Jitendra Joshi to present talk show ‘Don Special’ on Colors Marathi
Television Talk shows have always invited attention of the home viewers, especially in Marathi. And the reason is simple. People would always like to know the frank opinion expressed by the guest invitees in such shows. But, it is equally important to have the proper host, who should be able to extract the best from such celebrities. Jitendra Joshi, known for his frank and humour filled chat , he will be hosting one such show ‘Don Special’, which will be telecast every Thursday and Friday at 9.30 pm on Colors Marathi channel.
Many renowned celebrities from Marathi stage, television and films will be part of this show and the very first episode will present Subodh Bhave and Sumeet Raghavan together. So, you can imagine, how Jitendra will handle them to speak out their frank opinion on different subjects. In the subsequent episodes there will be pairs like Guru Thakur- Kishore kadam, followed by participants from Big Boss-2 season and others.
Speaking about his show, Jitendra said,“The celebrities invited in this show will be all known celebrities in Marathi. And this programme will try to extract from them what the people are not aware. This being my programme, there will not be any kind of pretended show, but there will be more freedom offered to the guests.:
Fakt Marathi channel to offer ‘Anadi Nirgun’ Movie Festival during Navaratri
We are all aware that the nine day Navratri festival is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm in different parts of the country. Fakt Marathi channel will also is celebrating Navratri by playing nine devotional movies of Goddesses for the home viewers, with a movie festival titled ‘Anadi Nirgun’. The movie festival which is commencing from 29th September will end on 7th September. All these nine movies shall be broadcasted at 08:30 time band.
The Movie Festival consists of films like ‘Aai Tulja Bhawani’ (29/09/2019), ‘Kalubai Pavali Navasala’ (30/09/2019), ‘Jai Mohata Devi’ (01/10/2019), ‘May Mauli Manudevi’ (02/10/2019), ‘Mahima Annapurna Devicha’ (03/10/2019), ‘Aai Ekvirecha Udo Udo’ (04/10/2019), ‘Jogwa Ambabaicha’ (05/10/2019), ‘Kulaswamini Tuljabhawani’ (06/10/2019) and ‘Ma Shakambharicha Mahima’ (07/10/2019). According to the channel press release, All of these movies have significant stars from Marathi industry. Also each film has a strong message underlined depicting the prowess of each goddess and women power.

Accordingly, it is catering across all segments of the society, dedicated to all entertainment needs of viewers with best programs and movies. Fakta Marathi channel offers two new shows
Fakta Marathi Channel which was known for 24×7 film channel is now going for a change. The channel recently introduced two Marathi serials namely ‘Sindhu’ and ‘Dhumdhadaka’, which have been appreciated by the home viewers. Speaking about the change , Fakta Marathi Business Head Mr. Shyam Malekar said, “Till now we offered good quality films for 24 hours a day. Now, with this change we wish to offer quality Marathi serials which are in the making. The two shows including ‘Sindhu’ have already been appreciated by home viewers. Therefore, very soon we will be introducing few more shows.”
Talking about ‘Sindhu’ which is a period serial set on the backdrop of 19th century, there will be interesting happening in the life of little Sindhu the title character who is shown as daughter of Asthtaputre . So, the child marriage scene, which prevailed during that century will be witnessed in this serial soon. Sindhu will be getting married to Devavrat Ranade. The makers are making all efforts to shoot these scenes to show the culture which existed during that period especially for such marriages. More attention has been paid on property like costumes, ornaments etc.
The two child artistes namely Aditi Jaltare playing Sindhu and Srihari Abhyankar playing Devavrat are also displaying their talent through their respective roles. Good support is also coming from other artistes like Gauri Kiran, Megha Matkar, Prabhakar Vartak, Shashwati Pimplikar & Pooja Mithbavkar. This show is being aired on this channel daily at 8 pm.

‘Swarajya Janani Jijamata’ on Sony Marathi from 19th August
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj the ideal King who has been the inspiration of the people of Maharashtra is worshipped like a God. And his mother Rajamata Jijaoo who was his first Guru is also known as the brave woman who encouraged her son to fight injustice. She was not only known as an ideal mother, the duty bound wife but also an efficient administrator.
Till now, we have seen the heroic deeds of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and also his brave son Sambhaji Maharaj through Marathi films and serials. Now, through the forthcoming Marathi TV serial ‘Swarajya Janani Jijamata’ the home viewers will get to see the strengths of this brave mother of Shivaji Maharaj . The serial is all set to be aired on Sony Marathi channel from 19th August from Monday to Saturday at 8.30 pm.
In a press conference held recently Sony Marathi Business head Mr. Ajay Bhalwankar unveiled the title song of this serial, which briefs important moments in the life of Rajmata Jijabai. On this occasion the entire team of lyricist , music director and singers were present along with director Vivek Deshpande, writers Vivek Apte & Prasad Thosar. This is the second production from Dr. Amol Kolhe, who is the producer of this serial along with Vilas Sawant and Ghanashyam Rao. Nishtha Vaidya and Amruta Pawar will be playing the younger and elder title roles of Jijaoo in this serial.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Amol Kolhe said that he very much wanted to show the new generation the importance of a brave mother and her timely decisions . “This serial will be a biggest tribute to Jijamata.”
Varad Chavan impresses as Police Inspector in ‘Jeevalaga’
Till recently, the ongoing Marathi serial ‘Jeevalaga’ on Star Pravah was centred around four lead characters played by Swapnil Joshi, Amruta Khanvilkar, Siddharth Chandekar, Madhura Deshpande and few character artistes around them. But, with the new twist in this serial and with the entry of Police Inspector played by Varad Chavan there are many interesting happenings taking place in this serial. However, it is Varad Chavan with his new image as a police inspector has been inviting all the attention, with his particular style of dialect which also invites some humour into this serial.
Having performed variety of roles in many TV serials and Marathi films, Varad established his own identity as an actor through his characters played in ‘Ajuni Chand raat Aahe’, ‘Mangalsutra’, ‘Asmita’, ‘Devyani‘, ‘Madhu Ithe Chara Tithe’, ‘Ek Taas Bhutacha’ & ‘Runji’ serials. He also impressed through his important roles in Marathi films like ‘Kho Kho’, ‘On Duty 24 taas’, ‘Tujhi Majhi Love Story’, ‘Shrimant Damodar Pant’ and so on.
Varad is now following the footsteps of his father late Vijay Chavan a legend of Marathi entertainment industry. During the past few years, he has also gained a lot of experience, to prove his skills.Last time when we met him, he had said that was more keen on playing an angry young man action hero and with this role of Police Inspector, this 6ft + tall smart and handsome actor has certainly been receiving not only good response from his admirers but is also likely to receive better offers from the TV and serial film makers . But, this present role of Police Inspector in ‘Jeevalaga’ will surely take him a long way to attain more and more success in his acting career.

Vaibhav Mangle to play Judge of ‘Yuva Singer Ek Number’
