Pratiksha Mungekar to star opposite Amol Kagne in the film ‘Babo’
Pratiksha Mungekar who plays a negative character of Kiyara in the popular ongoing TV serial ‘Ghadge & Suun‘ will now be seen in the lead role opposite Amol Kagne in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Babo’ directed by Ramesh Baburao Choudhari. While Pratiksha has already done two films ‘Vida Ek Sangharsh‘ and ‘Matang‘, Amol has been the presenter of sensible Marathi films like ‘Halaal‘,’Lathe Joshi‘ and ‘Perfume‘.
A student of Lalit Kala Kendra, Pune, Amol has performed in 26 plays. In this film ‘Babo‘ Pratiksha plays a character of a fun-loving but sensible young girl from a rich family, while Amol belongs to a middle-class family. The film presents their love story which has opposition from family members. Presented by Malhar Film Creations, this film is expected to offer a youthful story in a humorous way.
Producer Amol Kagne to make his acting debut through ‘Monsoon Football’
Having been associated as a producer , assistant director and presenter with films like ‘Halaal‘, ‘Lathe Joshi‘, ‘31 October‘ & ‘Perfume‘, Amol Kagne is all set to make his acting debut through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Monsoon Football‘ directed by Milind Ukey. In this film, Amol will be playing a Gujarati husband of one of the women football lovers, who are all housewives and play this game in traditional Indian sarees.
Besides Amol Kagne, the film has strong star cast comprising of Sagarika Ghatge, Chitrashi Rawat, Vidya Malavade, Delnaz Irani & Usha Naik. Amol Kagne has worked very hard for this role. With the help of his make up man he learnt Gujarati language and accent and also increased his weight by 6 kgs. Director Milind Ukey is also impressed by the efforts taken by this producer turned actor and was also all praise for his performance in this film.
Amol has studied Theatre art from Lalit Kala Kendra of Pune University and till now he has produced 26 plays and 4 films.
‘Lathe Joshi’ to travel to Taiwan & Russia
Marathi film ‘Lathe Joshi‘ which was presented by Amol Kagne has won about 20 awards at various National and international film festivals . The film will now travel to Taiwan & Russia. In Taiwan, the film has been selected in the 58th Asia Pacific Film festival , while in Russia it will be screened at the Sakhlin International film festival.
Directed by Mangesh Joshi, the film had already received critical acclaims from media persons as well as from sensible audience after its official release. Speaking about the selection of the film at Taiwan and Russian film festivals, presented Amol kagne seemed extremely happy. After ‘Halal‘ this was our second film which dealt with an important social issue, which has been appreciated by film lovers all over the world. The film stars Chittaranjan Giri, Ashwini Giri, Om Bhutkar, Seva Chauhan & Ajit Abhyankar.
