Colors Marathi offers twin attractions from 27th June
In an attempt to deviate from the traditional subjects on Marathi television, Colors Marathi channel have twin offers for their audience during the prime time from 26th June 2016. At 9 pm, they will be offering much publicized ‘Tujhyavachun Karmena’, a so called comedy with a difference, which will also host the marriage of Yash & Manu from another Colors popular serial ‘Asa Saasar Surekh Baai‘. And, that’s a big attraction.
Maharashtra being a land of famous saints, Colors Marathi will also begin their other serial ‘Awaaz’, beginning with the story of ‘Sant Dnyaneshwar’, to start with. For little school children, it will be an interesting watch to understand the teachings of the saints. Popular talented actor Saurabh Gokhale will be playing the lead role in the initial episodes of this serial. And, this is a big news for Marathi TV viewers.
Sonal Productions announce ‘Goshta Tashi Gamtichi Part-2′
Sequels of feature films is very common these days. But, we haven’t heard of sequel being made of a drama. After achieving great success for their Marathi drama ‘Goshta Tashi Gamtichi‘, Sonal Productions will now be presenting its sequel ‘Goshta Tashi Gamtichi-Part -2‘ . The announcement to this effect was made during the felicitation function held by the production, to greet all the artistes and back stage technical experts recently.
‘Goshta tashi Gamtichi‘ starring Mangesh Kadam, Shashank Ketkar & Leena Bhagwat, has performed 311 shows including some shows abroad, which were all houseful. In December 2015, Sonal Productions launched two new plays ‘Perfect Mismatch‘ followed by ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy‘ , which also attained instant popularity , winning various popular awards. The programme was anchored by Leena Bhagwat, while Mangesh Kadam spoke about his association with Sonal productions, right from the days, when they launched their first show in April 2013 , an orchestra ‘Akhiyon Ke Jharokonse‘ performed by the blind artistes.
Besides all the artistes of these three dramas, many other popular artistes were also present for this felicitation function, which was held at Suryavanshi Sabhagriha, Dadar, recently.
After ‘Time Please’ & ‘Double Seat’ now Sameer –kshitij are getting ready to release ‘YZ’
After successfully presenting good subjects on stage, the popular pair of Sameer Vidwans and Kshitij Patwardhan also did well to present two super hit Marathi films like ‘Time Please‘ and ‘Double Seat‘. And now, they are getting ready to release their next Marathi film with the name ‘YZ‘, a term generally used to call someone stupid or unwise. But, according to the makers of this film, this film will change its meaning after it is watched by audience from all age groups.
Recently, the first poster of this film was unveiled at the Siddhi Vinayak temple, Mumbai. So, it has become clear that the film stars Akshay Tanksale & Sagar Deshmukh . And, it has become clear that the film will be a comedy, to entertain the traditional Marathi audience. And therefore, it has raised the expectations of the audience. But, the names of other artistes will be disclosed shortly. The film is produced by Sanjay Chhabriya’s Everest Entertainment and Anish Jog’s Pratisaad Entertainment.

Kishore Kadam has two simultaneous releases
Many a times a particular actor finds two of his films releasing on the same day. Now, its the turn of versatile actor Kishore Kadam. Kishore has two simultaneous releases on 24th June 2016. Kishore is playing the lead role opposite Smita Tambe in the film ‘Ganvesh‘, while he has a prominent role in another film ‘Damlelya Babachi Kahani‘ .And, both these films are releasing on the same day. Incidentally, both the films are based on a social issue. Even otherwise, the presence of Kishore in a particular film, gives guarantee that the film has a very good subject.

Sanskruti Balgude is yet to come out of her character in ‘Damlelya Babachi Kahani’
Many times a particular artiste gets so much involved with his or her character, that it takes a long time for that artiste, to come out of that character. This has happened with popular Marathi film and TV actress Sanskruti Balgude. It may be recalled that few years ago, when Sanskruti Balgude performed in popular serial ‘Pinjara‘ . It was very difficult for Sanskruti to come out of the character of Anandi , as even after the show was over, she was recognized as Anandi.
Sanskruti hasn’t had much success with few films she did later. But, her dancing skills are known to all, when she performs at most of the popular award events. Now, her next Marathi film ‘Damlelya Babachi Kahani‘ is all set to release on 24th June and Sanskruti is eagerly waiting for this film’s release. Recently, when we met her, we did talk about her role in this film. And, the talented actress said that she was yet to come out of the character played by her in this film, though the shooting of the film got over long back. “It’s such an emotion filled role,” she said. By the way, her film ‘Bhay‘ is also due for release. There are three more films, she is doing and they are ‘Nivadung‘ and Mahesh Manjrekar’s ‘Friends Unlimited’. But, she doesn’t want say much about her third film right now.
Kanchan Adhikari’s film ‘Kiran Kulkarni v/s Kiran Kulkarni’ focuses on Cyber crime
Known for handling variety of subjects like social themes, suspense and comedy through her previous Marathi films, film maker Kanchan Adhikari is all set to offer her new film ‘Kiran Kulkarni v/s Kiran Kulkarni‘ focusing on a timely issue of cyber crime. Directed by her, this film will release all over Maharashtra on 24th June 2016.
