Jaanvee Arora’s debut Album “JAANVEE” presented by Sagarika Music
Jaanvee Prabhu Arora a talented and versatile artist kick starts her musical career under the Sagarika Music label with her Album “Jaanvee.” The album includes melodious 8 tracks composed by talented composer ‘Kaushal Inamdar.’
The theme of the album is the expression of 8 different emotions of a woman. Each song of the album describes an emotion or a feeling of a woman in love. Romance, Anger, passion, separation, indignation, pride – all these emotions beautifully portrayed in 8 songs.
The album includes tracks like “Kase Jata Lagi”, “Teer Najareche”, “Maan Paratichya Vatevarati”, “Vaat Pahunee”, “Abhisarika Jhale”, “Dolyamadhali Jadugiri”, “Athavanicha Dhasaka” and “Tujhyavina Ha Shravan Vairi”.
Avadhoot Gupte, Hrishikesh Kamerkar, Sunil Barve, Priya Bapat, Bhushan Marathe, Omkar Dadarkar, Mangal Mishra have contributed to the album by featuring in interesting cameos. Poets like Ashok Bagve, Guru Thakur and Prasad Kulkarni have penned the lyrics.
Jaanvee has done justice to the tracks by bringing out each emotion in her own unique style and expression.
Akhercha Shwaas completes picturisation
‘Akhercha Shwaas’, an emotional family movie has finished with its shoot. The movie made under the banner of Atharva Creations will be in theatres in April-May, once it has been cleared by the censor board.
The story which is about the life of a doctor has been spun into an emotional tale. The movie has been produced and directed by Jayprakash Mahadev Patil who has also given the music and done the direction. The story and dialogue are by K Vandana. The songs for the movie are written by Rachana Jayprakash Mahadev, K Vandana and Pradeep Kamble.
Vivek Naik and Devangi Das are the singers. The lighting is by Jeetendra Achrekar and Shantaram Bhosale. The shooting has been done at Basara Studio in Kandivali, S.S Studio and at Bricks Studio in Andheri.
Mangesh Desai, Satish Tare, Kishore Nandlaskar, Vijay Kadam, Madhavi Dhabholkar, Sudha Shibe, Shatavari Vaidhya, Shekhar Pradhan, Prashant Yerawale and child artiste Preetesh Joshi are the actors in the movie.

Elixir Logical Thinker Movies Pvt Ltd. Santosh Khole directed new movie‘ Made In China‘ has refreshed people’s memory about some memorable songs from V Shantaram’s blockbuster movie ‘Manus‘. The song featuring Shanta Hobalikar, ‘Kashala Udychi Baat’ has been included in the movie. The song in the movie has been sung by Sundhi Chauhan and has been featured on Deepshikaha, the actress making her mark in the industry through TV serial ‘Ajnabee’ and movies like ‘Koyla’, ‘Baadashah’ and ‘Partner’. The song has been shot at Click Nichkleson’s in Andheri (W). Deepshikha and Milind Gunaji have made the look a great one with their dance moves. The song has been choreographed by Umesh Jhadav. Only the first paragraph of the song has been used while the other lyrics of the song have been given by Roshani Bhalvankar. The song reads as: Nar Naveli Toofani, Aada Hai Teri Hatke, Kaamal Tera Jathke Ga Pori, Kaamal Tera Jathke. Swaroop Anand has given music to the song.
The executive producers of the movie are Ashish Patil and Prasad Mirasdar while the art direction has been done by Eknath Kadam. The screenplay of the movie has been done by Dhananjay Kulkarni. The cast of the movie includes Sandeep Kulkarni, Milind Gunaji, Upendra Limaye, Mrunal Kulkarni, Madhura Velankar, Pooja Nayak, Shilpa Navalkar, Kanchan Pagare, Uttara Bavakar and Dr. Sharad Bhutadia. The movie which took 51 days for production has been produced by Kamal Kaitan
Atul Kulkarni has taken up the gaining weight challenge for a Marathi Film.
A national award winning actor, Atul Kulkarni of ‘Hey Ram’, ‘Page 3′ ,’Chandani Bar’, ‘Rang de Basanti ‘fame has now taken up the challenge of gaining weight challenge for a Marathi Film. Originally weighing 70 kg Atul gains in the film upto 85 kgs for the first half of the film and he reduced 17 kgs for the second half of the film. And all of these in just about three months, 45 days for gaining and 40 days for loosing weight.
