New Show ‘Patla Tar Ghya with Jayanti’ on Planet Marathi
Planet Marathi OTT Channel which has offered variety of Marathi web films and series during the last year, will now be offering variety of entertainment shows in the year 2023. ‘Patla Tar Ghya with Jayanti’ an entertainment show anchored by Jayanti Waghmare will be one of them. Through this show, Jayanti, who has 12 years experience in Marathi entertainment industry, will be presenting talk shows and game shows with Marathi celebrities.
This show which has begun from 26th January 2023 with talk show with Tejaswini Pandit and Abhijit Panse will be presented every Friday with new episode. In the forthcoming episodes, you will meet the celebrities like Amruta Khanvilkar, Sonali Kulkarni, Prajakta Mali , Om Raut and others, who will be interviewed by Jayanti to extract some unknown things in their life not known to their fans.

Amruta Khanvilkar to play Lalita Babar in her biopic
Popular Marathi actress Amruta Khanvilkar will be playing the role of renowned international level athlete Lalita Shivaji Babar in her biopic to be presented by Akshay Bardapurkar, Planet Marathi and Endemol Shine India. This film will be produced by Akshay Vilas Bardapurkar, Rishi Negi, Gaurav Gokhaleand Ronit Mitra. Announcement of this Marathi film was made on the occasion of Republic day with the release of poster of this film, carrying the photo of lead actress Amruta Khanvilkar.

According to the makers of this film, this film will be released on next republic day, i.e. on 26th January 2024. Speaking about her role in this film, Amruta Khanvilkar says, “I am glad that I got an opportunity to play the role of world renowned athlete like Lalit Babar who has many achievements on record. For the past one year I have been in touch with her and studying her behaviour and body language , so that I could give full justice to this character.”
Mr. Akshay Bardapurkar feels that a biopic on the life of a girl coming from a from farmer’s family in small village from Satara, would certainly inspire one and all. Gaurav Gokhale from Endemol Shine India says that after making National level and regional films, with this film they have entered the Marathi film industry in association with Planet Marathi He is confident that a talented actress like Amruta will give justice to her character in this film.

‘Athang’ Part 3 and 4 released on OTT platform
Marathi Web Series ‘Athang’ which had invited the attention of home viewers with its first 2 episodes on Planet Marathi OTT platform, have now released the part 3 and 4 of their web series to generate more curiosity among the viewers. Now, all eyes on Raosaheb the main character taking his next decisions in his traditional mansion house filled with anxiety. Kranti Redkar to produce her Reality show on OTT platform
Kranti Redkar’s own production house ‘That Happy Girl‘ will be producing a unique reality show on Planet Marathi’s OTT platform. After having presented web films and web series on their OTT platform, this is new step taken by Planet Marathi, to offer a reality show produced by Kranti Redkar. Speaking about this show, Planet Marathi Chief Mr. Akshay Bardapurkar said that it will be a different type of reality show, details of which will be announced soon.

Mrunal Kulkarni’s Web Film ‘Sahela Re’ on OTT Platform
Directed by Mrunal Kulkarni, forthcoming Marathi Web Film ‘Sahela Re (सहेला रे)’ is all set to release on Planet Marathi OTT platform from 1st October 2022. With the tagline ‘Kaahi Natyanna Naav Nasata – काही नात्याना नाव नसतं ’ ( Some relationships have no name) this web film stars Mrunal Kulkarni, Subodh Bhave and Sumeet Raghavan in lead roles. It may be recalled that the Teaser of this web film was launched during the Dubai Expo 2020. Highlight of this film is that besides directing and acting in this film, Mrunal Kulkarni has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues of this film.
Special show of this film was held during the Goa International Film Festival followed by recent special show of this film held at the 5th India International film festival in Boston. Till now, we had seen the clippings of celebrities weddings on social media or news channels. But, now the film of entire wedding ceremony of popular Marathi actress Sonalee Kulkarni and Kunal Benodekar will be shown on Planet Marathi from 11th August 2022. An announcement to this effect has been made by Planet Marathi channel, by releasing trailer of this film. The wedding ceremony in presence of close relatives and friends was held in London recently.

Abhijit Panse’s next Marathi web series ‘Raji Nama’
Political developments in Maharashtra has taken a new turn in last few days. But, our film makers are nowhere behind to catch up with such developments, to present their films. Abhijit Panse who recently released his web series ‘RaanBazaar’, a political thriller received a good response on OTT platform. Perhaps, looking at the popularity of such subjects among home viewers, he is now ready to offer another web series, on the current political scenario in Maharashtra through his new web series ‘Raji Nama’ suitably titled to invite the attention of viewers.
This series will be aired on Planet Marathi OTT platform soon.
