Artistes of ‘Fatteshikast’ build replicas of Fort
The festival of Diwali is known for celebrating happiness . But, there are also some rituals connected with this festival over the years. During this festival, there has been an old tradition of building replicas of famous forts, in which people of all age groups take part with a lot of enthusiasm .
Keeping this tradition alive, artistes of the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Fatteshikast’ also got together into this traditional practice. Director Digpal Lanjekar along with artistes Astad kale, Ajay Purkar, harish Dudhade, Vikram Gaikwad, Prasad Limaye, Akshay Waghmare, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Trupti Toradmal, Ruchi Savarna and Nakshatra Medhekar took part in this collective mission of building the replica of a fort . And this goes very well with the theme of this film.
Through this mission their only aim was to keep the old tradition alive. Presented by Almonds Creation with the support of A.A. Films, ‘Fatehshikast’ will be released all over Maharashtra on 15th November 2019.

Trupti Toradmal to make her acting debut in Marathi films
Daughter of renowned Marathi writer- actor Late Madhukar Toradmal, Trupti Toradmal will be making her acting debut in Marathi films through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Savita Damodar Paranjpe‘. Based on a true story this film is a cinematic version of popular Marathi play ‘Savita Damodar Paranjape‘. The film is produced by popular Bollywood actor John Abraham and is directed by Swapna Waghmare Joshi.
The lead role in this film played by Trupti was earlier played by Late actress Reema Lagoo in the play with the same name. Trupti has worked very hard to modulate her voice according to different situations in the screenplay, to play this important role. Having been experienced with theatre, this role was a big challenge before Trupti and the makers of this film feel that she has given her best. Trupti herself is very much satisfied with her role.

John Abraham to present cinematic version of a popular Marathi play
Presenting cinematic versions of popular Marathi plays is not new to Marathi film industry. ‘Ghashiram Kotwal‘, ‘Katyar Kaljat Ghusali‘ and ‘Natasamrat‘ are the best examples. Now, Bollywood actor John Abraham, who is a great lover of Marathi theatre and films, is producing a Marathi film, which is the cinematic version of popular Marathi play of 80’s ‘Savita Damodar Paranjape‘. This Marathi play with mind blowing script received overwhelming response from the audience when it was launched in 1985.
Directed by Shekhar Tamhane this gripping play had Reema Lagu and Rajan Tamhane in the lead. John wanted the new generation to watch this interesting subject and hence decided to give a cinematic form to this play, retaining the title. The film will be directed by Swapna Waghmare Joshi and will present popular Marathi actor Subodh Bhave along with Trupti Toradmal & Rakesh Bapat in lead roles. John has decided to release this film on 31st August all over Maharashtra.
