Grand Trailer and Music launch of Marathi film ‘Lokshahi’
After raising curiosity about their film since the launch of their film’s poster recently, the makers of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Lokshahi’ have now released the grand trailer and also launched the music of this film. The trailer of the film gives the glimpse of a political thriller and the music of this film is receiving good response on social media.
But, the most interesting thing about this film is its star cast, which comprises of well known versatile artistes who are involved in this power struggle in politics. During the grand trailer and music launch Producer of this film Mr. Sushilkumar Agrawal was present along with lead artistes of this film Dr. Mohan Agashe, Tejashree Pradhan, Amitriyan Patil and others. This film is directed by Sanjay Amar with the music provided by Sanjay- Raji. Besides Dr. Mohan Agashe, Tejashree Pradhan, Amit Riyan the film also stars Dr. Girish Oak, Bhargavi Chirmule, Samir Dharmadhikari and others in prominent roles.
‘Babu Sheth’ to appear on big screen from 1st April
Ankt Mohan’s action filled Marathi film ‘Babu’ will be released in theatres from 1st April 2022. Playing the title role of Babu Sheth , Ankit Mohan has lot of scope to present his action sequences on big screen. The teaser of this film was released recently, which gives clear idea of his strong character suited the strong physique of Ankit Mohan.
Along with Ankit Mohan the film also stars Ruchira Jadhav , Neha Mahajan in lead roles. Produced by Shri Krupa Productions, this film is produced by Babu Krishna Bhoir and directed by Mayur Madhukar Shinde. The film is set on the backdrop of a Aagri – Koli village and is a fight against injustice.

Neha Mahajan joins as lead actress in Marathi film ‘Babu’
Few days back, we had covered the news about poster launching of new Marathi film ‘Babu’ starring Ankit Mohan in lead role along with Ruchira Jadhav. The action scenes of Ankit in this film had also become viral on social media , soon thereafter, clearly indicating that this will be an action filled film. .Produced by Babu K Bhoir and Directed by Mayur Madhukar Shinde the shooting of this film is presently in progress.

Now, the fresh news is that Neha Mahajan has joined the team of ‘Babu’ as lead actress, besides Ankit and Ruchira. Neha has already impressed with her performances in Marathi, Hindi and English films and therefore her entry into this film , is a big news for her fans. Her new look in this film has also become viral on social media, raising curiosity about her role in this film. But, what type of character she will be playing in this film, has not been disclosed so far. This announcement is expected to be made soon.

Ankit Mohan who attained popularity in Marathi film industry with his performance in ‘Farzand’ (Movie Review), is now playing title role in forthcoming Marathi film ‘Babu’ produced by Babu K Bhoir and directed Mayur Madhukar Shinde. Filled with lot of action and entertainment, the shooting of this film had begun few days back after the muhurat and now the shooting of this film is in full swing with lead actor involved in many action scenes, which he is performing himself.
Speaking about his role, Ankit says, “This character of Babu is very close to me, as there is a lot of similarity between me and this character. Therefore, I didn’t have to work hard while playing this character. However, for action scenes, I have taken lot of efforts. Having already learnt Martial arts and Kalaripayattu, it has helped me a lot in these action scenes. While doing a historical character you have weapon in your hands, but for the kind of action scenes in this film, I had to make use of my hands as weapons. But, you need to take care while doing such action scenes. And, I really enjoyed doing them.”
With Ankit his lead actress Ruchira Jadhav was also present in some scenes. This action film will be released soon.
Ankit Mohan in and as ‘Babu’
Only few days ago krupa Productions released the first poster of their film ‘Babu’ which showed a strong fearless young man standing with confidence on a boat in the sea during a storm. So there was a curiosity to know the identity of this young man. Now, the makers of this film have announced his name and he is dashing and handsome Ankit Mohan, who will be playing this title role in the film.
Ankit is not new to Marathi film lovers. He has been part of many big banner historical Marathi films. Moreover, he is also a popular Hindi TV star. Recently, the muhurat of this film was performed when the poster of his new look was unveiled. Present during this muhurat ceremony were Gayatri Datar, Ruchira Jadhav, Director Mayur Madhukar Shinde, Producer Babu K Bhoir and the entire team of ‘Babu’.
Anuja Sathe to play title role in bilingual web series
Talented Marathi actress Anuja Sathe Gokhale who was seen in Marathi and Hindi films in prominent roles since last 6 years, will now play title role in forthcoming bilingual web series ‘EkThi Begum’, which is a revenge story set on the backdrop of 1980 period.
Anuja plays the character of Ashraf Bhatkar alias Sapna, who takes the revenge against Don Maksud (Ajay Gehi), who is behind the death of her husband Zahir (Ankit Mohan). Directed by Sachin Darekar , this web series will be available for free viewing on MX Player from 8th April 2020.
Recently, the trailer of this film was released. Speaking about her role in this series, Anuja says, “Till now we have only heard about the male Mafia/Don , but now, you will see a story of a woman who turns Mafia Queen, to take the revenge of her husband’s death”. Along with Anuja and Ankit this series stars Chinmay Mandlekar, Rajendra Shirsatkar, Resham, Abhijit Chavan, Pradeep Doitode, Vithal Kale, Nazar Khan, Vijay Nikam, Anil Nagarkar, Suchit Jadhav, Raju Athavale, & Santosh Juvekar in prominent roles.

