‘Tu Parat Ye’ song released to boost the morale of people

The spread of corona virus has forced the Government to extend the lockdown period in Maharashtra. Our Marathi artistes who are also required to remain at home, are coming out with their ideas to entertain the people of Maharashtra observing all lockdown rules. Recently, 10 Marathi artistes became part of the song ‘Tu Parat Ye’ written and composed by S. Sagar and directed by Swaroop Balasaheb Sawant.

This song video released now is produced by Sachin Dubale Patil and has been shot on the following 10 artistes, namely Prathamesh Parab, Pranav Raorane, Akshay Tanksale, Nikhil Vairagar, Vijay Andalkar, Nikhil Raut, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Siddheshvar Zadbuke, Jayesh Chavan and Swaroop Balasaheb Sawant. The purpose behind producing this video is to offer prayer to God for normalising the tense situation for a better tomorrow. It is an effort to boost the morale of people who are living in tense situation.

Prathamesh Parab in and as ‘Talli’

Producer Sanjay Gopalkar whose short film ‘Uttarand’ won many Indian and International awards is now making an entertaining Marathi film ‘Talli’ starring Prathamesh Parab, in lead and central role. The name of this film itself suggests that it will be comedy film, but the makers of the film suggest that besides family entertainment this commercial film will also offer a social message. According to the producer, he selected Prathamesh for this role because he felt that he would be able to give full justice to his character in this film.

Reacting on his role in this film, Prathamesh says, “Till now I have received good appreciation from Marathi audience to all those comedy characters played by me in different films, but, in this comedy film The film makers have introduced me ‘in and as’ which is a big honour for me. In this film I also have a different look and my physical training to prepare myself for this character will begin soon.”

Through this film Ganesh-Suresh will be making their debut in direction and they are presently busy with pre production work of this film and very soon, they will begin shooting of this film. The nams of other artistes will be announced by them shortly. They propose to release this film next year i.e. in 2020.

Marathi Play ‘Daha By Daha’ reaches Golden Jubilee mark

Family related subjects have always invited the attention of Marathi drama lovers. One such subject presented through recently launched Marathi Play ‘Daha By Daha’ produced by Sachin Narkar, Vikas Pawarand Aakash Pendharkar has also received overwhelming response from the Marathi theatre audience . In a very short time this play will perform the Golden Jubilee show, which certainly needs appreciation.

‘Daha By Daha’ presents the story of Ghadigaonkar family living a simple traditional lifestyle. But, how this family breaks this traditional comfort zone to attempt something different is the focus of this play. And it is for this reason the play has successfully marched to Golden Jubilee show shortly with the positive response from the audience.

This play stars Vijay Patkar, Prathamesh Parab, Supriya Pathare, Vidisha Mhaskar, Gaurav Malankar and Amir Tadwalkar. Sanjay Jamkhandi and Vaibhav Sanap are the writers while Aniket Patil has directed this play. Music by Ashutosh Waghmare, Light effects by Vijay Gole , production design by Sandesh Bendre, make up by Hitesh Pawar and dress design by Rashmi Sawant are the other credits.

Trailer of ‘Khichik’ raises lot of curiosity

While launching the trailers of their films, some film makers try to raise a lot of curiosity about their film’s subject to  their prospective  audience. And the makers of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Khichik’ are exactly doing the same. Recently, when the trailer of this film  was launched it has really made one and all talk, ‘What  is Khichik?’ But, one thing is clear that this film is based on an invention, which has many aspects. In short, there is a mystery.

Produced by Sachin Anil Dhakate under the banner of Kantanand Productions and written and directed by Pritam SK Patil , this film is due for release on 20th Septamber all over Maharashtra.The film stars Siddhrth Jadhav, Prathamesh Parab, Paula McGlean, Bollywood actor Sudesh Berry( who is making his debut in Marathi through this film), Anil Dhakate, Shilpa Thakre, Rasika Chavan, & child artiste Yash Khond.

Siddharth Jadhav and Prathamesh Parab are two popular artistes from Marathi film industry. They have established their own identity as comedians and therefore have huge fan following. Both of them have played lead heroes in Marathi through variety of roles. Now, both of them will be seen together in forthcoming Marathi film ‘khichik’, the colourful poster of which was launched on social media recently. Both Siddharth and Prathamesh appear on this colourful poster on two sides with two little children seen between them and therefore it raised a lot of curiosity among their fans about this film, which has a unique title.

“Takatak has given me new identity” – says Prathamesh Parab

Some artistes become popular with the name of important character played by them in the film. After the release of the film ‘Balak Palak’Prathamesh Parab was identified with his character name of Vishu in this film. Later, when he did the film ‘Timepass’ he received the identity of Dagadu , the lead character played by him in this film. But now, after the release of his latest film ‘Takatak’, he has received his new identity as ‘Thokya’, which is an important character in this film, though it is not the lead role.

This clearly indicates that Prathamesh has played this character in such a way that wherever he has gone after the release of this film, he has been called with the name ‘Thokya’. Speaking about this new identity, Prathamesh says, “Whether it is Vishu, Dagadu or Thokya, the credit for these roles go to writers and directors of these three films. All the youngsters feel that they should have a friend like ‘Thokya’ played by me in this film. And this is a good compliment for this character. Actually, Thokya is the real hero of this film, but he has not behaved like a hero through this character and that is the reason behind this character’s popularity.”

‘Takatak’ crosses Rs. 3 Cr. collections in 3 days

Now days, Marathi films are known for setting new trends . Till now, we had seen films with pure comedy, biopics & true stories receiving good response from the audience. As per the source,  writer- director Milind Zumbar Kavde‘s latest film ‘Takatak’ also setting a new record by crossing Rs. 3 Crore collection in first three days . The so called first ever sex comedy in Marathi seems to have received a good response in Maharashtra from the audience including youngsters.

According to the makers, the highlight of this film is its content which has a lot of mischief and fun, well suited to the youth. Also the chemistry between the lead pair of Prathamesh Parab and Ritika Shrotri has been liked by the audience.The new pair of Abhijeet Aamkar and Pranali Bhalerao has also impressed the with their performances. Supporting actors like Bharat Ganeshpure, Pradeep Patwardhan and Ananda Karekar have also rendered good performances in the film which has helped this film to attain new heights.

Sameer Dixit and Hrishikesh Bhirangi of Pickle Entertainment and Purple Bull Entertainment who handled the task of distribution of the film, successfully managed to get over 450 screens with over 6000 shows. Distributor Sameer Dixit says, “Like in Hindi Cinema where different territories are sold, for the first time in Marathi Cinema, the territory of Nizam (Marathawada) has been sold for ‘Takatak’ even before the release of the film.”