Atul Kulkarni is doing all this for the Marathi film, ‘Natarang’, Zee Talkies first production. ‘Natarang’ is based on a novel by Anand Yadav, Marathi litterateur and President of this year’s Marathi Sahitya Sammelan. ‘Natarang’ is the story of ‘GunaUNA, a farm worker from the backwad community, who is an amateur wrestler with ultimate dreams of playing the King in the traditional Marathi folk art Tamasha.
Now first half of the film is comleted and Atul is extremely trying hard especially to lose weight with a strict schedule that includes a 12 km run and twice a day gym workout. For the ‘Natarang’, he has kept himself away from the other projects. From Sepember of the last year Atul is delicately into this project, neither doing other films nor accepting scripts for seven months. He had kept Maniratnam, Vishal Bharadwaj and some other Hindi directors waiting.
Zee Talkies were very sure that only Atul Kulkarni could play ‘Guna’ and without him it was just not possible!
Siddharth Jadhav sings Marathi tunes
For versatile actors, nothing is impossible. So be it production, direction, choreography or even singing! Showing his multi-talents is actor Siddharth Jadhav for whom all the stages of performance be it television, Theatre or the big screen are a cake walk. This time the comedian has turned a playback singer. He has sung his number in Gajendra Ahire’s Sixer.
The hip-hop song is written by Ahire and Vidhyadhar Bhave. While the production was on, there was a discussion on whom to give the song to sing. This was when Ahire directly went to Siddharth and offered him to sing it. Siddharth, too, decided to try take up the challenge and try his hand out in this field. “I feel happy to tell that Siddharth has sung the song very easily and methodically. It is fun to hear him sing.”says Ahire.
Sixer is the first movie of Vidhyadhar Bhave. I am Tansen, but I never thought that I would get an opportunity to sing, said Siddharth adding that I always sung in my college’s gathering but had never thought that I would get the opportunity to sing professionally. While singing I did not take any tension. I am satisfied that I sung very well
‘Gabharicha Paus’ acclaimed at PIFF
The Pune International Film Festival concluded recently. The week long festival featured 140 films from 42 countries. A special section for the screening of Marathi movies and a separate competition for Marathi movies was also organised.
The closing ceremony was held at Shri Ganesh Kala Krida Rangmanch on January 15. Chief Minister Ashok Chavan was the chief guest for the event. Union minister for civil aviation Praful Patel, eminent producer-director Subhash Ghai and several dignitaries from the film world, politics and other spheres of society were also present.
Chief Minister Ashok Chavan assured that from the next year, the festival will be held joint venture between the organisers and the state government.
The Prabhat Best International Film award went to Mexico’s Lake Taheo. The Prabhat Best International Film Director went to Sergey Dvortsevoy for his movie ‘Tulpan‘ from Kazakhstan. The Government of Maharashtra-Sant Tukaram Best International Marathi Film Award went to ‘Gabhricha Paus‘ directed by Satish Manwar and produced by Prashant Pethe.
The other awards in the Marathi section were Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal Awards

‘Gav Tasa Changla’ releasing on this friday
Coming to the big screen after many years of entertaining the audience through villainous roles is veteran actor Nilu Phule with ‘Gav Tasa Changla’. A presentation of R Dawar Events Pvt Ltd, produced by Anand Daware and directed by Mahesh Tilekar, the movie will be released on Jan 9.
Nilu Phule had retired from movies in 1996 after giving some mesmerising performances in movies like ‘Samana‘, ‘Sinhasan‘, ‘Pinjara‘, ‘Jait re Jait’, ‘Binkamacha Navra’ and ‘Majha Pati Korad Pati’. In ‘Gav Tasa Changla’, he plays the role of a teacher who is determined to change the people of a village who are lacking progress mainly because of their own lethargic nature.
The audience will be treated with a variety of comedy characters associated with the plot. The castoff the movie includes Sanjay Narvekar, Kranti Redkar, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Siddharth Jadhav, Nagesh Bhosale, Vijay Chavan, Charushila Sabale, Nayana Apte, Kishori Ambiye.

‘Kshanokshani’ movie is based on a novel, ‘JUNE 23′
‘Kshanokshani‘ a multi-starrer and a big budget movie, made under the banner Aalhad Films, will be in the theatres soon.
