सध्या अॅनिमेशन सिनेमे बच्चे कंपनी बरोबरच मोठ्यांच्यासुद्धापसंतीस उतरत आहेत. ह्या सिनेमांची लोकप्रियता दिवसेंदिवस वाढत आहे.
‘Koti’ creates a buzz at Film Festivals
Known for their extraordinary content, Marathi films have already won the hearts of film lovers all over the world. Now, one such film which has garnered appreciation in many national and international film festivals is OMS Arts’ Marathi film ‘Koti’, which is set to release soon.
Barring a few exceptions, such a story on transgenders has not come in Marathi films and ‘Koti’ has made a mark with this unusual subject. Child actor Adnyesh Mudshingkar , Divesh Medge, actor Sanjay Kulkarni, and actress Vinita Kale have played important roles in this film . Om arts Productions Dr. Santosh Pote and Dr. Sunita Pote have produced this film directed by Suhas Bhosle, who recently garnered appreciation for his film on sand trafficking mafia called ‘Reti’.
‘Koti’ has already won many awards including Indian Film Festival of India (IFFI) in the Indian Panorama category, and received a huge response after the Indian Government sent its entry. The film has also won Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Jury award, Sanskruti Kaladarpan Puraskar Award for Special Attention Film Award, along with four other awards in the same Puraskars, and five awards at Kolhapur Film Festival.
The script of the film is by Rajesh Durge, the DOP is Bharat R Parthsarathi , music by Manoj Negi & Baban Adgale, along with background music & lyrics by Sanjay Navgire. This different ‘genre’ of film s all set to release soon.
‘Disco Sannya’ getting ready to release in June 2016
A forthcoming Marathi film titled ‘Disco Sannya’ from Vakav Films, is now ready for screening. According to the sources, the film is set to release during June 2016.
‘Disco Sanya’ is the first production by Vakav Films. The title of this film has already raised curiosity among Marathi film lovers, as the promotional song of the film has been rendered by eminent singer Avadhoot Gupte. Mr. Sachin Purohit and Mr. Abhijeet Kawthalkar have produced the film with Niyaj Mujawar as Director of the film. The lyrics by Niyaz Mujawar have been set to lilting tunes by Abhijit Kawthalkar and Sachin Purohit. Eminent singers Adarsh Shinde, Nandesh Umap, Rishabh Purohit and Shabab Sabari have rendered these songs.
The Story and Screenplay have been penned by Niyaz Mujawar, Sachin Purohit and Abhijit Kawthalkar with dialogues by Niyaz Mujawar. Sandeep Patil is DOP, Bhowmik Shah has choreographed the film and Siddhartha Tatuskar is the Art Director. Costumes have been designed by Ms. Purti Kulkarni and Make up by Mr. Santosh Gilbile.
A total secrecy has been maintained by the filmmakers, about the story as well as the cast of the film, for the time being. However, one thing is sure that there has been a huge curiosity in the minds of the viewers about what is ‘Disco Sannya’ in reality?

Veteran actor Ramesh Deo to sponsor 50 shows of ‘Cindrella’ for Orphanage children
The grand old man of Marathi and Hindi cinema Mr. Ramesh Deo is still active at the age of 86. He is the only actor in the world, who is still active, performing in the films for the past 64 years. Last week , he was shooting for a film, at a college in kandivali.On Tuesday evening, he was present as the chief guest for the music release of Kiran Nakti’s forthcoming Marathi film ‘Cindrella’. One never expected him to speak for more than 3 minutes; but the evergreen actor, spoke at length, praising the efforts of the film maker, to make a film on two orphan children.
Mr. Ramesh Deo, not only entertained the invitees, with his humour filled speech; but when veteran actress Meena Naik , who is also part of this film, suggested him to come forward to finance such films, in future, the ever smiling actor, quickly responded with a fine gesture. Mr. Deo agreed to sponsor 50 shows of this film, to the children from different orphanages in Maharashtra. He was all praise for the two child artistes Rupesh Bane and Yashasvi Vengurlekar, who were present on the occasion and appreciated the perfect choice of the the director, to cast them for these roles. After watching the first look of this film, he compared the film , with the standard of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and hoped this film also to win Oscars.
The film revolves around little brother and sister, who turn orphans, after demise of their grandmother and have to face tough challenges in life. Newcomers Kiran and Gaurav have provided the music to this film, story of which is penned by Kiran Nakti along with Aditya Halbe. Produced by Abhinay Katta and Krupa Sindhu Pictures in collaboration with Shree Sankalp Film Productions, the other important artistes of this film are Yakub Syed, Janardan Parab , Mangesh Desai and ‘Chala Hawa Yeu Dya’ fame Vineet Bhonde. The film is all set to release on 4th December 2015.
‘Cindrella’ goes to South Carolina
Director Kiran Nakti’s forthcoming Marathi film ‘Cindrella’, has already created a buzz, before its official release. Now, the big news for the makers is that this film has been selected for screening at the South Carolina Underground Film Festival(SCUFF), which begins on 14th November 2015 at Charleston, South Carolina.
The film presents an interesting tale of a distinctive relationship of a brother and sister. So, it will be curious to know, how the story of this film relates to the famous fairy tale. There is already talk about the performances debutant child artistes Rupesh Bane & Yashasvi Vengurlekar in this film. But, Mangesh Desai is also playing an important role in this film, along with veteran artistes Yakub Saeed and Janardan Parab. Well known cinematographer Raja Phadtare has handled the camera work of this film, which will be released on 4th December 2015, all over Maharashtra.
Children’s film ‘Aatli Baatli Futli’ to release on 24th April
As you sow, so shall you reap. The proper upbringing of the children, helps in the long run, to make them good citizens of future. Producer Supriya Chavan has taken efforts to make one such film, suitably titled ‘Aatli Baatli Futli’, to convey a timely message on this issue. The film is all set to release on 24th April 2015.
Directed by Amol Padave, this entertaining film, is targeted at children, so as to groom them with good morals . The film has many new faces of child artistes, comprising of Sharayu Sonavane, Viraj rane, Aditya Kavale, Anay Patil, Shreyali Vahane, Poorva Shah, Jeevan karalkar, Vibhav Borkar & Sameha Sabnis. Popular singer Avadhoot Gupte and Swapnil Bandodkar have rendered their voices for songs in this film. Cinematography of this film is by renowned cinematographer K. Aniket.
