‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’, ‘June’ & ‘Mee Vasantrao’ to receive national awards
This year’s best Marathi film national award will be presented to ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’ directed by Shantanu Rode and starring Sayali Sanjeev and Suvrat Joshi in lead roles. Overwhelmed by this award for her film, actress Sayali Sanjeev said that she had put in lot of efforts in her role and therefore was happy that her film bagged national award. She said that she was dedicating this award to her father.
Siddharth Menon who played the lead role in Marathi film ‘June’ has been awarded Best actor Special Jury mention award. This has come as the biggest gift for Suiddharth who feels that his dream has been fulfilled. He said that he was dedicating his award to the entire team of ‘June’. This film is directed by Surhud Godbole and Vaibhav Khisti and written by Nikhil Mahajan. Both these films have been produced by Planet Marathi.
Another Marathi film ‘Me Vasantrao’ invited all the attention, as this film bagged two national awards. Best playback singer award for this film was declared for Rahul Deshpande, while best sound recording award for this film was declared for Anmol Bhave. Director of this film Nipun Dharmadhikari expressed his happiness on this achievement and said that music was the soul of this film.
‘mee vasantrao’ celebrates 50 days run in theatres
Marathi film ‘Mee Vasntaro’ a presentation by Jio Studios has completed 50 days run in theatres besides collecting a good amount in Crores at the box office. But, more than that this film has received appreciation from many renowned personalities, which is the biggest achievement by the makers of this film and director Nipun Dharmadhikari.
Popular actor Nana Patekar has praised actor Rahul for portraying Vasantrao with perfection, making this a best film, while actor Makarand Deshpande has appreciated the rich culture presented through this film. Well Known scientist Padmavibhushan Raghunath Malshekar after watching this film reacted, “ This film has inspired me to work for another twenty years. This is just not a film but there are many things to learn from this film.”

‘Mee Vasantaro’ ready for release on 1st April 2022
The much talked about film ‘Mee Vasantaro’ to be presented by Jio studios is now all set for release on 1st April 2022 coinciding with the auspicious Gudhi Padwa day. Recently, trailer of this film was released by popular actor Nana Patekar in a ceremony held recently, in presence of Director Nipun Dharmadhikari, Rahul Deshpande, Anita Date, Sarang Sathye, Kaumudi Walokar, Amey Wagh, Subodh Bhave, Hrishikesh Joshi, Jitendra Joshi and others.
Speaking on this occasion, chief guest Nana Patekar said, “ Renowned people don’t say Good bye to this world. They always remain in our heart through music.This is what P.L.Deshpande used to say. And this is very true in the case of Late Vasantrao Deshpande. He knew all the forms of music. His knowledge was vast. I am fortunate to have met him . I have seen this film on his life and it has been presented very well. This film will be one of the best films in Marathi. And Rahul has done full justice in the role of his grandfather.”
Teaser of ‘Mee Vasantaro’ released by Ustad Zakir Hussain
Vasantrao Deshpande was a renowned vocalist who was known for his big contribution to Natya sangeet. Now, his life journey is being presented through much awaited Marathi film ‘Mee Vasantaro’. Recently, the Teaser of this film was released at the hands of renowned Tabla player and Padmabhushan Ustad Zakir Hussain. This first look was later released on social media.
Speaking on this occasion Ustad Zakir Hussain recalled his association with Pandit Vasantrao, when as a eight year old little boy he had the privilege of playing tablaa during Pandit Vasantaro’s event. I consider myself fortunate that I was close to him. His last performance was also in my presence. “Today he is not amongst us, but his voice is still with us.I am grateful to Rahul that through this film he has paid perfect tribute to his grandfather.
Singer, actor and music director Rahul Deshpande said , “The dream which myself and Nipun saw together has come true through this film. ‘Mee Vasantrao’ ready for release on 1st April
The biopic on legend of Hindustani Classical music Pandit Vasantrao Deshpande (मी वसंतराव) is now ready for release on 1st April 2022 on the auspicious occasion of Gudhi Padwa. Presented by Jio Studios, produced by Chandrashekhar Gokhale, Darshan Desai and Niranjan Kirloskar this film is directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari and stars Rahul Deshpande , grandson of Vasantrao Deshpande, in lead role. Along with Rahul Dehpande, the film also stars Anita Date, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Kaumudi Valokar and Amey Wagh in lead roles.
Besides playing title role, Rahul Deshpande has also provided music for this film. Speaking about his film, Rahul says, “The dream I saw 9 years ago, is being fulfilled through the release of this film. I am really thankful to my friends Nipun, Shekhar, Shrikant, Niranjan and other friends who took lot of efforts in making of this film.” Director Nipun Dharmadhikari also feels that the hard work by his entire team for the past 9 years, is finally watching the results. “I am sure the audience will appreciate this film,” he said.