The movie is based on a novel, ‘JUNE 23‘ by Pradeep Dalvi. ‘Kshanokshani‘ is a story about four friends (two girls and two boys); a doctor, a police inspector, a reporter and a lawyer. An incident shakes up their smooth moving world; the story is about their struggle to find out the reasons behind it and the happenings in the process.
The movie is directed by Sangeet Kulkarni who has made his marks through TV soaps like ‘Rimjim’, ‘Vadalvat ‘and ‘Tharar’. The production of the movie is a joint effort by the director, video-editor Prekshit Joshi, journalist Milind Limaye and Manoj Dharmadhikari.
The script is by Kulkarni and Jyoti- Sagar who has also written the dialogues, music is by Ashok Patki while the editing is done by Prekshit Joshi. The lead actors are Subodh Bhave, Madhura Velankar, Amruta Subhash and Umesh Kamat. The other stars are Dilip Prabhavalkar, Kiran Karmarkar, Atul Parchure, Ravindra Mankani, Jayant Wadkar, Uday Sabnis, Abhijeet Chavan, Manjusha Godse, Pushkar Shrotti, Kalyani Mule and many more.
“I have explored the disable world through ‘Satya'” – Pushkar Jog
‘Satya – More than Human’, a movie on the future of mentally retarded children and the social stigma attached to them concluded its shooting at Kamyani, Pune, an institute for the retarded recently. Actor, script writer and director of the movie, Pushkar Jog said, “I am connected to the institute since I the time of Sindhutai Joshi. I share a special of relationship with the children here. These children are not responsible for their physical and mental disability but still they are disowned by the society. In-spite of this the children are kind and loving. I have explored their world through this movie. It is a tribute to Sindhutai.”
The movie is about 22-year boy Siddhant whose life changes after a minor accident. From struggling to keep away from the virtual sympathies from people in the normal world, he finds love in the world of the retarded and makes his own small world.
There will be a friendly cricket match between Satya’s team and Kamyani’s team on November 28. All the stars of the movie will participate in the match. The movie will be screened special show on December 5 at Cinemax, Andheri. Many Bollywood celebrities will make an appearance. On December 5, a rally will be held in Pune to promote the film and spread awareness about abnormality and the movie will be premiered at City Pride, Kothrud at 6pm.
The movie stars Ravindra Mankani, Mohan Joshi, Resham Tipnis, Smita Gondkar, Shrikant Moghe.
Audiences in for a treat with many more Marathi movies lined-up this month
The Marathi movie industry is on a high and there seems to be no stopping to it. With as many as ten to twelve movies are coming to entertain the audience this December in-spite of the economic slowdown and the recent terror attacks.
Even though the month of November was not so great for the producers, many movies are on the floor and are their picturization is in full swing. This week,on December 5, States Films’s ‘Oxygen (Jeev Gudmartoya)’ will be released. Produced by Nita Devkar, the movie is a big budget film. Sayaji Shinde, Teja Devkar, Makrand Anaspure, Chinmay Mandelekar and many more actors will be seen in the movie.
‘Achanak (a statement on terrorism)’ is another movie which will be released on the December 5. The movie was appreciated at the recently concluded Asian Film Festival. The strong performances in the movie by Mohan Joshi, Reema Lagoo and Sharad Ponshe are the attraction of the movie. Pushkar Jog’s ‘Satya (more than human)’ is another movie to be released on December 5.
The second week i.e December 12 will see ‘Orakhada – (the scratch)’, a movie directed by Ramesh Surve. The cast includes Samir Dharmadhikari, Pravin Patil and debutant Archana. Also releasing would be ‘Tandala (ek mukhavata)’, a movie based on journalist Suresh Dadashivar’s novel. Madhuri Ashirgade produced and Sanjay Surkar directed.
‘Mahasatta’ will also be released. The film was shown at the Goa Film Festival and has been chosen at Indian Panorama. Avinash Narkar, Arun Nalawade and Ashwini Ekbote play the main roles in the movie.
December 19 will see the release of Milind Lele’s ‘Manya Sajanna’. Makarand Anaspure first time play a double role in the movie. Movies by Sumitra Bhave and Sunil Sukthankar will follow this.
Many other small budget movies will also be released this month..
