Riteish Deshmukh to make his debut on Marathi Television
After making his grand debut in Marathi films through ‘Lai Bhari‘ popular Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh is all set to make his debut on Marathi television in a big way. Riteish will play host of a new Quiz show ‘Vikta Ka Uttar‘ on Star Pravah . To participate in ‘Vikta Ka Uttar‘, first question will be on-air from 2nd July onwards.
Incidentally, his own production ‘Mauli‘, which is a sequel to ‘Lai Bhari‘ is progressing soon. In the coming month two of his films are also due for release. One of them is ‘Great Grand Masti‘ and the other being ‘Banjo‘ directed by Ravi Jadhav. In all, the second half of 2016, will prove to be lucky for Riteish Deshmukh. Even otherwise, with Riteish hosting the show, there will be high expectations from this show. By the way, Riteish himself is very much excited about his television show. With this show, Star Pravah will be competing with other Marathi channels, to raise their viewership, during prime time.

बालगंधर्व परिवाराच्या वतीने दरवर्षी बालगंधर्व रंगमंदिराचा वर्धापन दिन साजरा करण्यात येतो. वर्धापन दिनाचे अवचित्य साधून विविध कला क्षेत्रातील मान्यवरांना पुरस्कार देण्यात आले. तसेच या वर्षीचा जीवन गौरव पुरस्कार श्री. राघवेंद्र (आण्णा) कडकोळ यांना प्रदान करण्यात आला. हा पुरस्कार प्रदान करताना व्यासपिठावर माजी खासदार रणजित सिंह मोहिते पाटील, बालगंधर्व परिवाराचे अध्यक्ष मेघराज राजेभोसले, अभिनेत्री वर्षा उसगांवकर, अभिनेता सुशांत शेलार, अभिनेत्री संस्कृती बालगुडे, चंदुकाका सराफ अँड सन्स प्रा. लि. चे अतुल शहा, सुरेश देशमुख, स्थायी समितीचे अध्यक्ष बाळासाहेब बोडके, उल्हासदादा पवार व इतर मान्यवर उपस्थित होते.
पुरस्कार वितरण समारंभाच्या आधी नांदी व नाट्यसंगीत, तसेच तबला, पखवाज, सरोद यांची जुगलबंदी व बालगंधर्वांचे शिल्प साकारण्यात आले. त्यावेळी व्यासपिठावर महापौर प्रशांत जगताप व मेघराज राजेभोसले उपस्थित होते. पुरस्कार वितरण समारंभानंतर “रंग एकपात्रीचे” हा एकपात्री कलाकारांचा कार्यक्रम सादर करण्यात आला. त्यानंतर पुण्यातील कलाकारांनी कॉमेडी एक्सप्रेस पुणे फास्ट नावाचा कॉमेडी शो सादर केला. अभिनेते दिग्दर्शक महेश मांजरेकर आणि राहुल रानडे यांच्या रंगलेल्या दिलखुलास गप्पांमध्ये सिने – नाटयसृष्टीच्या समस्या, आव्हाने यावर देखील चर्चा करण्यात आली. यावेळी मेधा मांजरेकर देखील आवर्जून उपस्थित होत्या. सायंकाळी प्रा. नितीन बालगुडे पाटील यांचे व्याख्यान झाले आणि रात्री संगीत रजनी (हिंदी गाण्यांचा) हा कार्यक्रम संपन्न झाला. महिलांसाठी लावणी शो, आयपीएस अधिकारी विश्वास नांगरे पाटील यांची प्रकट मुलाखत, ज्येष्ठ साहित्यिक विश्वास पाटील यांच्याशी मुक्त संवाद, कॉमेडी एक्सप्रेस पुणे फास्ट आणि ज्येष्ठ अभिनेते, दिग्दर्शक महेश मांजरेकर यांच्या दिलखुलास मुलाखतीने बालगंधर्व रंगमंदिराचा 49 वा वर्धापन अविस्मरणीय ठरला.
“I saw original ‘Albela’ about 25 times” – Mangesh Desai
Every actor has his wish to perform some day with top bollywood actress. When Mangesh Desai began his acting career, he aspired to work with Madhuri Dixit, being a big fan of hers. Few years ago, when he saw the film ‘Parinita‘, he thought the same about Vidya Balan. And, his desire became strong, when he saw her film ‘Kahani‘. And his casting for the Marathi film ‘Ekk Albela‘ saw his dream come true. Mangesh Desai was cast opposite Vidya Balan , to play the character of Bhagwan Dada, on whose life the film was being made.
