Rutwikk Kendre who began his acting career on small screen with ‘Manasicha Chitrakar’ later made his presence felt in Marathi stage and films. Only last month his film ‘Dry Day’ was released. Rutwik is presently shooting for his next film ‘Sargam’ But, besides this Marathi film, Rutwik who is the son of Marathi plays’ director Waman Kendre, is also opting for South films. According to reliable sources close to him, Rutwik is all set to make his debut in south films.

Rutwik is working very hard for his entry in south films. He is also being trained in martial arts, besides looking well after his fitness. Till now, no details are available about this film’s title etc. But, one thing is sure that his admirers are keen to know more about this film. Having received training at home since his childhood , Rutwik looks very confident while moving in all the three fields of acting, i.e. cinema, television and stage.

Being the son of reputed Marathi drama director Waman Kendre and actress veteran Gauri Kendre, he already has acting in his blood and possesses the required talent to become a good actor. Today, Rutwikk Kendre has already established himself on television and Marathi theatre at a young age. His Hindi drama ‘Mohe Piya’ has become popular all over India and now the good news is that his film ‘Sargam’ will be released soon.

Rutwikk has himself unveiled the official poster of his film ‘Sargam’ on his social networking page and we find him behind a camera and also facing the camera. One thing is sure that Rutwikk is playing the lead role in this film, giving him enough scope to display his talent, but what kind of role he is playing is still not known. Obviously, there are big expectations from this young actor on big screen. The film is written and directed by Shiv Kadam.

Sargam’ bags best play ABMNP award

The Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Natya Parishad awards have been disclosed. Marathi play ‘Sargam’ has been adjudged as the Best play, while the best comedy play award goes to ‘Karun Gelo Gaav’. While Amruta Subhash has been declared best actress, Suhas Palshikar finds his name in the Best actor’s category.

Among some of the other important awards, Abhiram Bhadkamkar has been honoured as the best dramatist and Amol Bhate receives the Balgandharva award. The Rangadevta award goes to Subodh Bhave this time. This year’s beneficiaries for the Lifetime achievement award are Suhas Joshi and Satish Alekar.
