‘Aga Aga Sunbai Kay Mhantay Sasubai’ title song released
The title song of forthcoming Marathi film ‘Aga Aga Sunbai! Kay Mhantay Sasubai’ was released recently. This song covers all the humour filled interactions between Sasubai and Sunbai played by Nirmiti Sawant and Prarthana Behere. This song is penned by Valay Mulgund and music provided by Kunal- Karan.
Singers Vaishali Samant and Priyanka Barve have rendered this song in their voices. According to Kedar Shinde, the director of this film, is confident that the audience would appreciate this film and this song will become popular during the traditional rituals like ‘Mangalagaur’.
Produced by Zee Studios and Sunflower Studios, the story and dialogues are written by Vaishali Naik and Omkar Mangesh Dutt, while screenplay is written by Vaishali Naik. Cinematography and editing is by Mayur Hardas, this film will be released on 16th January 2026.
Kedar Shinde launches his new film with Zee Studios
After the success of his film ‘Baipan Bhari Devaa’, popular director Kedar Shinde has launched his new film ‘Aga Aga Sunbai ! Kaay Mhantay Sasubai’ together with Zee Studios. Recently, poster of this film was launched on social media, indicating that this film will be released during the new year i.e. on 16th January 2026. Kedar’s daughter Sana Shinde is the producer of this film, which will be her first film as a producer.
The poster of this film shows the back pose of Mother in law and daughter in law together. So, it is difficult to guess, who are playing these lead characters. But, Kedar Shinde says that film will present these two characters in a humorous and emotional way to indicate their strengths. “This is the story of Mother in law and daughter in law in present times.”

Sana Kedar Shinde to play Shahir Sable’s wife in his biopic
We are all aware that director Kedar Shinde had announced biopic on Shahir Sable. Suitably titled ‘Maharashtra Shahir’ to coincide with his birth centenary. At the beginning of this birth centenary year, he has announced the name of Sana Kedar Shinde, who will play the role of his Shahir’s wife Bhanumati, the well known poet, in this film. Sana is great grand daughter of Late Shahir Sable and hence has been fortunate to play this role.
Besides being a Master in Folk art of Maharashtra, having won several prestigious awards, Shahir Sable had also actively taken part in 1942 Chale Jao freedom movement, Goa and Hyderabad Mukti Sangram and Samyukta Maharashtra Movement. And therefore this biopic will be a biggest tribute to him on the occasion of his birth centenary, which will be observed from 3rd September 2022 to 3rd September 1923. The biopic will however be released in April 2023.
Starring Ankush Chaudhari and Sana Kedar Shinde this film is produced by Sanjay Chhabria (Everest Entertainment) and Bela Shinde. Story by Vasundhara Sable, Screenplay and Dialogue by Pratima Kulkarni and editing by Mayur Hardas are the other credits. Ajay Atul’s music is another highlight of this film.
Kedar Shinde to begin New year 2023 with ‘Baipan Bhari Deva’
Presented by Jio Studios, produced by Madhuri Bhosale, director Kedar Shinde has announced the release date of his new film ‘Baipan Bhari Deva’ on 6th January 2023. After ‘Ghe Double’ and ‘Godavari’, this is the third Marathi film to be presented by Jio Studios. This film is co produced by Bela Shinde and Ajit Bhure and will be dedicated to women. It is a story of six sisters who are separated while facing personal, family and financial problems.
The film ‘Baipan Bhari Devaa’ stars versatile actresses like Rohini Hattangadi, Vandana Gupte, Sukanya Kulkarni, Deepa Parab, Shilpa Navalkar and Suchitra Bandekar in lead roles. Speaking about his film, kedar Shinde said that this story of six sisters will be appreciated by Marathi film lovers and they will begin their new year with happiness and with lots of hopes. ‘Baipan Bhari Devaa’ will be Kedar Shinde’s next film
On the occasion of International Women’s day, director Kedar Shinde announced his next Marathi film ‘Baipan Bhari Devaa’ with the release of film’s teaser poster. This film is presented by Jio Studios and produced by Madhuri Bhosale along with Bela Shinde and Ajit Bhure as co producers. This is the second Marathi film to be presented by Jio Studios after ‘Mee Vasantrao’ which will be released soon.
Speaking on this occasion, Kedar Shinde said, “Women’s day was the best time to release the poster of this film. I always feel that just one day in a year is not enough to celebrate ‘Women’s day’, as the contribution made by Women today in every field is enormous. The film stars popular women artistes. However, their names have been kept in abeyance.

Kedar Shinde to pay tributes to Shahir Sablethrough his new film
The birth centenary of the great freedom fighter of Sanyukta Maharashtra Movement Shahir Sable will be celebrated next year on 3rd September 2022. Therefore to pay tributes to Shahir Sable his grandson Kedar Shinde will be making a film on his life. Shahir Sable is no more amongst us, but his songs like ‘Jai Jai Maharashtra Majha’ , ‘Ya Go Dandyavarun…’, ‘ Jejurichya Khanderaya…’ are still fresh in our memory.
Born in Parasani in Satara district on 3rd September 1923, Krushnarao Sable after studying upto 7th class soon joined his father singing Bhajans. He was lucky to be associated with legends from Maharashtra like Sane Guruji, KrantiSinh Nana Patil, Bhaurao Patil, Senapati Bapat and others. After participating in Chale Jao Movement of India’s Independence in 1942, he was also associated with Sanyukta Maharashtra, Goa and Hyderabad freedom movement.
To cover many such important moments in the life of Shahir Sable, Pratima Kulkarni has written the script of this film to be directed by Kedar Shinde. Speaking about this film, Kedar says, “ I am working very hard on this project and would like to offer something memorable to the new generation and generations to come, so that they will know the big contribution made by my grandfather.”

This film is produced by Madhuri Bhosale’s Screenshots Production and with this film Madhuri is making her debut as a producer in Marathi film industry. Through her production house she has already made progress on television , OTT and audio field and now this year they have promised more projects.
The star cast of this film has not been disclosed yet but Keadar being the director of this film, there are big expectations from this film. One thing is sure that it will be a family entertainer and will release in theatres from 28th May 2021.
‘Vajale Ki Bara’ will be remake of ‘The Play that goes wrong’
‘The Play that goes wrong’ received immense popularity in London and America at West End and Broadway . Now, a remake of this play in Marathi is being presented by Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi , who will be making his debut as a presenter in Marathi through this play. Directed by kedar Shinde, the announcement of this play was made on the occasion of Maharashtra day, by seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha at Siddhivinayak temple, Mumbai.
This play was presented by the duo Sharman and kedar in Gujarathi and English language in India and it received good response. Having directed many hit plays in the past, Kedar Shinde will be returning to Marathi stage after a gap of three and half years. Now, all eyes on ‘Vajale Ki Bara’, to see how this remake has been presented to invite the attention of Marathi drama lovers. One thing is sure that Marathi dramas have a larger audience.
