During every festive occasion, our Marathi artistes dress up traditionally to either promote their film or tv serial. Many a times, we find such occasions celebrated in most of our Marathi serials, to win the hearts of the home viewers watching their serial. This also brings them closer to their admirers. Festivals like Holi, Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali are the best examples to show active participation of the Marathi artistes.

We are all aware of the importance of Gudi Padwa , which is the beginning of new year for Hindus. In Maharashtra Gudi Padwa is celebrated in every Maharastrian household by preparing sweets, while some people dress up for the occasion in traditional clothes and join the colourful procession to celebrate the festival. This year in Girgaon, we saw actor Swapnil Joshi leading the procession along with Amruta Khanvilkar, Siddharth Chandekar and Madhura Deshpande who are his co stars in upcoming TV serial ‘Jivalaga’ on Star Pravah channel. And this proved to be the best promotion of their serial, as they saw good response from their well wishers.
