I thought of sending across the message in my own way through a comedy,” she said.
The rushes of the film along with two songs were shown to the Press, making it very clear that T2N2 was a total entertainment package. The film is targeted at all age groups with Makarand and his real life wife Shilpa playing husband and wife on screen and Pushkar and Manasi playing the young couple. Mohan Joshi gets a chance to play a hard core politician. Deepshika in guest appearance has performed a Lavani in this film, on a song rendered by Kavitha Krishnamurthy. The film’s music is provided by Nitin Hiravkar on the lyrics of Prakash Rane. Marathi Cinema has a great tradition of movie in the areas of politics as well as comedy. When it comes to political movies, the real blockbusters, whose powerful impact still there in the minds of viewers are ‘Sinhasan’, ‘Vajeer’, and ‘Sarkarnama’. These are the milestones when it comes to political movies.
“Gallit Gondhal …..” has almost nothing in common to these movies except that it is also a political movie and like Sarkarnama it is about the political rivalry (to some extent) .What will happen if comedy and politics merge together ; the answer is the movie “Gallit Gondhal ….”, a complete entertainer .
Story of a movie revolves around 3 characters, Aamdar Chandrakant Tope (Sayaji Shinde), Sarpanch Bajirao Dole (Nagesh Bhosle) and Narayan Wagh (Makrand Anaspure). Tope and Dole are the strong enemies to each other and both compete for election tickets from a party. Narayan is a patch up guy between them, who is friendly with both of them and shows both of them that he is with them only. But Narayan is a smart guy who is also competing for the same ticket with these two. So, who finally wins and what funny strategies were made to win over other on every step is a treat to watch in a movie.
Movie is all about village politics, yet one can identify that there is no urban and rural when it comes to politics. “Gallit Gondhal…..” is a highly predictable as a concept but still its presentation is hilarious and enjoyable. Movie comments on the politics in very sarcastic way and does not lose the track from start to end. There is only 1 song in the movie which also comes as part and not feels like distraction. Strong start, effective dialogues, good presentation, powerful performances and appropriate ending are the biggest strengths of the movie. Rivalry sequences between the families of Tope and Dole are really well made.
The movie is full of funny sequences which makes viewer’s experience even lighter.

All the 3 leads in movie performs very well. Sayaji, retuning after a long time to Marathi screen gives full justice to character. Same with the Nagesh and Makarand. Nagesh, who is also director of the movie, looks amazing as Bajirao Dole, Sarpanch. But to mention one thing, Nagesh – perform really remarkable in his first venture as a director. Throughout the movie we feel that Nagesh as a director is competing strongly with Nagesh as an actor.
And finally, what to say about Makrand. He literally rules the movie from beginning. He makes movie really enjoyable through his unique style of dialogue delivery and performance. This movie will be another landmark in his career as an actor.
Overall the movie is enjoyable, perfect for current political situation and fully enjoyable. Go for it….!
‘Mi Shivajiraje Bhosale Bolatoye’ has received enormous response from all over Maharashtra.
In Indian history the kings had effectively influenced the life of us. Most of them were inherited their crown but Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was totally different from them. With the help of guidance from his mother Jijabai and teacher Dadoji Konde he established the Hindu Swaraj and save the common people from Nizam Shah and Mugals. This Swaraj was the best example of good administration wherein slow and gradually Marathi Sansruti developed.
Now we noticed that Maharashtra which is made by him with many difficulties is now in danger because of the immigrants from another states. The calm and quite nature of Maharashtrians has been misused by these people. So Mahesh Manjerkar has made a movie giving message that Marathi should make a progress of its own.
Ashvami films and Everest entertainment private limited has produced ‘Mi Shivajiraje bhosale bolatoye’ which has released in two hundred theatres which itself is a record for Marathi film. ‘ULADHAAL’ REVIEW

Rating: ★★1/2
Producer: Vishwas Films Director: Aditya Sarpotdar Script, Screenplay, Dialogues: Rajesh Kolan,Vijay Patwardhan, Aditya Sarpotdar Camera: Sanjay Nair Music: Ajay-Atul Cast: Makarand Anaspure, Bharat Jadhav, Ankush Chaudhari, Siddharth Jadhav, Lokesh Gupte, Subodh Bhave, Madhura Movie Review by: Jitendra More |
Have you ever watched a Marathi movie with a perfect blend of all the genres of cinema? Well, veteran actors and directors concerned with the future of the industry do not have to worry anymore when there are directors like Aditya Sarpotdar coming up with debut movies like Ulaadhal.
The plot might look simple on paper but the way in which Sarpotdar connects the actors with the storyline is something that shapes up the movie.
Sayajirao’s (Makarand Anaspure) 250-year-old dhaal (shield), which has been safeguarded by generations is stolen by Guru (Subodh Bhave). Guru is helped by Sayajirao’s men after they are promised a share in the money that would come after selling off the dhaal. Guru, however, has other plans. He kills Sayajirao’s men but Baban (Lokesh Gupte) manages to save himself. He chases Guru, who is on his way to Goa to sell the dhaal.

When Sayajirao finds out the betrayal by his men, he determines to kill those who have been disloyal to him.
In Goa, Baban hires small thieves Vickey (Ankush Chaudhary), Bharat Jadhav and their partners in crime, Neha and Preeti (Aditi Sarangdhar and Madhura Velankar) to steal the dhal from Guru. While Sayajirao and his men get hold of Baban, Vickey and his partners fight out their nerves against the brutal Guru. Unable to find Baban, they decide to sell the dhal themselves. They ask Sikandar (Siddharth Jadhav), a dealer in selling stolen items to find a prospect buyer for the dhal. Sikandar ends up narrowing down on Guru. This is where the entire Ulaadhal or commotion begins.
The elements of a commercial cinema like the designer clothes and exotic locations of Goa and Mauritius take the movie a step ahead of the everyday movies. Scriptwriter Rajesh Kolan has maintained the seriousness, humour, and thrill that keep the logical element of the movie in place.
The lead actors Makarand Anaspure, Subodh Bhave, Bharat Jadhav and Ankush Chaudhary have given strong performances. Anaspure has moved nicely from his usual comic roles to a serious man-of-honour, who is proud of his family heritage and is ready to give his life to save the dhal. Bharat Jadhav and Siddharth Jadhav, as a Hydrabadi Kabadiwala add to the comedy element in the story. The appearances of Mahesh Manjrekar as an ‘item number’ and Nirmal Pandey as Tony are unnecessary but add to the glamour. What scores is the music by Ajay- Atul, the lyrics that have a fusion of Marathi, Hindi, and English words and the direction of Sarpotdar. All kudos to the Ulaadhal team.
