvuya Band Baja’ he will be offering light entertainment. Highlight of this film is that after winning National awards for the film ‘Halaal’, Laxman Kagne and Shivaji Lotan Patil are coming together once again. Speaking about his entry into film making, Mr. Laxman Kagne said, “Films are mirror of reflection of society and therefore through a film there can social awareness very effectively. There are many topics which need to reach out to the people and in just three hours a film is able to communicate the message to thousands of people at a time.”

This film is about to release soon, but till now the names of the artistes haven’t been disclosed. But, one thing is sure that there will be three couples who are eager to get married. And they are all well known artistes. Screenplay-dialogues by Nishant Nathram Dhapse, cinematography by Nagraj Diwakar and music by Vijay Gatlewar are the other credits of this film.
