Ankita Raut & Tanmay Patekar’s romantic Koli song ‘Hukmachi Rani’ launched
Taking the popularity and freshness of Koli songs to the next level, Ankita Raut and Tanmay Patekar’s song ‘Hukamachi Rani’ was launched recently on social media. After launching the impressive poster of the romantic track, the makers of the song producer Sagar Sherekar and director Kailash Pawar have recently showcased the entire song for the music lovers.
Composed by Amey Mulay, crooned by Manish Rajgire and Larissa Almeida under the banner of NBEE Film Production, ‘Hukmachi Rani’ has been penned by Indraneel Chavan and choreographed by Pamodkumar Bari. The foot-tapping song showcases adorable chemistry between Ankita and Tanmay has been shot at the exotic locales in Alibaug.
Depicting a beautiful love story between the lead protagonists – Ankita and Tanmay, Having featured in popular Koli songs before, Ankita’s sizzling dance moves is one of the biggest USPs of the song, apart from Tanmay’s cute expressions as his character expresses love for Ankita. Both of them are seen in different costumes in this song.
Director Kailash Pawar says, “It’s a soothing, romantic track where Tanmay’s character is trying to impress the character played by Ankita and eventually they both fell in love and get happily married.” Now, it remains to be seen whether ‘Hukmachi Rani’ will be enjoyed by viewers across all age groups, as expected by the director.
New Show ‘Patla Tar Ghya with Jayanti’ on Planet Marathi
Planet Marathi OTT Channel which has offered variety of Marathi web films and series during the last year, will now be offering variety of entertainment shows in the year 2023. ‘Patla Tar Ghya with Jayanti’ an entertainment show anchored by Jayanti Waghmare will be one of them. This show which has begun from 26th January 2023 with talk show with Tejaswini Pandit and Abhijit Panse will be presented every Friday with new episode. Amruta Khanvilkar to play Lalita Babar in her biopic
Popular Marathi actress Amruta Khanvilkar will be playing the role of renowned international level athlete Lalita Shivaji Babar in her biopic to be presented by Akshay Bardapurkar, Planet Marathi and Endemol Shine India. This film will be produced by Akshay Vilas Bardapurkar, Rishi Negi, Gaurav Gokhaleand Ronit Mitra. Announcement of this Marathi film was made on the occasion of Republic day with the release of poster of this film, carrying the photo of lead actress Amruta Khanvilkar.

According to the makers of this film, this film will be released on next republic day, i.e. on 26th January 2024. Speaking about her role in this film, Amruta Khanvilkar says, “I am glad that I got an opportunity to play the role of world renowned athlete like Lalit Babar who has many achievements on record. For the past one year I have been in touch with her and studying her behaviour and body language , so that I could give full justice to this character.”
Mr. Akshay Bardapurkar feels that a biopic on the life of a girl coming from a from farmer’s family in small village from Satara, would certainly inspire one and all. Gaurav Gokhale from Endemol Shine India says that after making National level and regional films, with this film they have entered the Marathi film industry in association with Planet Marathi He is confident that a talented actress like Amruta will give justice to her character in this film.
Anand L Rai & Kshiti Jog announce ‘Jhimma 2′
After the success of their Marathi film ‘Jhimma’ one year ago,producers Anand L Rai and Kshiti Jog have announced their next film ‘Jhimma 2′ through a video on social media. In this video Nirmiti Sawant is seen asking for permission from Anant Jog to go on a tour. In this sequel Nirmiti is asked by Anant Jog to take her daughter-in-law along with her. So, it remains to be seen who will play her daughter in law and whether other tour friends will be the same or different group.
Directed by Hemant Dhome, this part 2 of ‘Jhimma’ will be presented by Anand L Rai and Colour Yellow Productions. Speaking about this film, Hemant said that after the success of ‘Jhimma’ , he has been approached by many women, who enquired about the sequel. This time, there was more fun making this part 2 and I am sure the audience will enjoy it. Producer Anand L Rai said that he was more than happy to be associated with this team and added that they could pass a good message through their film and therefore decided to to make part 2.
Mahesh Nene completes shooting of his Marathi Movie ‘Daak’
Variety of subjects presented by Marathi cinema has invited the attention of many all over the world. Marathi cinemas are produced with the passion of innovation, changing with the times. In the wave of comedy films comes a film that grabs the attention of everyone. However, the number of horror films in Marathi are very less as compared to comedy, content-based and entertaining films. The upcoming Marathi horror film titled ‘Daak’ will perhaps fill out this gap. The shooting of ‘Daak’ was completed recently.
Ratish Tawde and Mahesh Nene have produced the film ‘Daak’ under the banner of Mahesh Nene Productions. The film was shot in Baijnath village near picturesque Kolad in Raigad district. Mahesh Nene has accepted the challenge of presenting a horror film to Marathi audiences through ‘Daak’ and based on advanced technology and innovative plot, he is going to give the fans an experience of fear. Mahesh Nene has already announced his upcoming film ‘Chimaji Appa’ and currently the work of this film is also going on at a fast pace.
Now, it remains to be seen whether ‘Daak’ will offer the audience a thrilling experience. Although the exact plot of the film is kept under wraps for now, the secret will be revealed soon. ‘Daak’ has received Devang Gandhi’s special support. Along with the direction, the story of the film has also been written by Mahesh Nene. Actors Ashwini Kalsekar, Sanjivani Jadhav, Aniket Kelkar etc. have played various characters in this film.

