‘Classmates’ fame Pallavi Patil makes her debut in digital world
Pallavi Patil who came from Jalgaon to begin her acting career in Mumbai, made her acting debut through hit Marathi film ‘Classmates’. Later, she did not look back and went on to make her presence felt through variety of roles in films like ‘Shentimental’, ‘Savita Damodar Paranjape’, ‘Boyz 2′, ‘Tu Tithe Asave’ and ‘702 Dixits’. She also performed in popular Hindi series ’24’ with Anil Kapoor and others.
Now, Pallavi is all set to make her debut through a web series on Digital network. This series titled ‘Gondya Aala Re’, will be aired from 15th August 2019. We are all aware that the during the freedom struggle the most cruel Officer W.C. Rand was responsible for killing the brave freedom fighters Chaphekar Brothers. Based on this episode is the series ‘Gondya aala re’ and in this series Pallavi Patil is playing the important role of Damodar Chaphekar’s wife Durgabai Chaphekar.
Speaking about her digital debut, Pallavi says, “After working in feature films I was looking forward to work in a web series and an opportunity came to me, when Ankur Kakatkar offered me the role of Durgabai. After studying this role, I found it to be very strong character. Therefore, I feel happy that my debut in digital world, comes through this role.”
Recently, Pallavi posted her look in this web series on social media along with the real photo of Durgabai Chaphekar . There is one more photo in a nine yard saree has also been posted by her. Therefore, speaking particularly about her role Pallavi says, “Through this series, viewers will get an opportunity to see two sides of Durgabai Chaphekar . The first during the presence of her husband with her silent support to him in the freedom struggle and the other when after his death, she takes some important crucial decisions.”
Watching her rising popularity, her admirers are keen to watch her in this historical role.

Renuka Shahane to play lead role in shotfilm ‘Silent Ties’
In the past, Sai Deodhar was recognised as late cinematographer Debu Deodhar & renowned film maker Shrabani Deodhar‘s daughter. But, today she has made her own identitity both in the television and film industry. Having performed lead roles in many television serials, recently, we saw her lead role in ‘Mogara Phulala’ film. However, beyond this, Sai has also made her presence felt as a director through Zee 5 short film ‘Date’.
Even otherwise, not believing to remain idle, Sai has always been trying something new through her new plans, when she completes her project in hand . Now, her second directorial venture shotfilm ‘Silent Ties’is also on the way . Recently, Sai posted a photograph on social media along with actress Renuka Shanae and her mother. Clearly indicating this project as her second film as director. With Renuka Shahane being part of this short film in the lead role, this film has certainly raised the curiosity among the people.
Produced by Palash Dutta, through this film Sai has tried to present a new but delicate subject which should spread awareness among people about the problems of LGBT . This is a family subject based on brother and sister relationship and Renuka is playing the lead role of sister. The ongoing moth also coincides with the festival of ‘Rakshabandhan’ and therefore the timing for releasing this film is also perfect. Moreover, watching Renuka Shahane‘s performance in this film will also be a pleasure to her fans and admirers.
It may be recalled that Renuka who shot into fame with television’s popular programme ‘Surabhi’ along with Siddharth Kak , later found many roles in Hindi and Marathi films, after playing that most important role of Salman Khan’s Bhabhi in super hit Film ‘Hum Aap Ke hain Koun’. Thereafter, she also made her debut as a director through Marathi film ‘Rita’ starring her close friend Pallavi Joshi in lead role. Now, her role in Sai Deodhar‘s film will surely be something different .

Fancy cars, helicopters , action sequences and above all the shooting in London are the highlights of forthcoming Big Budget film ‘Ye Re Ye Re Paisa 2′ . But, is this all enough for the success of Marathi film? Well, the answer depends on good story and gripping screenplay. However, the makers of ‘Ye Re Ye Re Paisa 2′ are banking on the big star cast of this film and entertainment with action, which is also equally important to make the film super hit. Vaibhav Mangle to play Judge of ‘Yuva Singer Ek Number’
Reality shows on Singing has always invited attention on Marathi television. Now, the promo of new reality show for young singers suitably titled Yuva Singer Ek Number’ on Zee Yuva channel is all set to begin from 7th August 2019. And to judge this programme the hosts have appointed Vaibhav Mangle , who is himself a singer with a lot of knowledge of classical music. So, this time the home viewers will get to know the other talent of Vaibhav Mangle, who is recognised for his comedy roles.

Deepak Dobriyal is high praise for his debut Marathi film ‘Baba’
Deepak Dobriyal who makes his debut in Sanjay Dutt’s forthcoming Marathi film ‘Baba’ seems to have been very much touched by the story of this film and his own role. Speaking about his role, he said, “The character I play in ‘Baba’ has brought a lot of change in me. It made me aware of my social responsibilities. I Keep aside all my roles played so far and only think of my role in ‘Baba’. For the past 12 years of my career, what satisfaction I couldn’t get, I received while playing this role.”
Then speaking about his experience while working in Marathi he said, “I received so much of love affection that I didn’t even realise that I was working for a Marathi film. I am really happy that I got an opportunity to work in this Marathi film industry, which really cares for performances. Even otherwise, after watching a Marathi film, you understand its uniqueness. Lastly, I would say that this film has given me rebirth.” Directed by Raj R Gupta this film is all set for release on 2nd August 2019
Mahesh Manjrekar & Amey Khopkar unite for ‘De Dhakka 2′
11 years ago ‘De Dhakka’ an entertaining Marathi film made a very good business of 10 Crore. Now, the sequel of this film ‘De Dhakka 2′ has united renowned director Mahesh Manjrekar and Producer turned distributor Amey Khopkar . They propose to release this film next year on 3rd January 2020. The poster of ‘De Dhakka 2′ was released on social media recently, and it indicates that the story of this film has some connection with London.
Produced by Yatin jadhav and Swati Khopkar, the film will be presented by Amey Vinod Khopkar Entertainment and Skylink Entertainment. The film will be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar & Sudhesh Manjrekar. From among the star cast of the original film, the main artistes Makarand anaspure, Shivaji satam, Medha Manjrekar & Siddharth jadhav will be seen in this sequel. However, the names of the others in the star cast have not been disclosed.
This sequel movie is scheduled for release in next year 2019, Looking forward to watch first part’s magic on box office.
Savaniee Ravindra celebrates her birthday with Special children
Some celebrities are known for celebrating their birthdays for social cause. Popular Singer Savaniee Ravindra is also one of them. Every year on her birthday, she does something special which is useful to others. This year on 22nd July, her birthday in the company of special children at Sulbha Special School. It may be recalled that four years ago, Savaniee celebrated her birthday with the children suffering from Cancer in Mumbai.
Speaking about her unique way of celebrating birthday, Savaniee says, “I never believed in celebrating my birthdays by throwing away parties and accepting gifts. I always felt that on my birthday, I should bring smile on someone who really deserves a gift. And when I made a beginning, I continued with this practice till now. It really makes me happy too.” Then narrating her experience of being with such children, she added, “Actually, I had come to meet these children to give them a surprise. Instead, they only surprised me, by singing songs and performing dances to welcome me. And, this turned out to be the best offering to me, to energise me till next birthday.”
