‘Masuta’ all set to release on 24th Feb
New Marathi film ‘Masuta’, which claims to offer a unique story is all set to release on 24 February 2023 across Maharashtra. A Kashibai Films Production and Saisagar Productions, ‘Masuta’ is produced by Bharat More and Manesh Lodha. Ajit Dewale and Sunil Shinde are the associate producers of the film. Ajit Devale , who is a co producer ,has also directed and edited this film. The film presents a story of a certain class of the society. Various social messages have also been given through this film. This film has so far made its mark in many film festivals in the country and abroad.
Speaking about his film, Director Devle said, “ ‘Masuta’ is a story of family belonging to a certain class, it is a thoroughly entertaining film. Quality production, relevant lyrics and melodious musical touch are added to it. Leading actors who work in Marathi as well as Hindi and other artists have given excellent performances. The biggest strength of this film is the impactful screenplay throughout the movie. I am sure that this film which was shot on realistic locations, will give a realistic experience to the audience.”
Screenplay of this film is written by Bharat More while Anil Raut has written the dialogues. Actors like Anant Jog, Nagesh Bhosale, Hridaynath Rane, Riyaz Mulani, Archana Mahadev, Vaishali Kendale, Kanchan Pagare, Yash More cpmprise the starcast of this film. Lyrics and Music are by Avinash Patil and Sunil Mhatre. Adarsh Shinde, Aboli Girhe, Avinash Patil have sung the songs in this film and the costume design has been done by Chaitrali Dongre. DOP Dilshad V. A. has done the cinematography and Background music is given by Pinaki Roy.
Anand L Rai & Kshiti Jog announce ‘Jhimma 2′
After the success of their Marathi film ‘Jhimma’ one year ago,producers Anand L Rai and Kshiti Jog have announced their next film ‘Jhimma 2′ through a video on social media. In this video Nirmiti Sawant is seen asking for permission from Anant Jog to go on a tour. In this sequel Nirmiti is asked by Anant Jog to take her daughter-in-law along with her. So, it remains to be seen who will play her daughter in law and whether other tour friends will be the same or different group.
Directed by Hemant Dhome, this part 2 of ‘Jhimma’ will be presented by Anand L Rai and Colour Yellow Productions. Speaking about this film, Hemant said that after the success of ‘Jhimma’ , he has been approached by many women, who enquired about the sequel. This time, there was more fun making this part 2 and I am sure the audience will enjoy it. Producer Anand L Rai said that he was more than happy to be associated with this team and added that they could pass a good message through their film and therefore decided to to make part 2.
‘Aatta Bass’ will be the strong voice of common man
Through some successful Bollywood films we have heard the strong voice of a common man fighting against injustice. And the best example was the film ‘Wednesday’. Not that Marathi film makers were not able to raise such voice. They just couldn’t find a strong script. Now, producers Sandeep Patil, Adv. Pandit Rathod & Alankrit Rathod are offering a Marathi film ‘Aatta Bass’ which will present the power of common Man.
Directed by Shirish Rane and produced by Sandeep Patil, Ad. Pandit Rathod, Alankit Rathod the poster and ‘Vande Mataram’ song of this film was released recently in presence of distinguished guests and popular film personalities like Santosh Juvekar, Vidyadhar Joshi, Sunil Barve, Abhijit Panse, Pushkar Shrotri, Pradeep Patwardhan and others, who are part of this title song. This song penned by Subodh Pawar is composed by ‘Chak De India’ fame Krushna Barua and music is by Vijay Gatlewar.

After inviting attention at Film fests ‘Ek Hota Pani’ gets ready for release on 10th May
Good Marathi films are known for their strong script. Ashish Ningurkar the Freelance Journalist and writer is also part of this Marathi film industry, who has been throwing light on social issues. ‘Ek Hota Pani’ wins three awards
Marathi Journalist turned actor- script writer Ashish Ningurkar made his debut into Marathi films through ‘Rairand‘ two years ago. The film was based on the social issue of child labour and did receive good response from critics at some film festivals. Now, through his next film ‘Ek Hota Pani‘ Ashish Ningurkar has offered another social issue of water.
Produced under the banner of New talent Search and directed by Rohan Satghare, this film is also receiving a good response at film festivals. At the recently held first Ahmednagar International Film festival ‘Ek Hota Pani‘ has won three awards. Renowned veteran actor Anant Jog has received the award for best negative role, while the makers have won the Best film on social issue award. The third award for this film was received for best Poster.

