Ajay Naik to present Umesh and Mukta together
Music director & Producer Ajay Naik, who shot into fame with his music, with the film ‘Satarangi Re’ is now busy directing his own film ‘Lagna Pahave Karun’. Film is produced by Kiran Deshpande & Mohan Damle, Co-Produced by Ashish Deshpande & Sanjeev Langarkande.
Ajay had a good experience in film production, as he had worked in many areas during the making of his 1st film ‘Satarangi Re’. Now, confident of Directing a film on his own, he paired Umesh kamat and Mukta Barve to play lead roles in his film. It is for the first time, Umesh and Mukta have been paired together on screen. The other couple in the film comprises of Siddharth Chandekar and Tejashri Pradhan, who have earlier worked together in film ‘Zenda’.
According to Ajay Naik, ‘Lagna Pahave Karun’ is a romantic musical film in which Umesh Kamat plays a foreign returned youngster who comes to India to get married and accidentally meets Mukta Barve who wishes to start a marriage bureau of her own, with a modern approach of match making. Swati Chitnis, who plays an astrologer, poses a big challenge, to their concept. Siddharth Chandekar and Tejashri Pradhan are the first couple to get married through the marriage bureau of Umesh and Mukta.
“It’s a different experiment attempted through the story of this film written by me, screenplay of which is penned by Sameer Vidwans and Kshitij Patwardhan,” says Ajay. Director of Photography for this film is Abhijit Abhe. Ajay is already receiving good response from his net friends on his debut project.
‘Chhabu Palali Sasarla’ Music launched
After ‘Sat Baara Kasa Badalala’ DK Production ahve now launched the Music and First Look of their second Marathi film ‘Chhabu Palali Sasarla’ in the Presence of Media and Special Invites on 3 June, 2013 evening at Kohinoor Hall , Prabhadevi Mumbai
The entire cast and crew along with Producer Mr. Mangesh Sadanand Thange Producer were introduced to the media on the occasion. Mr. Mangesh, has worked under the guidance of Late Mr. Dada Kondke and Mr. Sangram Shirke (Sarchitnis Shiv Sena & Treasure Dada kondke Pratishtan). He was inspired to start his Production house .
Present on the occasion were artistes of the film Ashok Shinde, Maitthily Jawakar, Madhavi Juvekar, Atul Parchure, Maithali Warang, Vinaay Laad and they all shared they experience during this Press meet . This is Ashok Shinde’s 111th Marathi film and he is looking forward to do many more films.
The Music was launched by the Chief Guest Mr. Anandji (of (Kalyanji Anandji famous Duo of Bollywood) and Mr. Rajan Prabhu of Universal Music India Pvt ltd. Mr. Ramesh Bhatkar, Jaywant Wadkar, Deepak Balraj Viij, Producer – Machindra Chate, Shailendra Barve, Actor Sachit Patil had also come to support and wish the entire team of “Chhabu Palali Sasarla” and also appreciated the Music given by Music director Mr. Ashok Patki who has given 6 track music in the film .

Sachin Tendulkar releases Music of ‘Sat Na Gat’
Now, free from IPL T20, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar is finding his time for family members. On Friday evening, the little master was present as a chief guest, to release the Music of Devisha film’s new Marathi film ‘Sat Na Gat’, which is based on the novel written by Rajan Khan. Incidentally, Sachin’s brother Nitin Tendulkar is making his debut as a lyricist through this film; and hence it was a happy occasion for Tendulkar family. Ms. Anjali Tendulkar wife of Sachin, was also present for this function, held at Rangasharada, Bandra.

‘Sat Na Gat’ is set on the backdrop of a peaceful and beautiful village, during the period of early 90s. The happening of a shocking event in this story, shows how it gets the political and social importance. ‘Sat Na Gat’, which is produced by Sai Shankar Films, is being presented by successful Industrialist Abhijit Gholap’s Devisha Films. ‘Sat Na Gat’ will be the third film to be released under their banner, after award winning film ‘Deool’ and ‘Baharatiya’. The film stars Mahesh Manjrekar in the role of a controversial Police officer, along with Bharat Jadhav playing a committed Journalist. Pakhi Hedge plays the leading lady in this film, with Sayaji Shinde in supporting cast. The film is directed by Raju Parsekar.