“When I received the offer for this film, I kept aside all other work, and started studying Bhagwan dada’s life. During this preparation time, I saw original film ‘Albela’ about 25 times. My preparation which started before the beginning of shooting, continued even during the course of shooting. I really worked very hard for every scene. After completing shooting for the day, I used to inquire about the next day’s scene and used to prepare for the same, even if I reached home late,” says Mangesh. During the press show, while commenting on his performance, director Shekhar Sartandel , was all praise for him. Why only the director, all those who saw this film, have been praising his performance.
David Dhawan unveils music of Marathi film ‘Taleem’
Now days, we find many Marathi film makers inviting Bollywood personalities as special attraction, during music launch of their films. Latest attraction being Bollywood film maker David Dhavan. He was recently invited by the makers of Marathi film ‘Taleem‘, to unveil music of the film. Present on the grand occasion were the producers of the film Sudarshan Lakshman Ingale, Sanjay Mulay, Jaiaditya Giri, director Nitin Madhukar Rokade, actors Abhijeet Shwetchandra, Vaishali Dabhade, Vishnu Joshilkar, Prashant Mohite, the lyricist Mandar Cholkar , music director Prafull Karlekar, cinematographer Farooque Khan, Singer Aanadi Joshi, Ronkani Gupta, Tarannum Malik, Swapnil Godbole, Abhirup besides prominent celebrities from both the Marathi as well as Bollywood industries in large numbers.
After winning accolades by editing several Hindi films, now Nitin Madhukar Rokade is all set to turn a director with this film ‘Taleem‘, which will present the pros and cons of the Wrestling sports, which is popular in Maharashtra. ‘Taleem‘ is now all set for release all over Maharashtra on July 15, 2016. Incidentally, Salman Khan‘s film ‘Sultan‘ set on the backdrop of the same sport, is releasing a week before the release of ‘Taleem‘. But, looking at the present progress of Marathi films, a lot is expected from ‘Taleem‘.
‘Taleem‘ has five songs on the music by Praful Karlekar. The film stars Abhijeet Shwetchandra, Vaishali Dabhade, Mitali Jagtap, Vishnu Joshilkar, Prashant Mohite, Yashpal Sarnath, Arjun and Chaya Kadam. While Nitin Rokade has written the story & screenplay besides directing and editing the film. Dialogues have been penned by Sikander Sayyed, Abhijeet Kulkarni and Nitin Rokade while Farouque Khan is the cinematographer of the film.
Colors Marathi offers twin attractions from 27th June
In an attempt to deviate from the traditional subjects on Marathi television, Colors Marathi channel have twin offers for their audience during the prime time from 26th June 2016. At 9 pm, they will be offering much publicized ‘Tujhyavachun Karmena’, a so called comedy with a difference, which will also host the marriage of Yash & Manu from another Colors popular serial ‘Asa Saasar Surekh Baai‘. And, that’s a big attraction.
Maharashtra being a land of famous saints, Colors Marathi will also begin their other serial ‘Awaaz’, beginning with the story of ‘Sant Dnyaneshwar’, to start with. For little school children, it will be an interesting watch to understand the teachings of the saints. Popular talented actor Saurabh Gokhale will be playing the lead role in the initial episodes of this serial. And, this is a big news for Marathi TV viewers.
Sonal Productions announce ‘Goshta Tashi Gamtichi Part-2′
Sequels of feature films is very common these days. But, we haven’t heard of sequel being made of a drama. After achieving great success for their Marathi drama ‘Goshta Tashi Gamtichi‘, Sonal Productions will now be presenting its sequel ‘Goshta Tashi Gamtichi-Part -2‘ . The announcement to this effect was made during the felicitation function held by the production, to greet all the artistes and back stage technical experts recently.
‘Goshta tashi Gamtichi‘ starring Mangesh Kadam, Shashank Ketkar & Leena Bhagwat, has performed 311 shows including some shows abroad, which were all houseful. In December 2015, Sonal Productions launched two new plays ‘Perfect Mismatch‘ followed by ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy‘ , which also attained instant popularity , winning various popular awards. The programme was anchored by Leena Bhagwat, while Mangesh Kadam spoke about his association with Sonal productions, right from the days, when they launched their first show in April 2013 , an orchestra ‘Akhiyon Ke Jharokonse‘ performed by the blind artistes.
