Well known Marathi actress had almost taken a break for a while from acting in films and serials. But, she remained active presenting a cookery show. Now, we understand that her film and drama will be released soon. In the meanwhile, we are watching her in two popular advertisements on small screen, which are repeatedly played, during the break of popular TV serials during prime time.
Even otherwise, our Marathi artistes are seen in many TV ads. Prominent among them is Nikhil Ratnaparkhi. Now days, we notice Sachit Patil, Pankaj Vishnu, Aishwarya Narkar also part of some popular ads. One way, it is a good way of for artistes to remain in limelight, as audience to tend to forget a particular artiste, if the artiste doesn’t have much work in films and serials. Some prefer to be part of Marathi dramas; but, playing a model for popular brands, is always a good option. You always remain in the limelight.
Last week International Yoga day was celebrated throughout the world. And, our Marathi TV serials were nowhere behind. Most of them tried to propagate the importance of Yoga among the audience. And, that was a very fine gesture.
Last week Star Pravah began a new serial ‘Yek Number’ on the backdrop of an Engineering college. This serial was is in news prior to its telecast, because of the small screen debut of Chirag Patil, son of former test Cricketer Sandeep Patil. Chirag is not new to acting, as he has been part of one Hindi and one Marathi film, before making his television debut. But, in presence of his talented co star Madhuri Desai , he hasn’t been much impressive, through his body language and dialogue delivery. Though, he has a very good personality, he needs to brush up his acting skills, if has to remain in the race.
Another Star Pravah serial ‘Runji’ seems to be moving off the track, with unwanted and unconvincing happenings noticed in past few episodes. So, it will be difficult for talented Pallavi Patil to carry forward this show, only at her own strength. One more serial ‘Kamala’ on Colors channel, which had generated a lot of interest in the initial stage, also seems to be moving off the track, with not much interest generated, through its ongoing screenplay.
Finally, when we talk about ‘Honar Sun Mee Hya Gharchi’ on Zee Marathi, it is felt that it is enough of Shree-Janhavi drama. Both are losing their popularity. Even Mothi Aai looks tired now, through her body language, repeating the same dialogues again and again.

When Madhav returns, after hearing about Appa suffering a shock, after Vakratunda’s inability to learn maths, he takes over to teach Vakratunda, in his own style , allowing him to attend to his hobby of art and craft, making beautiful clay idols. The film is all about facing the challenges in life, with the help of Mathematics. Be it Appa’s ideology, Madhav’s wish to attempt a Greek recipe, to be eligible for job, Gaja Kaka’s way of making his father happy or Vakratunda’s way of learning maths through his hobby of idol making, they are all based on the principles of Mathematics. And, to a great extent, the director has succeeded in proving his point of view, through cinematic presentation of this small and simple story.
She has taken over from Madhura Deshpande, who was earlier anchoring the show ‘Comedy Chi Bullet Train’. With the arrival of Tejaswini Pandit, the show has gained more popularity, as she is very impressive through this show. Her arrival has brought a special flavor to this comedy show. With the presence of Makarand Anaspure and Renuka Shahane as encouraging judges, the show only boosts the confidence of the participating teams, to perform better and better.
