‘Vajale Ki Bara’ will be remake of ‘The Play that goes wrong’
‘The Play that goes wrong’ received immense popularity in London and America at West End and Broadway . Now, a remake of this play in Marathi is being presented by Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi , who will be making his debut as a presenter in Marathi through this play. Directed by kedar Shinde, the announcement of this play was made on the occasion of Maharashtra day, by seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha at Siddhivinayak temple, Mumbai.
This play was presented by the duo Sharman and kedar in Gujarathi and English language in India and it received good response. Having directed many hit plays in the past, Kedar Shinde will be returning to Marathi stage after a gap of three and half years. Now, all eyes on ‘Vajale Ki Bara’, to see how this remake has been presented to invite the attention of Marathi drama lovers. One thing is sure that Marathi dramas have a larger audience.
Anna Hazare all praise for ‘Ek Hota Pani’ writer Ashish Ningurkar
We are already aware of social worker Anna Hazare’s fight against injustice to common man. At the same time, we are also aware of his efforts to eradicate poverty and water conservation in drought areas of Maharashtra. Keeping this in mind, writer of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Ek Hota Pani’ met Anna Hazare personally, to brief him about the subject of his film, based on water, which is so precious today.
Speaking on this occasion, Anna Hazare praised the efforts of the writer Ashish Ningurkar for selecting this subject and wished him all the best. “Time has come, when there will be a big war over water. If there is sufficient water, the village, district, state and country can prosper. It is unfortunate, in spite of having educated ministers and administrators in our state, still we are unable to have sufficient storage of water, to cater to the daily needs of lakhs of people. At my place Ralegansiddhi, you will find no shortage of water, as we have all worked hard towards water conservation. When other villages around are dependent on water tankers, we are able to supply water to nearby villages,” he said .
Therefore the subject of ‘Ek Hota Pani’ has invited the attention of all sensible film lovers. Directed by Rohan Satghare, the film stars national award winning actor hansraj Jagtap along with Upendra Date, Anant Jog, Jairaj Nair, Child artiste Chaitra Bhujbal, Ganesh Mayekar, Deepjyoti Naik, Ranjit Jog, Sriya Mastakar, Ranjit Kamble, Trisha Patil, Shital Kolhapure, Shital Shingare, Anand Wagh, Nana Shinde,Ashish Ningurkar, Dr.Raju Patodkar , Radhakrishna Karale, Varsha Patankar, Anuradha Bhavsar, Kanchan Donde & Sandeep Patil. The film is all set for release on 10th May 2019.
‘Baalaa’ gets ready for release on 3rd May

To fulfil his ambition, Bala runs away from his house and his Police Inspector father who is opposed to his son’s ‘love for cricket’ is unable to trace him. Whether Bala is able to fulfil his dream, the audience will have to watch this film. The film ‘Baalaa‘ presents newcomer Mihiresh Joshi in the lead role along with versatile artistes like Upendra Limaye, Kranti Redkar, Vikram Gokhale, Suhasini Mulye & Kamlesh Sawant in lead roles along with Yashwardhan-Rajwardhan, Ashish Gokhale, Jyoti Tayade, Apeksha Deshmukh & Hiya Singh in supporting roles. Former India Cricketer and captain of Indian Cricket team Late Ajit Wadekar will be seen as a cricket coach in this film. The film has music by Mahesh-Rakesh and cinematography by R.R. Prince. Ravi Jadhav returns with ‘Rampaat’ on 17th May
Writer- director Ravi Jadhav whose last film as a director was ‘Banjo’ released in 2016. Now, he returns as a director with his next Marathi film ‘Rampaat’ which is all set to release on 17th May all over Maharashtra. The film presents the journey of Mithun and Munni who like many other youngsters travel from different villages of Maharashtra to Mumbai to fulfil their dreams. We all know that not all of them succeed in their mission, unless they work very hard and find the right advice at right time.
Produced by Meghana Jadhav and Zee Studios , this film stars Abhinay Berde and Kashmira Pardeshi in lead roles. The other important artistes of this film are, Priya Berde, Abhijit Chavan & Kushal Badrike. The film also presents Vaibhav Mangle, Anand Ingale, Chandrakant Kulkarni, Ankush Choudhari & Amruta Khanvilkar in guest appearance. Amber Hadap, Ganesh Pandit & Ravi jadhav have written the story, screenplay and dialogues of this film while Abhijeet Dehpande has done the editing. Sandeep Pathak finds a good role in ‘Mogra Phulaalaa’
Sandeep Pathak is known for some of his memorable roles in television serials and films. No matter the size of his roles, he has always made his presence felt through a variety of characters he has portrayed so far. Sandeep will now be seen in the role of a buddy of Swapnil Joshi, the lead star of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Mogra Phulaalaa‘, which is directed by Shrabani Deodhar. The film is now set for release all over Maharashtra on 14th June 2019.
Recently the poster of this film was released with a perfect tagline on friendship, which reads, “Sopa Kaam Awghad Karnare Mitra Kathin Astat” (Friends make simple things complicated to handle). Speaking about his character Sandeep says, “I always desired to have a role in the strong story. I like films that have important roles in every character. My dream to act with experienced actors, talented director and to make my own bit for a quality production was all fulfilled while working in ‘Mogra Phulaalaa’. Pratiksha Mungekar to star opposite Amol Kagne in the film ‘Babo’
Pratiksha Mungekar who plays a negative character of Kiyara in the popular ongoing TV serial ‘Ghadge & Suun‘ will now be seen in the lead role opposite Amol Kagne in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Babo’ directed by Ramesh Baburao Choudhari. While Pratiksha has already done two films ‘Vida Ek Sangharsh‘ and ‘Matang‘, Amol has been the presenter of sensible Marathi films like ‘Halaal‘,’Lathe Joshi‘ and ‘Perfume‘.
A student of Lalit Kala Kendra, Pune, Amol has performed in 26 plays. In this film ‘Babo‘ Pratiksha plays a character of a fun-loving but sensible young girl from a rich family, while Amol belongs to a middle-class family. The film presents their love story which has opposition from family members. Presented by Malhar Film Creations, this film is expected to offer a youthful story in a humorous way.
Sai appeals for Voluntary contribution of labour on World Earth Day
We are already aware of the contribution of actress Sai Tamhankar for social cause. She has been very active with ‘Pani Foundation’ to create awareness about water conservation by finding time for the same. Recently, Sai posted a video on social media to make an appeal to them to come forward for voluntary contribution of labour on the occasion of World Earth day. Sai herself will be involved with this activity on 1st May 2019.
It may be recalled that for the past five years Sai has been actively involved with Pani Foundation programmes. Besides voluntarily contributing labour on this day every year, she has also been attending their other awareness programmes regularly. Speaking about her involvement in this activity, Sai says, “It is really sad to find the animals struggling to search water and at the same time it is more disturbing to find the women walking long distance to fetch water for their little children in drought affected areas. From my side I will be doing a bit through voluntary contribution of labour and I expect you all to join this movement.”
‘Purushottam’ will be presentation from Wife and daughters of Amrapurkar
Sadashiv Amrapurkar was a renowned actor from Bollywood and Marathi film industry. After his sad demise few years ago, his younger daughter Reema had been active with film making. But now, the other two members of his family have also got involved into Marathi film industry. His wife Sunanda Amrapurkar will now be presenting a Marathi film ‘Purushottam’ which will be released a day before the birth anniversary of Late Sadashiv Amrapurkar‘s birth anniversary ,i.e. on 10th May all over Maharashtra.
