Five Marathi films to release together on November 27th
This week not a single Marathi or Hindi film was released; but, on coming Friday, i.e.27th November 2015 five Marathi films will be releasing together. The names of these films are ‘Dhangarwada’, ‘Mahanayak’, ’Shali’, ’Shinma’ and ‘Urfi’. Now, taking about the genre of all these films, we find that ‘Dhangarwada’ presented by Alka Kubal Athalye and directed by her cinematographer turned director Sameer Athalye, the film presents the story on the backdrop of the shepherd community and their struggle for survival. It will be the last film of Late Sadashiv Amrapurkar, who has played an important role in this film. It is understood that Mr. Amrapurkar had taken part in film’s shooting, in spite of his ill health, to keep his commitment.
‘Mahanayak’ is a biopic on the life of Vasantrao Naik , the dynamic and most respected former chief Minister of Maharashtra. Chinmay Mandlekar plays the central character and it will be interesting to see, whether he has given justice to his role. The film is directed ny Nilesh Raosaheb Jalamkar. The third film ‘Shali’ is based on the story of late Shankar Patil and is about the happening of events in the life of a young girl. Except for few senior artistes the artistes in this film are new.
Milind kavade’s next film ‘Shinma’ is also releasing coming Friday; but, the director is not worried about competition faced by his film, from other films. This film has a big star cast, but the songs of this film have already popularized, as Mr. kavade has ensured a timely message about importance of water in the lives of people living in drought affected villages.But, he has tried to pass it on, in an entertaining manner. Hindi film & TV actress Gurleen Chopra is making her debut through this film, which also stars Ajinkya Deo, Saurabh Gokhale, Sanskriti Balgude, Vijay Patkar, Kishori Shanane, Nisha Parulekar, Ganesh Acharya and others.
‘Time Pass’ fame Prathamesh Parab will have one more release coming Friday, with the name of ‘Urfi’ which is a debut film of Mitali Mayekar , who has already invited the attention of the audience, through her performance in the songs of this film, already shown on music channels. This film is directed by Vikram Pradhan, also stars Upendra Limaye, Kavita Lad & Milind Pathak.
Now, with this big competition to be noticed on coming Friday, among these five films, it remains to be seen, which film draws good crowds at theatre windows.

Synopsis
‘Mahanayak- Vastant Tu’ : Marathi film ‘Mahanayak- Vastant Tu’, which is a biopic on the life of dynamic and most respected former chief minister of Maharashtra late Vasantrao Naik, we find talented actor Chinmay Mandlekar playing his role. To perform this role, which is a political journey of this leader from the age 30+ to 60+, Chinmay needed to be in that particular get up.
