‘Maziya Priyala Preet Kalena’ on Zee Marathi
Ektaa Kapoor is all set to launch her first Marathi venture o ‘Maziya Priyala Preet Kalena’ on small screen. The so called eternal love story will be televised on Monday to Saturday at 8 pm w.e.f 14th June 2010 on Zee Marathi.
This TV serial is a pure love story of an innocent NRI girl and a lovable boy belonging to a middle class family, portrayed by fresh faces Mrunal Dusanis and Abhijeet Khandkekar. The cast also includes Sneha Kulkarni, Prasad Jawade as new faces from ‘Maharashtracha Superstar’, a popular acting reality show of Zee Marathi. Along with them renowned theatre artistes Sanjay Mone, Suhita Thatte, Sumukhi Pendse, Amita Khopkar are playing major roles.
Talking about the first marathi venture of Balaji Productions, Ekta Kapoor has revealed that she was not really concerned about the cast or the lavish sets; but all that mattered to her was the strong storyline. On opting for newcomers, she says, “I would prefer a hard working guy or a girl, who is not so popular, but has that passion to work hard and possesses the art of perfection.”
Sanjay Surkar Directed ‘Ardhangini’ on E TV Marathi.
Smita Talwalkar is back to the small screen with her new serial ‘Ardhangini’. Through her Asmita Films ‘Ardhangini’, the new TV serial will start its telecast on E TV Marathi from June 15.
The serial has Aditi Sarangdar and Swapnil Joshi in the lead. The story revolves around ‘Arundhati’ and her struggle to create an identity of her own. It is easy to solve problems one faces but when the problems affect one’s identity then it is important to prove one’s existence. Such is the story of ‘Arundhati’, who is the only child of businessman Manohar Mandke. Freedom fighter Dada Sarpotdar’s and Mandke are childhood friends. To turn their friendship into a relation, Mandke marries off his daughter Arundhati to Sarpotdar’s son Pratap, a young man interested in politics.
The twist in the story comes when Bansode, a rival to Pratap in politics, plays a bad game against him which directly affects ‘Arundhati’. She is forced to prove her identity and existence to her new family. Does she get success in achieving this? How is Pratap’s personal and political life affected by all this?
Another secret about ‘Arundhati’s’ life is only known to Mandke and his family doctor. What is this secret and how does it affect ‘Arundhati’. Watching this drama unfold will be interesting.
Aditi Sarangdar and Swapnil Joshi as Arundhati and Pratap respectively will be good to watch.
