Paresh Mokashi ‘Vaalvi’ to release on 13th January 2023
Zee Talkies and Paresh Mokashi have together in the past released two successful films ‘Elizabeth Ekadashi’ and ‘Chi va Chi Sou Ka’ Now, their next film ‘Vaalvi’ is all set for release on 13th January 2023. To make this announcement Director Paresh Mokashi has released an unusual teaser , in which we see him talking to the four lead artistes of the film, telling them the subject of the film, which highlights ‘termite’ a dangerous insect which feds on wood.
However, there is a lot of curiosity among the film lovers, as to what type of characters the four lead artistes in the film , namely Swapnil Joshi, Anita Date, Subodh Bhave and Shivani Surve will be playing in this film. Incidentally, ‘Vaalvi’ was won the Best film award at the 13th Chicago South Asian Film Festival and therefore there are big hopes from this film. Even otherwise, Zee Talkies and Paresh Mokashi will make a hat trick with this film’s release.
Teaser of upcoming Marathi film Saath Sobat released
The teaser of the upcoming Marathi film ‘Saath Sobat (साथ सोबत)’ which was released on social recently, has been receiving good response from netizens in a short time. It gives an impression that National award winning director Ramesh More has presented a different plot in this film , which will be released on January 13, 2023.
Sangram Samel, Mrunal Kulkarni in Marathi movie ‘Saath-Sobat’
Presented by Prasanna Vaidya, produced by Dhanji Maru under the banner of Maru Enterprises, ‘Saath Sobat’ is written and directed by Ramesh More. Sameer Dixit and Rishikesh Bhirangi of Pickle Entertainment will look after the distribution of the film across Maharashtra. After watching the teaser, it gives an idea that it is a love story on the backdrop of a picturesque village. Sangram Samel, who has succeeded in making his mark in all three mediums namely serials, films and stage, is playing the lead role. He is paired with young debutant actress Mrunal Kulkarni. Besides this lead pair, the film also stars Rajdutt, Mohan Joshi, Anil Gavas, Amol Redij, Dilip Asurdekar and other artistes.
Cinematography is by Harshal Kantak and editing by Abhishek Mhaskar. Lyrics penned by Yashshree More, have been composed by music composer Mahesh Naik. Background music is also by Mahesh Naik. Yashshree More has also handled the responsibility of costumes in this film. Santosh Chari and Satish Bhavsar have done the Makeup. Besides choreography, Meenal Ghag has also done the hairstyling and Prakash Kamble has done the art direction.
Omkar Bhojane to play lead in ‘Sarla Ek Koti’
Popular comedian Omkar Bhojane will be seen in a new look and that too in the lead role on big screen. Recently, poster of his new film ‘Sarla Ek Koti (सरला एक कोटी)’ in the lead role was released, where he is seen in a new look. So, his new look is the topic of discussion among his fans who are also eager to know what is this film about and what type of character Omkar will be playing?
The title of this film itself is unique. In the poster of this film Omkar is seen gambling while playing cards and there is a message seen on the poster ‘ One who believes in good luck is a real Gambler’. ‘Sur Lagu De’ teaser released
Forthcoming Marathi film ‘Sur Lagu De’, which in memory of the late actor Vikram Gokhale, will soon be released. The film is going to be a true tribute to the veteran actor. The teaser of this film was released recently with lot of excitement. This teaser shows the first glimpse of the film and is welcomed by one and all. Within a short time, this teaser has received thousands of likes, with his admirers sharing the teaser with great love on social media.
The teaser was officially launched at the famous studio in Mahalakshmi, Mumbai, raising the slogan of women empowerment. The entire team of the film along with the producer, director, actors were present on this occasion. ‘Sur Lagu De’ is produced by Abhishek ‘King’ Kumar and Nitin Upadhyaya under the banner of Oddball Motion Pictures. Pickle Entertainment’s Sameer Dixit and Rishikesh Bhirangi are distributing this film. This film is directed by Pravin Vijaya Eknath Birje. The teaser of ‘Sur Lagu De’ suggests that the juxtaposition of two veterans, National Award-winning actor Vikram Gokhale in the lead role and actress Suhasini Mulye, who plays his counterpart. The teaser also has a glimpse of the character played by actress Reena Madhukar, who is popular in Marathi films as well as serials. Meghna Naidu of ‘Kaliyon Ka Chaman…’ fame will be seen as a surprise package in the film. Story of this film is written by Ashish Dev and the music is composed by Pankaj Padghan.