The first look of the film was also released during this function. On this occasion, Mr. Abjijit Gholap took this opportunity to felicitate five women namely :Padmashri Leela Poonawala-the first Woman CEO, Ms. Shravani Deodhar from Entertainment Industry, Ms. Veena Patil from Hospitality Services, Dr. Deepti Devbagkar from Medical field and Ms. Sucheta Kadethankar from Sports & Adventure field. All of them received their honours from Sachin Tendulkar. While speaking on the occasion, Sachin said that it was a special occasion for him, as he was attending a function to release a Music Album of a film, of which his brother was part of, as a lyricist. “We are all glad to witness his hidden talent. I am sure, this not the last one and there are many more occasions to come.” he wished.
After the function, Mr. Abhijit Gholap declared that ‘Sat Na Gat’ would be released on 5th July 2013. “We wish to observe this day( i.e 5th July) as ‘Women’s Felicitation day’ to respect all women in the society.” he said.

MIFTA is now MICTA, with a new look
Actor – Film maker Mahesh Manjrekar has been organising the MIFTA awards for the past three years successfully. He has made all efforts to spread the network of Marathi entertainment industry choosing foreign destinations like Dubai, London and Singapore. Now, MIFTA will have a new look with a new name MICTA ( Marathi International Cinema and Theatre Awards) besides having new partners. Thanks to Actor Sushant Shelar for playing a crucial role in bringing Nitesh Rane’s Maharashtra Kalanidhi as their esteemed partners.
A function was organised on 27th evening at Blue Sea, Worli, to make an official announcement to this effect and also disclose Switzlerland as the next venue for the IVth Mhaiskar-Micta awards. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mahesh Manjrekar stated that intention of hosting such award function abroad, was to encourage the artistes from Marathi entertainment industry. He also invited all the associates connected with the awards function, such as Mr. Mhaiskar of Mhaiskar Foundation, Mr. Nitesh Rane and Anant Panshikar from the from the Maharashtra kalanidhi and Ms. Veena Patil from Venna Patil Hospitality Services Pvt.Ltd; their Hospitality partners. He also invited Mr.Kiran Shantaram, Mr. Sushant Shelar and Mr. Chandrakant Kulkarni to the dais, while unveiling the new logo of Micta. Mr. Manjrekar did not forget to mention about the support received from Ms. Aishwarya Guhagarkar from Swiss Tourism.
Mr. Nitesh Rane in his small but encouraging speech, expressed his desire to help all those people like Mahesh Manjrekar who make a sincere effort to unite and encourage all those Marathi artistes together under one platform. He said that his Maharashtra Kalanidhi was always there to help organisers in Marathi entertainment industry, working for a cause. It may be mentioned that maharastra Kalanidhi offered financial help to Sanjay Jadhav’s film ‘Duniyadari’ at the most appropriate time. Mr. Mhaiskar, Sushant Shelar, Anant Panshikar and Veena Patil also spoke on the occasion. Mr. Chandrakant Kulkarni anchored the show. A short film giving a glimpse of the past three award functions of Micta and briefing about Swiss tourism was also shown on the occasion.
Present on the occasion were media persons, Ms. Aishwarya Guhagarkar of Swiss Tourism with her husband, Ms. Anuya Mhaiskar, Mr. Mahesh kothare with wife, Mr. Sanjay Jadhav besides many other dignitaries. New Marathi film ‘Gammat’ launched with song recording
Silver screen Entertainment’s new Marathi film ‘Gammat’ was launched with song recording at Empire Studios, Andheri. Produced by Seema Sharadkumar Shrivastav, the film is a black comedy on husband and wife relationship; as claimed by the makers.
Written and directed by Milind kavade, the film stars Sanjay Narvekar, Jitendra Joshi, Smita Gondkar, Aditi Sarangdhar, Vijay Patkar, Aarti Solanki, Satish Tare and Ananda Karekar. Lyrics by Francis & Mandar and Music by Nitinkumar Gupta are other credits.
‘Chapa Kata’ promises good script and finest tech support
Now days, more and more talented artistes, directors and technicians are getting attracted towards Marathi film industry. And they all are trying to bring in the desired change. What is more appreciated is that technicians from advanced countries are becoming part of Marathi films. In ‘Pune 52′ we found the involvement of American technicians. Now, forthcoming films ‘Zapatlela 2′ and ‘Aajoba’ have also sought the help of foreign technicians, to make their films technically perfect, in their presentation.
