‘Takatak 2′ shooting concludes
In spite of the ongoing situation due to partial lock down, director Milind Kavde known for completing his shooting schedule in time, managed to finish the shooting of his latest film ‘Takatak 2’ recently. Takatak 2 is a sequel of ‘Takatak’’by the same director made two years ago, which turned out to be a hit film at the box office. . Now, while shooting for ‘Takatak-2’ luck helped in a big way, as the unit was able to complete the shooting of the film amidst stringent lockdown. The entire team of ‘Takatak 2’ feel that this has been possible only with the blessings of their well wishers.
Produced by Om Prakash Bhatt and Dhananjay Singh Masoom, ‘Takatak 2’ team launched the film in Goa with a grand mahurat and even completed most of the film briskly under the banner of Purple Blue Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Thereafter when the second wave of Corona started, it was decided to shoot their balance portions of the films at Baramati & Bhor strictly adhering to the bio-bubble protocols of the government according to director Milind Kavde.
The film stars Prathamesh Parab, Akshay Kelkar, Ajinkya Raut, Bhumika Kadam, Pranali Bhalerao, Komal Bodkhe, Swapnil Rajeshirke, Kiran Mane, Pankaj Vishnu, Kiran Berad, RJ Mahesh Kale, Smita Dongre .
First schedule shoot of ‘Takatak 2′ completed in Goa
At a time, when film shootings have almost come to halt in Maharashtra due to new restrictions on spread of corona virus in state, film producers are finding new destinations for shoot outside Maharashtra. Film maker Milind Kavde who recently announced ‘Takatak 2′ a sequel to his previous hit film ‘Takatak’ wanted to begin shooting of his film in time. So, he preferred Goa for the first schedule of shooting. And his team including the artistes supported him well. They have successfully completed the first schedule of his film’s shooting well in advance and have returned back, just a day before Goa Government also imposed night curfew in their state.
Milind Kavde has thanked his team for their support. “Not only all the artistes displayed their best prowess but also helped to complete the shooting in time with proper planning. They easily developed proper chemistry which helped them combine work with pleasure.” The film stars Prathamesh Parab along with a big team artistes comprising of Akshay Kelkar, Ajinkya Raut, Bhumika kadam, Pranali Bhalerao, Komal Bodkhe, Bharat Ganeshpure, Asha Shelar, Kiran Mane, Pankaj Vishnu, Nisha Parulekar, Rahul Belapurkar, Kiran Berad, RJ Mahesh Kale, and Abhay Kulkarni.
Story and screenplay of this film are penned by director Milind Kavde himself. Nilesh Gundale is DOP of this film while Varun Likhte has composed the music. The film is being produced by Purple Bull Entertainment Pvt Ltd
‘Oh My Ghost’ to release on 12th February
Jumping Tomato Marketing Pvt Ltd and FilMotion Pictures together with producers Sana Wasim Khan and Rohandeep Singh have announced the release date of their Marathi comedy film ‘Oh My Ghost’. The film will be released in cinema halls on 12th February 2021. Based on the story of Mohsin Chawda who has also written the dialogues of this film, the film is directed by Wasim Khan. Additional dialogues are written by Nikhil Lohe.
The film stars Prathamesh Parab in the lead role of an Orphan Jaggu along with Kajal Sharma, Pankaj Vishnu, Kurus Debu, Prem Gadhvi, Deepali Patil and Apoorva Deshapnde in lead roles. The film was shot at Aurangabad. Rohit Raut is the singer and music director of this film, while background music is provided by Satya, Manik and Afsar. Hanif Shaikh is the action director, while art direction is by Khushboo Kumari.
The story of this film revolves around the lead character of an Orphan – Jaggu who sees ghosts in his dreams and considers himself most unhappy person. How he finds his way out of this, is what the film’s story is all about.
