Saregamapa fame Jayesh Khare to sing ‘Darav Darav’ song in ‘Naal 2′
‘Darav darav..’ song from the forthcoming Marathi film ‘Naal 2′ will be in the voice of ‘Saregamapa’ fame singer Jayesh Khare .This song which is pictured on little children Chaitu, Chimu and Mani is written by Vaibhav Deshmukh and music of this song is composed by A.V. Prafulchandra. Along with Jayesh Khare Master Avan has also given his voice for this song.
Film maker Nagraj Manjule has been offering scope to many newcomers through his films. And the selection of Singer Jayesh Khare was also done by him along with Prafulchandra and Sudhakar Yankati from the Saregamapa programme. In a short time this ‘Saregamapa’ competitor has won the hearts of many music lovers. ‘Naal-2’ which is produced by Zee Studios and Nagraj Manjule will be released during Diwali on 10th November 2023.

Sonali Kulkarni’s parents to make guest appearance in ‘Short and Sweet’
Versatile actress Sonali Kulkarni’s parents will be seen in her forthcoming film ‘Short and Sweet’. It so happened that Sonali Kulkarni’s mother and father had visited her during the shooting of her film ‘Short and Sweet’ in Pune. At that time, a scene was being shot in a bus. As Sonali’s parents were available there, the director of the film offered them an opportunity to act in that scene. And both of them agreed to do that scene willingly, as it was with their dear daughter.
Speaking about their first experience in front of the camera, her parents said that they were more than happy to work with their daughter. Even Sonali reacted stating that it was a great experience. The film is directed by Dinkar Kadam and besides Sonali the other lead artistes of this film are Harshad Atkari, Shridhar Vatsar and Rasika Sunil. Made under the banner of Shubham Productions and produced by Payal Ganesh Kadam and Vinod Rao, this film is all set for release on 3rd November 2023.
Vikram Gokhale’s last film ‘Sur Lagu De’ to be released on 12th January 2024
Actor Vikram Gokhale is no more, but he is immortal through art. He faced the camera with great determination to do justice to his character even though his health was often unwell in the last days. His last film ‘Sur Lagu De’, which is very heart-wrenching, is soon coming to his fans. The new poster of this film was released recently.

Actor Vikram Gokhale’s birth anniversary was on October 30. On the occasion , the new poster of ‘Sur Lagu De’ was unveiled by actor-director Mahesh Manjrekar and actor Manoj Joshi in the presence of Vikram Gokhale’s wife Vrushali Vikram Gokhale at MIG Club in Bandra. The event was attended by Anil Kalelkar, Manoj Pakhade, film producers, directors, actors and dignitaries from the film industry.
Dedicated to Vikram Gokhale, this film has been written by Ashish Dev and music composed by music composer Pankaj Padghan. Along with the series, there is a surprise package featuring Reena Madhukar and Meghna Naidu . They are joined by Ashish Newalkar, Jayraj Nair, Sunil Godbole, Siddheshwar Zadbukke, Nitin Jadhav, Asha Nyate, Meru Vernekar, Anuradha More, Shekhar Shukla, Sandeep Gaikwad, Hitendra Upasani, Pradeep Patwardhan, Aslam Wadkar, Somnath Talwalkar, Sunil Jadhav, Deepika Golipkar, Alka Parab, Atul Ganorkar, Dilip Karade, Sandeep Jayagade, Amogh Chavan and Audumbar Babar. TV9 Marathi to felicitate Marathi artistes through ‘Aapla Bioscope’ awards
TV9 Marathi, the Popular Marathi channel of Maharashtra will be organising ‘Aapla Bioscope 2023′ awards to felicitate Marathi artistes from Marathi film and television industry. Besides artistes the people and production houses promoting the Marathi entertainment industry will also be felicitated. This grand ceremony will be held in Mumbai on 30th November 2023.
The awards will be presented in different categories in both film and TV serial sections. The film and TV serial should have been released during the period 1st November 2022 to 31st October 2023. The TV serial should be of at least 26 episodes. The entries should reach the organisers before 31st October 2023. The nominations will be uploaded on the official website of TV 9 Marathi. Gautam Joglekar takes a break from ‘Rama Raghav’
The replacement of actor during the telecast of a popular serial is not new to the home viewers. In the ongoing Marathi serial ‘Rama Raghav’ @ 9 pm on Colors Marathi, Gautam Joglekar who plays the important character of Girish Paranjape i.e. father Rama has taken a break. Gautam has given explanation for the same on the official page of Rama Raghav through a video posted by him.
