Today Lata Didi (legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar) is not amongst us, but her songs will always remain close to our hearts. Watching and reading the tributes paid by many people on social media is the best example of the kind of impact her voice had on music lovers over the years. Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar passed away
Legendary singer, Bharat rantra Lata Mangeshkar, popularly known as Sangeet Swarsamradni (संगीत स्वरसम्राज्ञी ) Latadidid, has passed away today. She was 92 years old. She has been undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai for the past few days.
Lata Mangeshkar was infected with corona on January 8. She was experiencing mild symptoms of coronary heart disease. She was also diagnosed with pneumonia. She was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital for treatment. She was admitted to the ICU. He was taken out of the ventilator on January 28 after her condition started improving. However, on 5th February, due to ill health, She was put on ventilator again. But during the treatment, she lost her life.
Her voice which has been pouring rain on the minds of Indians for more than eight decades. Mourning has spread everywhere due to the demise of Latadidi. Heartfelt tributes are being paid to her from all levels, from the President to the Prime Minister.

‘Mee Vasantrao’ ready for release on 1st April
The biopic on legend of Hindustani Classical music Pandit Vasantrao Deshpande (मी वसंतराव) is now ready for release on 1st April 2022 on the auspicious occasion of Gudhi Padwa. Presented by Jio Studios, produced by Chandrashekhar Gokhale, Darshan Desai and Niranjan Kirloskar this film is directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari and stars Rahul Deshpande , grandson of Vasantrao Deshpande, in lead role. Along with Rahul Dehpande, the film also stars Anita Date, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Kaumudi Valokar and Amey Wagh in lead roles.
Besides playing title role, Rahul Deshpande has also provided music for this film. Speaking about his film, Rahul says, “The dream I saw 9 years ago, is being fulfilled through the release of this film. I am really thankful to my friends Nipun, Shekhar, Shrikant, Niranjan and other friends who took lot of efforts in making of this film.” Director Nipun Dharmadhikari also feels that the hard work by his entire team for the past 9 years, is finally watching the results. “I am sure the audience will appreciate this film,” he said.
‘Dharmveer’ will be a biopic on the life of Anand Dighe
Inspired by the ideology of Late Balasaheb Thackeray , Anand Dighe had established himself as the most efficient Shiv Sena leader in Thane region. Now, there will a biopic on the life of Anand Dighe, suitably titled ‘Dharmaveer (धर्मवीर)’ motion poster of which was launched on social media recently. Well Known Stage, television and film actor Mangesh Desai, has produced this film under the banner of Sahil Motion Pictures.
This film is written and directed by ‘Deool Band (देऊळ बंद )’ [movie review], and ‘Mulshi Pattern (मुळशी पॅटर्न)’ [movie review] fame Pravin Tarde. Kedar Gaikwad is the cinematographer of this film. Till now, it is not known who will be playing the title role of Anand Dighe in this film. Renowned veteran Marathi actor Ramesh Deo is no more
Renowned veteran Marathi actor Ramesh Deo is no more. He passed away yesterday due to heart failure. He was 93. Ramesh Deo worked in 190 Marathi films and 285 Hindi films during his acting career of almost 65 years. He was the senior most Marathi actor who was active till 2019. Always cheerful, he attended many events, wherever he was invited and gave inspiring speeches.
Ramesh Deo had his own production company and produced Marathi films and TV serials. He also produced many advertisement films through his company. In January 2013, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 11th Pune International Film Festival (PIFF). Ramesh Deo married his former co star Seema and has two sons Ajinkya and Abhinay. Double celebration for ‘Jhimma’
Marathi film ‘Jhimma’ which was released on 19th November 2021 is celebrating 75 days successful celebration in theatres. ‘Thipkyanchi Rangoli’ celebrates 100 successful episodes
Popular Marathi serial ‘Thipkyanchi Rangoli’ on Star Pravah completed 100 episodes last week. Known for promoting the Joint happy family culture and set on the backdrop of Nashik city, this serial directed by Girish Mohite had invited very good response among home viewers in all age groups. This is mainly because of the representation of different age groups in the form of various characters played by combination of new and experienced talented artistes.
The highlight of celebrating the 100 episodes coincided with the marriage ceremony of the lead characters Shashank Kanitkar and Apoorva Vartak played by Chetan Wadnere and Dnyanada Ramtirthkar and the arrival of Apoorva’s mother Dr. Anjali from USA. Madhura Velankar Satam returns to television with a challenging role
Renowned Marathi stage- television and film actress Madhura Velankar Satam is back on small screen. This time she plays the mother of an 18 year old daughter, in the ongoing popular Marathi serial ‘Tumchi Mulgi Kaay Karte? (तुमची मुलगी काय करते?)’ which is aired on Sony Liv Marathi.
Talented, versatile actress that she is, Madhura has found this strong central character of Ms. Shraddha Mirajkar in this thrilling serial on a timely subject. The serial shows the concern of a mother- a school teacher, when she finds that her daughter has gone missing and is alleged to have been part of a rave party which has connection with people in drug business.
There is plenty of scope for Madhura in this serial, when she notices that both her husband and her daughter have lied to her about her daughter’s actual plans to attend the said party. Madhura faces the challenge to search her daughter and prove her not guilty. This is a well presented serial, but the overall 22 minutes time plus commercials every episode is too less for this thriller.
अंतरा आणि अंतराची ‘हमसफर’ आता संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्रात प्रसिध्द
कलर्स मराठीवरील ‘जीव माझा गुंतला (Jiv Majha Guntala)’ मालिका सध्या रंजक वळणावर येऊन पोहचली आहे. अंतरा (Yogita Chavan) मोठ्या संकटात अडकली असून या सगळ्यामध्ये तिला मल्हारची (Saurabh Choughule) साथ मिळणार आहे. लग्नानंतर अंतराशी भांडणार, तिच्यावर तितकासा विश्वास नसणार मल्हार आता अंतराच्या बाजूने लढताना प्रेक्षकांना बघायला मिळणार आहे. या प्रवासात मल्हारला मिळाली आहे नवी “हमसफर”. अंतरा आणि अंतराची हमसफर आता संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्रात प्रसिध्द आहेच. पण आता मल्हारदेखील हमसफर चालवताना मालिकेमध्ये दिसणार आहे. त्याच सीनचे शूटिंग सुरू असताना काढलेले काही फोटोज.
आता मल्हारने हमसफरची मदत का घेतली? नक्की काय झालं ? हे मालिकेमध्ये बघायला मिळणार आहे. अंतराला चित्राकाकीने ड्रग्सच्या केस मध्ये अडकवले खरे पण, यानिमित्ताने कुठेतरी अंतरा आणि मल्हारच्या नात्याला नवे वळण तर मिळणार नाही ना ? असा प्रश्न आपल्या सगळ्यांच्याच मनामध्ये येऊन गेला असणार. काही दिवसांपूर्वी समोर आलेल्या प्रोमोमध्ये मल्हारने अंतराला शब्द दिला जेव्हा बाजू सत्याची असते तेव्हा शंकेला जागा नसते, तुला निर्दोष सोडवणे आता माझी जबाबदारी असे म्हणताना तो दिसला. बघूया मल्हार अंतराला दिलेला शब्द कसा पाळणार.