‘Darling’ will be the first Marathi film announced for New year (2021) release
After erasing our bad memories of 2020, now the Marathi film industry is getting ready to welcome the new year with big hope. ‘Darling’ will be the first Marathi film to open the account for the new year, with official announcement of its release on 7th January 2021. The title song of this film has already received appreciation from the audience and now the second song ‘Yeh Hai Pyaar….’Is also likely to get the same response from music lovers.
‘Darling’ is produced by Amit Dhupe, Ajay Thakur, V.J. Shalakha and Nikhil Khajindar under the banner of 7 Horse Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., V. Patke Films and Kathakar Motion Pictures. Sameer Asha Patil has directed this film . The director is of the opinion that the audiences will get an entirely different experience altogether when they watch the film, because of the hard work put in by their brilliant technicians who are the people behind the scenes. Music composers Chinar and Mahesh say that they have painstakingly worked on composing the music for this film.
Title song of ‘Darling’ unveiled
Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Darling’ has been in the news ever since the poster and first look were unveiled. Recently, the title song of this film was also unveiled . Prathamesh Parab to return with ‘Darling’

‘Tu Parat Ye’ song released to boost the morale of people
The spread of corona virus has forced the Government to extend the lockdown period in Maharashtra. Our Marathi artistes who are also required to remain at home, are coming out with their ideas to entertain the people of Maharashtra observing all lockdown rules. Recently, 10 Marathi artistes became part of the song ‘Tu Parat Ye’ written and composed by S. Sagar and directed by Swaroop Balasaheb Sawant.
This song video released now is produced by Sachin Dubale Patil and has been shot on the following 10 artistes, namely Prathamesh Parab, Pranav Raorane, Akshay Tanksale, Nikhil Vairagar, Vijay Andalkar, Nikhil Raut, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Siddheshvar Zadbuke, Jayesh Chavan and Swaroop Balasaheb Sawant. The purpose behind producing this video is to offer prayer to God for normalising the tense situation for a better tomorrow. It is an effort to boost the morale of people who are living in tense situation.
Prathamesh Parab in and as ‘Talli’
Producer Sanjay Gopalkar whose short film ‘Uttarand’ won many Indian and International awards is now making an entertaining Marathi film ‘Talli’ starring Prathamesh Parab, in lead and central role. The name of this film itself suggests that it will be comedy film, but the makers of the film suggest that besides family entertainment this commercial film will also offer a social message. According to the producer, he selected Prathamesh for this role because he felt that he would be able to give full justice to his character in this film.
Reacting on his role in this film, Prathamesh says, “Till now I have received good appreciation from Marathi audience to all those comedy characters played by me in different films, but, in this comedy film The film makers have introduced me ‘in and as’ which is a big honour for me. In this film I also have a different look and my physical training to prepare myself for this character will begin soon.”
Through this film Ganesh-Suresh will be making their debut in direction and they are presently busy with pre production work of this film and very soon, they will begin shooting of this film. The nams of other artistes will be announced by them shortly. They propose to release this film next year i.e. in 2020.
Marathi Play ‘Daha By Daha’ reaches Golden Jubilee mark
Family related subjects have always invited the attention of Marathi drama lovers. One such subject presented through recently launched Marathi Play ‘Daha By Daha’ produced by Sachin Narkar, Vikas Pawarand Aakash Pendharkar has also received overwhelming response from the Marathi theatre audience . In a very short time this play will perform the Golden Jubilee show, which certainly needs appreciation.
‘Daha By Daha’ presents the story of Ghadigaonkar family living a simple traditional lifestyle. But, how this family breaks this traditional comfort zone to attempt something different is the focus of this play. And it is for this reason the play has successfully marched to Golden Jubilee show shortly with the positive response from the audience.
This play stars Vijay Patkar, Prathamesh Parab, Supriya Pathare, Vidisha Mhaskar, Gaurav Malankar and Amir Tadwalkar. Sanjay Jamkhandi and Vaibhav Sanap are the writers while Aniket Patil has directed this play. Music by Ashutosh Waghmare, Light effects by Vijay Gole , production design by Sandesh Bendre, make up by Hitesh Pawar and dress design by Rashmi Sawant are the other credits.