Besides all the artistes of these three dramas, many other popular artistes were also present for this felicitation function, which was held at Suryavanshi Sabhagriha, Dadar, recently.
After ‘Time Please’ & ‘Double Seat’ now Sameer –kshitij are getting ready to release ‘YZ’
After successfully presenting good subjects on stage, the popular pair of Sameer Vidwans and Kshitij Patwardhan also did well to present two super hit Marathi films like ‘Time Please‘ and ‘Double Seat‘. And now, they are getting ready to release their next Marathi film with the name ‘YZ‘, a term generally used to call someone stupid or unwise. But, according to the makers of this film, this film will change its meaning after it is watched by audience from all age groups.
Recently, the first poster of this film was unveiled at the Siddhi Vinayak temple, Mumbai. So, it has become clear that the film stars Akshay Tanksale & Sagar Deshmukh . And, it has become clear that the film will be a comedy, to entertain the traditional Marathi audience. And therefore, it has raised the expectations of the audience. But, the names of other artistes will be disclosed shortly. The film is produced by Sanjay Chhabriya’s Everest Entertainment and Anish Jog’s Pratisaad Entertainment.
Now, a Marathi film ‘Chaurya’ on Shani Shingnapur temple controversy
At the beginning of this year, we saw the release of Marathi film ‘Lord of Shinganapur‘ which was about the faith many people have in this Lord, whose temple is based in Shinganapur. Few months back, we also noticed a controversy over women not allowed inside the inner sanctum of the Shani Shinganapur temple . Inspired by this controversy, forthcoming Marathi film ‘Chaurya‘ will present its story, to invite the attention of film lovers. The film is now all set to release on 5th August 2016.
Navlakha Arts and Holy Basil Company’s Nilesh Navlakha, Vivek Kajaria, and Cineleela Talkies’s Ashwini Patil have produced this film , while Navlakha Arts & Sadhana Cinema are presenters of this film. Directed by Sameer Asha Patil, the film stars talented artistes like Kishor Kadam, Ganesh Yadav, Milind Shinde, Pradeep Velankar along with Digvijay Rohidas, Dinesh Lata Shetty, Teertha Murbadkar, and Shruti Kulkarni .
We are all aware that Shinganapur village has a history of no robbery taking place in the village. But, surprisingly a robbery takes place in the temple itself and the villagers faith in God and the temple is hurt. And, the film has covered this issue in this suspense thriller. Kishore Kadam has two simultaneous releases
Many a times a particular actor finds two of his films releasing on the same day. Now, its the turn of versatile actor Kishore Kadam. Kishore has two simultaneous releases on 24th June 2016. Kishore is playing the lead role opposite Smita Tambe in the film ‘Ganvesh‘, while he has a prominent role in another film ‘Damlelya Babachi Kahani‘ .And, both these films are releasing on the same day. Incidentally, both the films are based on a social issue. Even otherwise, the presence of Kishore in a particular film, gives guarantee that the film has a very good subject.
It may be recalled that the talented actor has not only given memorable performances in films like ‘Ek Cup Chya‘,’Natarang‘, ‘Fandry‘, ‘Partu‘ in Marathi, but also prominent roles in Hindi films like ‘Samar‘, ‘Ek Chalis Ki Last Local‘ & ‘Special 26‘ & ‘Baby‘ . He has also won popular awards for his performances. Sanskruti Balgude is yet to come out of her character in ‘Damlelya Babachi Kahani’
Many times a particular artiste gets so much involved with his or her character, that it takes a long time for that artiste, to come out of that character. This has happened with popular Marathi film and TV actress Sanskruti Balgude. It may be recalled that few years ago, when Sanskruti Balgude performed in popular serial ‘Pinjara‘ . It was very difficult for Sanskruti to come out of the character of Anandi , as even after the show was over, she was recognized as Anandi.
Sanskruti hasn’t had much success with few films she did later. But, her dancing skills are known to all, when she performs at most of the popular award events. Now, her next Marathi film ‘Damlelya Babachi Kahani‘ is all set to release on 24th June and Sanskruti is eagerly waiting for this film’s release. Recently, when we met her, we did talk about her role in this film. And, the talented actress said that she was yet to come out of the character played by her in this film, though the shooting of the film got over long back. “It’s such an emotion filled role,” she said. By the way, her film ‘Bhay‘ is also due for release. There are three more films, she is doing and they are ‘Nivadung‘ and Mahesh Manjrekar’s ‘Friends Unlimited’. But, she doesn’t want say much about her third film right now.
