New Marathi film ‘Faas’ talks about the life of farmers
Marathi films have been inviting all the attention at various international film festivals, for handling many social issues connected with people from different sectors. India being the country predominantly represented by farmers, their issues are very important. New Marathi film ‘Faas (फास)’ talks about the life of those farmers and speaks about the alarming increase in the rate of suicides by farmers. This film which has won about 150 awards at various international film festivals will be released on 4th February 2022.
Maheshwari Patil Chakurkar has made this film under the banner of Maa Entertainment and is Directed by Avinash Kolte. The film has already won appreciation at the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes as well as the festivals organised in neighbouring counties like Japan, Paris besides Noida and Rajasthan in India.
Upendra Limaye, Sayaji Shinde, Kamlesh Sawant, Pallavi Palkar, Ganesh Chandanshive, Navdev Patil, Nilesh Bade, Dhyanesh Undagavkar, Umesh Rajhans, Sharad Kakade, Ishwar More, Pawan Vaidya, Vinay Joshi, Deva Pandey, Pooja Tayade, Tejaswini, Madhuri Bharati and Shrutika Londhe have played prominent roles in the film.
Story, dialogues of ‘Faas’ are written by Maheshwari Patil Chakurkar, while Avinash Kolte has penned the screenplay for the film. Ramani Ranjan Das has cranked the camera as the DOP of the film while Apoorva Motiwale and Aashish Mhatre have edited the film. Santosh Samudre has done the art direction while music director Allen K.P has composed the songs written by lyricist Amol Deshmukh.