Expressing her feelings through the video at the teaser launch, Suhasini Mulye said that ‘Sur Lagu De’ is a sweet story of relationships. Unfortunately, this will be the last movie of a great and much loved actor Vikram Gokhale. Vikramji called me before the last schedule of this film started, “I don’t want to leave any of my work halfway. Even in that delicate situation, he worked for 14-14 hours and completed the shooting of ‘Sur Lagu De’. I think the audience should not watch this film only for Vikramji. This movie is a must watch for its sweet-great work as well as a very good story.” Meghna Naidu also expressed the feeling that the film ‘Sur Lagu De’ will serve to convey an important message to the audience.
New Marathi film ‘Bamboo’ to be released on 26th January 2023
Produced by Tejaswini Pandit and Santosh Kher, written by Amber Vinod Hadap and directed Vishal Devrukhkar new Marathi film ‘Bamboo’ will be released on 26th January 2023. Official announcement to this effect was made on social media by releasing the teaser of this film, which shows a young couple walking on a deserted road alongside bamboo forest, with the young woman holding her bicycle in hand while walking. The film clearly indicates that it is a love story.
Producer Santosh Kher has also confirmed that it will be a love story with obstacles and calls it an entertaining film. Director Vishal Deorukhkar feels that the youngsters would find themselves close to this film. “Though we have targeted the youth audience, these youngsters should watch this film with their parents,” he says. There is a lot of curiosity about the artistes performing in this film. But, for that we will have to wait till next announcement.
Remaining episodes of ‘Athang’ released on OTT platform
Having received very good response to their earlier episodes, Planet Marathi have released the remaining episodes of ‘Athang‘ on their OTT platform. For the first time the makers of this web series have released the episodes in parts and this has helped them to generate curiosity among the viewers. किरण माने म्हणाले, “विश्वासघातकी पोरगी. असल्या पोरीशी काय बोलतो आहेस, मला नाही बोलायचं. ”
अमृता म्हणाली, “निघा मग.”

Mayuri Wagh returns to small screen with ‘Ekvira Aai’
Talented actress Mayuri Wagh who is known for her notable performances in TV serials ‘Asmita’ and ‘Ti Phulrani’ has returned with a new devotional TV serial ; Aashirwad Tujha Ekvira Aai (आशीर्वाद तुझा एकविरा आई)’ on Sony Marathi channel. Mayuri has been offered parallel lead role along with Amruta Pawar in this serial. Both are working together for the first time.
Mayuri who likes to perform variety of roles, will be playing the character of Goddess Ekvira Devi who has plenty of devotees scattered all over the world. Even otherwise, serials based on mythological subjects have always received good response from home viewers. And Mayuri being a popular actress, this serial is also expected to receive popularity. There is plenty of scope for special effects, as noticed in the promos.
‘Dhondi Champya’ music launched
The music of much talked about Marathi film ‘Dhondi Champya – Ek Prem Katha’ was launched recently in presence of Bharat jadhav, Vaibhav mangle, Nikhil Chavan and the entire team of this film. Speaking about the songs in this film, director Dnyanesh Bhalekar says, “ Every song in this film has its own style and tries to express the feelings. I am sure the audience will enjoy these songs.”
There are total three songs in this film. The humour filled song ‘Swagwala Reda..’ is rendered by Avadhoot Gupte, Vaishali samant and Saurabh Shete and is penned by Ganesh Nigade. ‘Halke halke Reshami…’ is a romantic song written by Guru Thakur and rendered by Saurabh Shete and Sana Moidutti and the third song written by Mandar Cholkar is also rendered by Saurabh and Sana. All the three songs are composed by music directors Saurabh- Durgesh. Choreography is by Sujit Kumar and Siddhesh Dalvi. This film is all set to release on 16th December 2022.
Marathi film Producer Capt. Kalpesh Magar bereaved
Producer of recently released Marathi film ‘Varhadi Vajantri’ Capt. Kalpesh Magar received a sad news about the death of his father Ravindra Haribhau Magar. His father was recently admitted to Kandivali’s Wins Hospital where was being treated for some ailment. On 2nd December his health further deteriorated and was admitted to Intensive Care Unit, when he suffered a brain stroke and died. He was 70.
Ravindra Magar is survived by his wife, two sons, daughter, son in law, daughters in law and grandchildren. His elder son is a lawyer while younger son Capt. Kalpesh is a Mariner and recently produced a multi starrer Marathi film ‘Varhadi Vajantri’
