Marathi stars pay tributes to their fathers

All fathers play a very important role during the growing age of their children. And the parents of our Marathi stars are no exception. Today, we find many Marathi stars who have really come through hardships. Not all of them were encouraged to take up this profession, yet they have high regards for their fathers , especially for providing them all the basic necessities during their school and college days.

On the occasion of Father’s day, let us find out what some of our Marathi stars have to say about their father.  TV and Film star Lalit Prabhakar feels that his father is the priceless gift to him. “When my father first came to Mumbai from a remote village in search of a job, he had no money.  Those days he used to sleep on railway platform. But, soon he found a job and there was stability in his life. He even educated my mother and saw to it that she even got a job. Having come through hardships he has always advised me not to get carried away after achieving success , but to hold the feet on the ground. Now, I feel that he should relax and enjoy his hobbies.”  says Lalit.

Popular stage and television Actress Mayuri Deshmukkh calls her father a Magician. Describing her father in a poetic way, she says,”Father means a hard working soul. Father means a person with a caring mind and father is one such person who is known for self sacrifice, when it comes to giving the best to his children.” Mayuri feels that these three lines are not meant  only for her father but all the fathers in this world. And there cannot be a better tribute on this occasion.

Tejaswini Pandit celebrated Father’s day in a different way. She visited the Home for aged near Mumbai and spent time with the elderly people. “My father also used to visit ‘Home for aged’ and gift some of his belongings to them. My father is no more , therefore I would like to revive his old memories by spreading happiness among such elderly people. Believe me, they too are mischievous like little children.” she says.

Finally, we have one such father Mr. Charudutt Deochakke ( Father of actor Madhav Deochakke) who is proud to have a self sufficient hard working son, who has achieved something in his life, that really makes him happy.