Now new dynamic writer- director Nitin Suryavanshi is making all efforts to make his forthcoming film ‘Chapa Kata’ more effective with advanced technical support. While speaking to Marathi Movie World, Nitin Suryavanshi stated that the story of his film has been set on the backdrop of a small village during 70s. “My film is about a 10 year old boy and through the film, I have tried to emphasize, how modernisation should not come in the way of cultural heritage and values. I am confident about my script and hence wanted it to be technically perfect,” he added.
‘Chapa Kata’ has the combination of veteran and new artistes. The film’s shooting begins shortly in Pune, Kolhapur and Wai. Immediately after completing the film, he wishes to send his film for International film festivals and only after releasing at international festivals, he would release the film all over Maharashtra.
‘Kalakar’ to take on ‘Ekulti Ek’
Come Friday and two Marathi films will release to prove the mettle of two young artistes. While Shriya Pilgaonkar’ daughter of Sachin Pilgaonkar makes her debut through ‘Ekulti Ek’ under her father’s direction; Bhooshan Pradhan plays the lead hero opposite two new stars, through his much awaited film ‘Kalakar’.
While ‘Ekulti Ek’ is a much hyped film, not sparing any popular programmes on television for their promotion, ‘Kalakar’ has preferred to bank on the word of mouth publicity , after its release. Now, talking about the pre release Premire show, ‘Ekulti Ek’ is going on the lines of ‘Balak Palak’ promotion, announcing the Virtual premiere show today at 6 pm at 5 different theatres across Maharashtra, including Citylight, Mumbai.. However, ‘kalakar’ team have organised a Grand premiere at historical Plaza Cinema today at 7 pm.
Produced by Aashay Palekar and directed by Sakar Raut ‘Kalakar’ has really shown the guts to take on much publicized ‘Ekulti Ek’. Now, it’s time for ‘Majhi Shala’
After ‘Shala’ it’s time for ‘Majhi Shala’ . But, unlike ‘Shala’ which was a light hearted humour, ‘Majhi Shala’ is set on the backdrop of much needed education to farmer’s children. It is a film to emphasize the importance of education to this sector.
Arun Nalawade plays the central character of a farmer from rural area in this film, supported by Alka Kubal Athlye in female lead. Child artiste Aakash Waghmode plays their son,in the company of artistes like Jayant Savarkar, Devendra Dodke, Deepjyoti and others. Script and direction by Shantaram Tambe, lyrics ny Rishikesh koli, Music by Sachin-Dipesh and Cinematography by Vinayak Jadhav are other credits.
Damle Couple to be felicitated by Swar Aalap
Mr. Vasantrao Damle alias Pandit Damle,( son of late Vishnupant Damle founder of Prabhat Film Company) and his wife Neela Damle, will be felicitated by Swar Aalap, an organisation, which has been encouraging Musicians from Indian entertainment industry. According to Mr. Dinesh Ghate, founder of Swar Aalap,which is in its 12 year thought of felicitating the couple, for their contribution to Film and Music world respectively.Marathi Movie world spoke to Dinesh Ghate, who is organising his show at Ravindra Natya Mandir to pay tributes to Kishore kumar, besides felicitating these few veterans from entertainment industry.
“This is 100th year of Indian film industry and we thought of felicitating the oldest music arranger and Musician Bahadur Nanji, who is 93 today. When we heard about the contribution of Damle couple in their respective field, we also thought about felicitating them on this occasion. I was overwhelmed, when I met this simple living couple at their Shivaji Park residence. Vasantrao who played the child artiste in many Prabhat films, is the only living person from the film ‘Sant Tukaram’ made by Prabhat and was the first talkie film from India, shown at the Venice Film festival. Vastantrao has also written a book, on his experience with Prabhat films, recalling all old memories of veteran music directors, actors who worked with Prabhat those days. Hence we thought of honouring him on this occasion,” said Mr. Dinesh.
” I was also glad to know about the background of Neela Damle, formerly Neela Kale , daughter of Madhav kale, the actor and director of Hindi films of silent era. But, more than that what inspired me was her spirit to keep the music alive. Her mother was a music exponent, forming the first all women orchestra in India during 30s. Neela continued her passion playing all musical instruments after marriage. She was a Doordarshan artiste and has been recognised as a Stylophone Queen, the name given to her by Music director kalyanjibjai. She still plays the tunes of old Bollywood hits on that compact stylophone instrument, which is not an easy job. When I consulted my colleagues about felicitating them; they immediately agreed.” he concluded.
