Is Saurabh Gokhale turning the new angry young man of Marathi cinema ?
Having proved his mettle on Marathi stage and television, during the past few years, Saurabh Gokhale has now established himself in Marathi cinema. We saw his angry young man image in award winning film ‘Partu‘. Earlier, he had played a Police officer in the film ‘Yoddha‘. And now, he plays an important role of Subodh Bhave’s brother in the new film ‘Bho Bho‘ which is released recently.
Saurabh plays a real angry young man in the film ‘Bho Bho‘ and has enough scope to once again make his presence felt, in this suspense filled thriller. With this performance, he has indicated that he can be considered as the new angry young man of Marathi cinema. In this film, Saurabh’s wife Anuja is playing his sister in law and there are few scenes, where there are heated arguments between the two. After ‘Bho Bho‘ Saurabh’s next film will be ‘Page 4′ and there is one more film in the pipeline. He is also doing a Marathi play, to keep himself active on Marathi stage. But, don’t think, he will return to television, unless there is a role, most suited to him.