According to the maker, this will be a crime-comedy film, which revolves around the lead female character of this film, who keeps on cheating the lead hero of this film, with the help of a credit card. Director Kanchan Adhikari has herself expanded the story of ‘Kiran Kulkarni v/s Kiran Kulkarni‘ film, which is written by Ashish Pathre. Vaishali Samant has shouldered the responsibility of music of this film, while Nitin Hivarkar has provided background music. Suresh Deshmane is the cinematographer of this film. Produced by Kanchan Adhikari & Om Gehlot, the film stars Subodh Bhave and Kranti Redkar in the lead roles, in the company of other important artistes like Mohan Joshi, Avinash Darvhekar, Priya Marathe, Namrata Awate, Madhavi Gogate, Dhananjay Manjrekar, Amit Kalyankar & child artiste Urmika Godbole.
Musical entertainer ‘Chhand Priticha’ completes shooting
Musical entertainer love stories, which are set on the backdrop of new picturesque places in Maharashtra have been inviting attention of film lovers. Keeping this in mind, Premala Productions, Kolhapur recently completed their film, which is also based on this subject. Producer Chandrakant Jadhav, after completing shooting of his film, expressed satisfaction, for having shot ‘Chhand Priticha‘ film at some of the beautiful locations in Sangli district , adjacent to Krishna river. Some important scenes have also been shot at historical Badami, in Karnataka state.
N.Relekar who has directed ‘Chhand Priticha‘ film, has also written the story and lyrics of this film. Music is provided by Pravin Kunvar, while cinematography is by Jitendra Achrekar. Dances, which form the most important part of this film, the choreography is done by south choreographer Sujit Kumar along with Deepali Vichare. Santosh Phutane has done the art direction. The film stars Subodh Bhave, Harsh Kulkarni, Suvarna Kale, Sharad Ponkshe, Vikas Samudre, Suhasini Deshpande & Ganesh Yadav.
Team of ‘Damalelya Babachi Kahani’ promise a sensible subject
Nitin Chavan has been associated with Marathi stage for the past several years in Pune. Now, he has turned a film maker, with his forthcoming Marathi film ‘Damlelya Babachi Kahani‘ . He has not only produced this film along with Vishal Dhanavade, but has also directed it along with Yogesh Jadhav. On Monday evening, he unveiled the first look of his film along with the most important song of father and daughter emotional bonding, on which the film is based.
Apart from makers of this film, the lead important artistes of this film, Sandeep Khare, Sanskruti Balgude, Deepti Bhagwat, child artiste Shreya Pasalkar & Astaad Kale were also present. Nitin Chavan who has himself written the script of this film, explained as to how he was inspired to make this film, after watching the injustice on young girls in our country. “I have specifically presented the concern of the young girl’s father, who most of the time thinks about the safety of his daughter. At the same time, I have tried to present the feelings of the daughter for her father, who has formed an opinion about him, that her father is the World’s greatest father,” he added.
The first look and the song video, clearly suggest that the makers of this film and the lead artistes, especially Sandeep Khare, Sanskruti Balgude, Deepti Bhagwat and Aastaad Kale are likely to touch the hears of the Marathi audience, with their emotion filled characters in this film. They promise a sensible subject through their film. Being a family social film, ‘Damlelya Babachi Kahani‘ film has already invited the attention of critics at various international film festivals. The film is all set to release all over Maharashtra on 24th June 2016 .The makers of this film are also planning to host the shows of this film in USA next month. They have also planned to donate some amount from the profits, towards education of daughters of farmers, who have committed suicide.
After earning 85Cr. Now, ‘Sairat’ goes to South
After earning 85Cr. Till date, Marathi film ‘Sairat’ has turned out to be the biggest blockbuster in Marathi. With this success, ‘Sairat’ has also recorded highest grosser film in all languages in Maharashtra. And, this is a big news for Marathi cinema. Makers of ‘Sairat’ had another feather in their cap, when during the success party held on Saturday evening in Mumbai, Zee studios, the host, introduced well known South Indian film producer Mr. Venkatesh, who has agreed to make ‘Sairat’ in all the four south Indian languages. Beginning with telugu version , which is to be directed by Nagraj Manjule, Mr. Venkatesh was all praise for music directors Ajay Atul, for their wonderful music.
The south Indian versions of this film are to be jointly produced by Zee Studios, with Mr. Venkatesh. Zee Group, also made another good announcement on this occasion, about election of their chairman, Mr. Subhash Chandra to Rajya Sabha. Mr. Sachin Pilgaonkar, who was the guest of honour, was all praise for the film and expressed his happiness, over the achievements made by the film and greeted Mr. Nagraj Manjule . The lead pair of Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru were the main attraction at the function, as even the hotel staff, where the function was held, were busy clicking their photos.