He has also explained that his character will be played by his friend Srirang Deshmukh , who is his very good friend. He has also taken this opportunity to thank the viewers for appreciating his character and has requested them to offer the same love and affection to him too. The video posted by Gautam clearly shows that he has taken a break due to severe injury suffered by him, for which he needs to rest.
‘Nilavanti’ poster generates curiosity
Many a times a poster of the film generates a lot of curiosity about the film, if it conveys the message about the genre of that film, especially if it is a horror film. Makers of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Nilavanti ‘ with the tagline ‘Tee Yetiy….’ have banked on this kind of publicity. Besides an attractive tagline, they have also printed the poster of the film in such a way that it not only generates curiosity but have clearly indicated that it will be a horror film. A woman with her back to camera is shown carrying a lantern in her hand and walking past a jungle. Moreover, there is no clue about the actress who is seen in the poster.
Actually, ‘Neelavanti’ is a treatise , which has gone unnoticed as many people haven’t read it. There were rumours in the past about this treatise and the truth about the stories in it. But, now film maker Sachin Dabhade will reveal the story of Neelavant’ through this film. Writer- director Sachin Dabhade says that this film will be released soon and through this film the audience will witness not only renowned artistes in different roles but will also be curious to know the truth about Neelavanti .
‘Aatmapamphlet’ wins Asia Pacific Young Audience Award
Before its official theatre release on 6th October 2023, Marathi film ‘Aatmapamphlet’ has been receiving good response from international film festivals.After getting selected at 73rd Berlin International Film Festival, this film has now won the ‘Asia Pacific Young Audience Award’ at Queensland, Australia. There were entries from about 70 countries for this film festival. Three films were selected from this competition and ‘Atmapamphlet’ turned out to be one of them, besides Indonesian and Malaysian films.
Made under the banner of Maysabha Karmanook Mandali and presented by Gulshan Kumar,T Series,Color Yellow Productions and Zee Studios this film is directed by Ashish Avinash Bende and stars Om Bendkhale, Pranjali Shrikant Bhimrao Mude and Ketki Saraf in lead roles. Story of this film is written by Paresh Mokashi.
Speaking about his film director Ashish Avinash Bende says, “ I am really gald that our film has received so much of appreciation from audience in Australia. This film was screened at four places in Australia, including Brisbane and the stdudents’ Jury saw this film. They interacted video conferencing with the directors of the three shortlisted films and only thereafter the award was presented to our film.”
Abhishek Gunaji to make his debut as a director – Ravan Calling
Abhishek Gunaji son of renowned Marathi & Bollywood actor Milind Gunaji is making his debut as a director through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Ravan Calling’. Recently, muhurat of this film was performed with first clap for muhurat shot given by Amit Raj Thackeray. Abhishek Gunaji will be directing this film along with Sandeep Bankeshwar and the screenplay of this film is written by Abhishek Gunaji, Sandeep Bankeshwar and Sandeep Dandavate. Additional screenplay and dialogues are by Sachin Darekar.
Produced by Shree Gajanan Productions, this film stars Sachit Patil, Pooja Sawant, Vandana Gupte, Gaurav Ghatnekar, Ravi Kale, Bipin Nadkarni, Raju Shirsatkar ,Sonali Kulkarni and Milind Gunaji in lead roles. Speaking about this film director Abhishek Gunaji says, “This is my first independent film as a director, Earlier I had assisted Satish Rajwade for his film. Since my name is associated with two big names in this industry, I am working on this project with full responsibility and shall give my 100%.” The shooting of this film has started in Mumbai and very soon this film will be released.
‘Boyz ‘ ’will be the first Marathi film in four parts
After the success of ‘Boyz 1, 2, 3 series and their grand success, the makers of these films are now all set to release their ‘Boyz-4’ and this film will be released on 20th October 2023. The poster of ‘Boyz-4’ has been released on social media clearly stating ‘Aapan Yenaar tar dhamaka honaar’( We are coming to create a buzz) .Made under the banner of Supreme Motion Pictures and Everest entertainment, presented by Avadhoot Gupte, this film is directed by Vishal Sakharam Deorukhkar.
This film’s script is written by Hrishikesh Koli and this is the first film in Marathi which has been made in four parts. Earlier all three parts of ‘Boyz’ have achieved success at box office and trio of characters comprising of Dhairya , Dhungya and Kabir had become very popular . Now, it remains to be seen how they will be entertaining their fans. According to the director, the previous three parts had offered surprise and therefore the part 4 is also set to offer another surprise.