Popular Marathi Actress Mrunmayee Pratibha Deshpande who has turned writer- director through latest released Marathi film ‘Mann Fakiraa’ clearly displays her creativity as a director through this film by handling the most important subject of “marriage” in her own style. As a teenager Mrunmayee has had a good experience of writing and directing experimental plays at competitive level, but directing a film was a big challenge before her and she has passed this test.
The film revolves around a newly married couple Riya ( Sayali Sanjeev) and Bhushan (Suvrat Joshi) who come together through arranged marriage. Both of them have had relationship with their respective partners, but failed to convert that relationship into marriage. While Bhushan was in relationship with Mahi( Anjali Patil) during his trip to London , Riya was in love with Nachiket( Ankit Mohan) .
On the first night of their marriage, during their first sexual intercourse, in excitement Bhushan utters the name of Mahi. And this is enough for Riya to walk out of his house next morning. Four days later she insists on meeting Bhushan , when she asks for explanation about Bhushan’s relationship with Mahi. At the same time she demands divorce. She however tells Bhushan that even though she had relationship with her friend Nachiket, she has totally forgotten him as there was no contact with him after he left for London. After verbal fights, both decide to make their families happy for the time being , by announcing that they were proceeding for honeymoon to London. Actually, both decide to meet their respective lovers who coincidentally live in London.
After landing in London their new journey begins in different directions. What they experience and how it benefits both of them, is what writer- director Mrunmayee Deshpande has cleverly presented through this film through her own perspective. In an interesting screenplay she has found good help from DOP Abhijit Abde, who has coordinated very well using variety of shots to make this subject more appealing. Many scenes of this film have been shot at beautiful locations of London, which also gives a different look to this film.
The best part of this film are the performances of the four lead artistes, namely Suvrat Joshi, Sayali Sanjeev, Anjali Patil and Ankit Mohan. More impressive among them is Anjali Patil, who steals the show in every scene she is part of and she sports different hairstyles, well suited to a typical NRI and independent type of happy go lucky girl. The actress has already made her impression in Bollywood and it will not be surprising if she invites all the attention at international level with her dusky complexion and expressive eyes. Perfect costumes designed by Sachin Lovlekar ,suitable music by Soumil and Siddharth , ideal sound design by Ganesh Phuke, good editing by Pravin Jahagirdar and Gayatri Shinde’s art help to make this film more presentable. Certainly a worth watch film for all sensible film lovers.
Mrunmayee and ‘Mann Fakira’ stars begin their film’s promotion on roads
Actress turned director Mrunmayee Deshpande and her lead stars of the film ‘Mann Fakira’ have started the promotion of their film on Mumbai and Pune roads by carrying the banners to make an appeal to film lovers not to miss their film. Their film is all set to release on 6th March. So, this kind of promotion is helping them to closely interact with the prospective audience . And the film lovers have also responded them positively.
Now, how it will help them invite them to cinema theatres, it remains to be seen. The locations selected for this road show by the artistes were Vile Parle and Andheri areas in Mumbai and Good Luck hotel and Deccan Gymkhana in Pune. Besides Suvrat Joshi and Sayali Sanjeev the film also stars Anjali Patil and Ankit Mohan.

Marathi film ‘Mann Fakiraa’ to be released this ‘Valentine’s Day’
First teaser of the Marathi film ‘Mann Fakiraa’ was recently unveiled on the Social media by the producer S N Productions and Smita Vinay Ganu, Nitin Prakash Vaidya, Om Prakash Bhatt, Sanjay Shankarwar and Kishor Patel. This film , which is a romantic drama is being released on the Valentine’s Day on February 14, 2020. This film will be the directorial debut of leading Marathi actress Mrunmayee Pratibha Deshpande.
Suvrat Joshi, Sayali Sanjeev, Anjali Patil and Ankit Mohan will be in the lead roles in the film. It’s a story of a dilemma between newly married couple and their past life. ‘They love each other or not…? Yes, they do…no, perhaps not…,’ the tagline of the films waves on these lines. The teaser reveals more facts about the film and the story which revolves around very delicate relationship between the two. The teaser also throws light on the fact that it deals with the subject which would be very close to the hearts of today’s youth.
