Lokshahir Patthe Bapurao , was a celebrated the folk form of Tamasha and led its golden age with pride. The people of Maharashtra can never forget his immense contribution.
Adhering to the principle, “I don’t want to see today’s money tomorrow. I won’t sing today’s Lavani tomorrow” Shahir Patthe Bapurao gave a new twist to the art form of Tamasha with his poetry and pioneering voice. He has written more than 2 lakh Lavanis in his lifetime.
The musical success story of Shahir, who is considered as the university of Lavani, will now be brought to the silver screen. Milind K. Sakpal has taken up the mantle of directing this film. The film is produced by Kantilal Bhosle, Nilesh Babanrao Deshmukh and Rohan A. Godambe under the banners of The Morning Star Film Company and Acoemeti Productions.
Based on Prof. Chandrakumar Nalge’s books ‘Maharasthrache Shilpakar Patthe Bapurao’ and ‘Patthe Bapuravanchya Shodhat’, the story and screenplay of the film is by Rahul Dorle. The lyrics will be composed by lyricist Guru Thakur. Cinematography by Keiko Nakahara. The technical crew also includes production designer Santosh Phutane and makeup and hair designer Vikram Gaikwad. costume designer Sachin Lovalekar and sound designer Mandar Kamalapurkar. Bhaskar Pawaskar will be the supervising producer.
