Teaser of Marathi film ‘Baba’ released
Ever since the announcement was made that Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt will be presenting a Marathi film ‘Baba’ which is dedicated to his late father and legendary actor Sunil Dutt, there has been a lot of curiosity about this film’s subject. The film’s poster could not give much hint. But now, with the release of the teaser of this film, it clearly suggests that it is a story of a father and his little son with speech problem. Set on the backdrop of rural area, the film is likely to present father’s struggle to give proper education to his son.
Produced under the banner of Sanjay Dutt productions with Ashok and Aarti Subhedar of Blue Mustang Creations , the film will be released on 2nd august 2019. With this film Bollywood actor Deepak Dobriyal will be making his acting debut in Marathi and his co star in this film will be Nandita Patkar. The lead pair is supported by Spruha Joshi, Abhijit Khandkekar, Chittaranjan Giri, Jaywant wadkar and child artiste Aaryan Menghji. The film is directed by Raj R Gupta, who strongly believes that ‘emotions have no language. “It is a bittersweet tale of how a family pursues happiness over everything.” he says.
Sanjay Dutt’s first Marathi production ‘Baba’ to release on 2nd August
After Amitabh Bachchan, Akhay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Riteish Deshmuk and Priyanka Chopra, now it is the turn of actor Sanjay Dutt to turn producer of Marathi film. Sanjay is producing this Marathi film ‘Baba’ along with his wife Manyata under the banner of Sanjay Dutt Productions and with co producers Ashok and Aarti Subhedar. The first poster of this film was released recently and the film will be released all over Maharashtra on 2nd August 2019.
‘Baba’ stars NSD actor Deepak Dobriyal ( ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ fame) in the lead role along with renowned Marathi film actress Nandita Dhuri Patkkar as female lead. The other artistes of this film are, Spruha Joshi, Abhijeet Khandkekar, Chitaranjan Giri, Jaywant Wadkar and popular child star Aryan Menghji. The film is directed by Rajan R Gupta, who was earlier Asst. Director for Madhuri Dixit’s Marathi film ‘Bucket List’. Set on the backdrop of picturesque Konkan, it is the story of a father and his son. Sanjay Dutt has dedicated this film in memory of his late beloved father Sunil Dutt.