This song is available on Zee Music Marathi. The mighty blue sea, beaches and sea-coasts surrounded by greenery, coconut trees and groves, amazing aerial camerawork and glimpses of the underwater world are perfectly presented in the song.
‘Gadad Andhar’ stars ‘MTV SplitsVilla X3′ winner and ‘Bigg Boss’ fame Jay Dudhane in the lead role, along with actress Neha Mahajan. Other artistes are Shubhangi Tambale, Akash Kumbhar etc. Pradnyesh Kadam has written the film along with Laukik and Chetan Mule. This so called Super natural thriller will release on 3rd February 2023 all over Maharashtra.
Prajakta Mali launches her own brand of Jewellery ‘PrajaktaRaj’
Popular Marathi actress Prajakta Mali known for her acting and anchoring talents, recently launched her own collection of traditional Maharashtrian Jewellery. Chief guest MNS Chief Raj Thackeray launched her brand collection ‘Prajaktaraj’ in Mumbai in presence of guest of honour renowned writer Vishwas Patil .
Speaking about her collection of Jewellery, Mr. raj Thackeray was all praise for her unique collection. “When I was shown this traditional collection, I was myself not aware of them. I appreciate her enthusiasm while presenting this rare collection,” he said. Mr. Vishwas Patil also praised Prajakta’s efforts in creating her own brand , while keeping the Maharashtriyan tradition alive.

‘Phulrani’ to appear on Big Screen on auspicious Gudi Padwa day
We have seen many versions of ‘Phulrani’ on Marathi stage over the years, since the release of Musical English film ‘My Fair Lady’ based on George Bernard Shaw’s 1913 play ‘Pygmalion’. Now, Fincraft Media and Amruta Films will present a Marathi film ‘Phulrani – Avismaraniya Prem Kahani’ which is directed by Vishwas Joshi. Written by Vishwas Joshi and Guru Thakur this film is produced by Jai Joshi, Vishwas Joshi and Shri A Rao.
This film will be released on auspicious Gudi Padwa day, i.e. on 22nd March 2023 . Recently, the first poster of this film was released with a modern day Phulrani in a back pose holding mobile phone in her hand. So, this has raised a lot of curiosity among the Marathi film lovers, as to who will be playing this title role? However, one thing is clear that the equally important role of Vikram Rajadhyaksha will be played by Subodh Bhave. Lyrics of this musical film are by Balkavi and Guru Thakur, while music will be provided by Nilesh Moharir. Cinematography is by Kedar Gaikwad. Art is by Santosh Phutane.
