Veteran Marathi actor Ravi Patwardhan is no more
Popular veteran Marathi actor Ravi Patwardhan is no more. He passed away due to heart failure yesterday night at his residence in Thane. He was 83. He is survived by his wife, sons, daughters in law, daughter, son in law and grandchildren. Born on 6th September 1937 Ravi Patwardhan had a long career in acting and remained active through ongoing Marathi serial ‘Agabai Sasubai’. He had only taken a break from shooting, due to spread of corona virus.
Ravi Patwardhan began his acting career while he was in Reserve Bank and took part in Inter Bank Drama Competitions, inviting the attention of many Commercial Drama producers and film makers during that period. He performed in 150 plays and more than 200 Marathi and Hindi films. Recently, he had become very popular with his role of grandfather through the ongoing serial ‘Agabai Sasubai’. After hearing the sad news of his death, Many prominent personalities from different fields have expressed their deep condolences to his family members.