Writer Ashish Ningurkar stands tall with ‘Rairand’
Till last year, besides managing his job, young Ashish Ningurkar worked as a freelance Journalist and was regularly seen at various press shows and film functions. This brought him closer to some of the film makers, who encouraged him to write lyrics for their films. But, that was not enough for Ashish Ningurkar. He even made some short films, with interesting subjects. Finally, he wrote a script of the film ‘Rairand‘, besides writing lyrics and playing an important role in it.
Soon, the shooting of the film ‘Rairand‘ began and now the film is being shown at various international film festivals. At the 4th Noida International film fest, this film won the Special Excellence Award, while in Indian World Film Festival at Hyderabad the film bagged Special Festival mention Award. In the forthcoming Nashik International Film festival, this film has found its entry with ‘Official selection’ and on this happy occasion, the film released its promo officially on 23rd March 2017.

Music release of film ‘Rairand’ held in Chinchwad
We have been hearing about music releases of Marathi films either being held in Mumbai, Pune or other big cities of Maharashtra. But, the music release of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Rairand‘ was held in Chinchwad, Pune, that too on the platform of Pimpri Chinchwad Mahanagar Salesman Union. While releasing the music of this film, Beti Bachao Andolan Chief Dr. Ganesh Rakh said that if the child labour turn towards education, after watching this film, it will be a biggest award for this film, which will be much bigger than the Oscars. Many dignitaries along with the entire star cast of this film were present on this occasion.
‘Rairand‘ has been produced by New Talent Search Movies and Samruddhi Movies and was shot in Puntamba in Nagar District of Maharashtra. The film throws light on the lives of Wanderers and child labourers in Maharashtra . There are two songs in this film, penned by Ashish Ningurkar and Bhavesh Londhe and music has been provided by Vikas Joshi. The film stars Anant Jog, Ranjit Kamble, Shyamkumar Shrivastav, Ashish Ningurkar, Karan Kadam, Anand Wagh, Ajit Pawar, Pravin Bhabal, Sunil Jain, Suresh Dabhade, Rekha Nirmal, Gorakh Pathare, Zakir Khan, Nana Shinde, Santosh Choradia and Anurag Ningurkar.
Speaking about this film, writer Asish Ningurkar said, “Music plays very important role in Marathi films. And I am sure, the two songs in this film would appeal to the audience. Subject of this film being on social issue, we will be visiting foreign countries, to create awareness about this film’s subject among Marathi people living abroad. “
Siya Patil returns with Marathi film ‘Garbh’
Siya Patil, who made her debut in Marathi films six years ago through ‘Chal Gammat Karu‘, was later seen in films like ‘Chal Dhar Pakad‘, ‘Navra Avali Baiko Lovely‘ & ‘IPL Premacha Lafada‘, will now be returning in a lead role through forthcoming Marathi film ‘Garbh‘. It may be recalled that before taking up her acting career, Siya was a sports fanatic, being a black belt in Karate and a national level Volleyball player and state level basketball player.
Through this film RJ Dilip, will also be making his debut in Marathi films. ‘Garbh‘ will be a family social film, produced by Rajendra Atole and directed by Subhash Ghorpade. The other artistes of this film are, Kishori Shahane, Anant Jog and Yatin Karyekar.
Recently, this film was launched with song recording , when the artistes of this film and technical people were present. Many well known singers like Vaishali Samant along with Swapnil Bandodkar, Vaishali Made & Neha Rajpal are rendering their voices for the songs penned by Arun Kulkarni on the music of Ashok Waigankar. The story of this film is written by Ramesh Tiwari.
Namrata Gaikwad impresses in the teaser of ‘Zari’
Producer Radha Bidkar and director Raju Meshram are making a film ‘Zari’, which is based on a real life incident. Recently the poster and teaser of this film was unveiled in presence of dignitaries like Finance Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Sudhir Munguntiwar and other Ministers of state, MLA’s Neelam Gorhe and others , along with artistes from the film Anant Jog, Milind Shinde, Tukaram Bidkar, Nisha Parulekar, Namrata Gaikwad, & Aniket Kelkar. In the teaser of the film, it is only Namrata Gaikwad, who clearly indicates that the film revolves around her character.
This film throws light on a very sensitive issue of exploitation of women in remote areas of Vidarbha region. The director of the film is confident that through this film, he will be able to invite the attention of administration, to provide necessary facilities to this region and pay attention, to protect the women folks in this region, from sexual abuse by the local landlords. The film has also tried to show, how these poor people, revolt against the injustice on them. Now, we only hope that all these politicians, who were present for this function, also watch this film and take necessary steps, to stop these attrocities on women, in such regions.
