Gajendra Ahire’s flm ‘Hodi’ (Dear Molly) to be released on 1st July

Renowned director Gajendra Ahire who has directed many quality Marathi films, is now getting ready to release his latest film Hodi (Dear Molly) which will also be released in Hindi and English languages besides Marathi. Recently, the poster of this film was released recently and it has become clear that Gurbani Gill, Alok Rajwade, Mrunmayee Godbole, Ashwini Giri, Liya Boysen and Christer Holmgren in lead roles.

Speaking about his film, Gajendra Ahire says, ” For the past few days I was waiting for the announcement of release date of this film and now the date has been announced. This film is a family film based on a beautiful delicate relationship. All my films have been on social issues and I enjoy making films on the ‘out of the box’ subjects.”
‘Hodi’ (‘Dear Molly’) is presented by Manmohan Shetty and Ganesh Jain and produced by Pravin Nischal and Ratan Jain. Cinematography is by Krishna Sorren.
Milind Kavde’s ‘Takatak 2′ to be released on 19th August
After offering a super hit ‘Takatak (टकाटक)’ three years ago, director Milind Kavde‘s much-awaited sequel ‘Takatak 2′ has been announced jointly by Reliance Entertainment and Purple Blue Entertainment . This film will be released on 19th August 2022 all over Maharashtra. The film will see Prathamesh Parab in the lead once again, accompanied by Akshay Kelkar, Ajinkya Raut, Bhumika Kadam, Pranali Bhalerao, Komal Bodkhe, Sushant Divekar, Swapnil Rajeshirke, Kiran Mane, Pankaj Vishnu, Kiran Baird, RJ Mahesh Kale, Smita Dongre and others.

According to the makers of this film, While the original was a wild and rib-tickling entertainer, the new part is touted to be a bolder and bigger bonanza of laughs.
Talking about his film, director Milind Kavde says, “If Takatak tickled your funny bone, the second part will make you guffaw even more. We have kept the soul of the original intact while bringing a sassier feel to the story, taking the humour one step further.” Filmed in the serene locales of Goa, sources close to the crew reveal that an exclusive sneak peek of the movie is about to drop soon. If the love for the first film is anything to go by, audiences might just have found their next favourite comedy with ‘Takatak 2′.
With story and screenplay by director Milind Kavde and dialogues by Kiran Berad and Sanjay Navgire, music is by Varun Likhte and lyrics by Jay Atre, cinematography by Hazrat Sheikh Wali and Background Music by Abhinay Jagtap are the other credits of this film.
Dipak Karanjikar to receive ICON award

Renowned Marathi veteran Actor, writer and director Dipak Karanjikar will receive Janasthan ICON award in Nashik. This award will be presented to him for his efforts to popularize and staging Marathi dramas all over India and outside India. Besides holding important posts in administrative and non administrative services, he has promoted our Indian culture in the best way . Along with Deepak Karanjikar two other personalities, namely Vinayak Ranade and Prakash Holkar will also be felicitated for their contribution in promoting Marathi literature abroad.
The awards will be presented by well known Poet Ashok Bagwe at a special grand ceremony on 22nd June in Nashik. Ashwini Bagal is creating some projects in self production

Actress Ashwini Bagal, who has managed to grab attention of Marathi audience through films and video albums . Having done a music album ‘Usasoon Alanya Mann’, Ashwini has acted in the series ‘Total Hublak’ on Zee Marathi channel. Now, in the upcoming Marathi film ‘Bhirkit’ directed by Anup Jagadale she will be seen in a pivotal role and she hopes that her role in this film will be well received by the audience as well as the critics.

Kumar Sohoni’s new Marathi play ‘Hastaa Ha Savtaa’

It may be recalled that Simmi has made significant contributions to Southern films to this day. Following in the footsteps of veteran Hindi singers, Salman has also made his debut in Marathi cinema. The film ‘Anya’, which was made in Hindi along with Marathi, has fulfilled Salman Ali’s desire to sing in a Marathi film. Salman has also sung the Marathi song ‘Aik Pakhra …’ in Marathi. The song is written by Prashant Jamadar and Sajeev Sarathi and the composer Raamnath has successfully fulfilled the responsibility of composing melodious music.
